"Yeah, well good for you both," Zenl said in his sarcastic, condecending tone, "I'm Zenl, so now that we all know each other, can you just sit down and leave me alone?" He really didn't want to come over here, he'd actually rather be policing the line than hanging out with newbies.
Something wrong, Levis asked teasingly, You seem a bit angry.
Thank God you're back, Levis he replied, outwardly perking up, I got stuck with the newbies.
That's not so bad is it? Levis replied, They seem pretty cute by human standards.
Aww, just go back hunting, Zenl replied, feeling a little heat rise to his cheeks.
Don't need to for another couple of days, Levis stated, holding in his laughs, But I could use a nap, so I'll leave you be for a few hours.
Thank you! Zenl replied, closing his eyes and appearing to sleep himself.

Calaily looked down at the table. "My parents abandoned me when I was little...." She took a sip of water. "But could you maybe give a letter to my friend?" Calaily pulled a folded piece of paper from her pocket. "I haven't seen her in a while. Her name is Hayley Zarin." Calaily set the piece of paper on the table and smiled sweetly.

((Hey guys, I was thinking about putting a list of the cities and such, as well as a glossary to the ancient language in here. Do you guys have any comments on that?))
"Sure, I could do that," Jai'kar lied, smiling to himself about the girl's naivety, "But I need to know where she lives first." He was beginning to enjoy the whole manipulation aspect of this mission. "And I'm sorry to hear about your family," he lied again, "I can only imagine what it felt like when they abandoned you." He had to continually resist the urge to feel her mind to understand what he should say and quiet any suspicion that she had about him, as doing so would ruin his entire plan.

((That would be nice. I haven't read the series in a while to I kinda forgot stuff.))
Calaily smiled at the man's kindness. "Uh.... Last time I heard from her she was living in a small inn just outside of [making this up here] Marinia." Calaily said, straining to remember where her friend had lived. "What is this man up to?" She wondered to herself, strengthening the shield around her mind just in case.

[[ sounds cool to me. ]]
Delrya glared at Zenl and turned, walking away from him and hanging away from everyone else by herself, looking at the silver egg sadly. She sighed as she thought on things a bit then hugged the egg slightly. "Why did you have to pick me...?" she whispered to it, making it to where only, if the egg were listening, to here only it could heat her.
She looked around at the people again, unable to keep the hate off her face when she looked at Zenl. He'd already made her foe list.

((Hey guys, I got the Glossary of Places done, but I haven't got the Ancient Language done yet. I plan on doing that tomorrow as I have to get off now.:)))
Tali just shrugged off Zenl's anger like it was nothing. She's dealt with worse, so it didn't really bother her, though it seemed to bother Mrs. Sol'tri. Tali was debating whether to get up and talk to her or not, second-guessing herself is what most people would call it. Making her decision, she stood up and walked over to where she was standing. "I-I w-wouldn't worry too much about him," she stammered timidly, feeling a bit scared at the look on her face, "There are worse people out there Mrs. Sol'tri." At the mention of worse people, she shuddered, remembering her parents and her master and his friends.
Jai'kar shrugged innocently as he spoke, "I don't recall that particular place. Are you sure you're not talking about the Mountain of Marna?" He was glad that she hadn't heard of the horrible fire that had devestated the area, which he had caused. Her friend was probably dead, but he didn't really care. He had had no intention of delivering the letter in the first place.

Delrya smiled at her. "Call me Delrya darling. And I know there are much, much worse people out there..." she said and pointed a Zenl. "He wasn't worth my time, else I would have taught him a very valuable Sol'tri Respect lesson!" she told the girl jokingly and giggled slighty. "And Calm yourself, take a deep breath, count to ten, it helps." she told the girl and looked around nervously. "Where are the other riders?" she asked.

"I don't think so.... Could be but I used to live with her and I don't remember living in that particular place...." Hayley trailed off, taking another sip of her water. "You think this man has ulterior motives?" A voice said in Hayley's head. She jumped a bit, spilling some of her water on her arm. Hayley blushed a bit and wiped up the water.

((Hey guys, I finished the Glossary of the Ancient Language, though I only used things for magic. I might add more things to it in the future as it is so far incomplete, as I only have Eldest.:)))
"O-Okay, Mis-Delrya," Tali stammered quietly, catching herself before she finished with the "Miss" part, "What does counting to ten help with? Their's only one other Rider and she went off with this creepy guy." She looked back the way Calaily had gone as she finished speaking, wishing her safety while she was around the man. "I'm really worried about her. The man just seemed wrong for some reason," she said leaving out the part about her blacking out after his attack. She could still smell the bile, but that was either her imagination or her sensitive sense of smell. I really hope that it's just my imagination, she thought, wrinkling her nose, Or, at the very least, that no one else can smell it.
"Something the matter?" Jai'kar asked as Calaily started, "About the village you're talking about, now that I think about it, I remember hearing that it was burned down by bandits, though I can't remember the exact date, or time frame." He called the waitress over for another glass of wine as he waited for a response, all the time suspecting something of interfering with his plan, and hiding a scowl by talking mentally with his dragon.

"N-no. I'm fine. Just.... Felt something. The village burned down? That's so sad. I hope she got out of there." Calaily took another sip of water. "I think this man is quite suspicious." The voice said in her head again. This time she acted as if nothing had happened but took the words into account.

Delrya frowned. "Creepy? In what ways?" she asked her curiously, standing and looking towards Zenl. "if something's up shouldn't we tell him? Wouldn't he be able top help?" She asked and frowned, a nagging at the back of her mind told her something just wasn't right. "All of the riders are supposed to be back here correct?" Delrya asked and frowned at herself, feeling like she was prodding the poor girl a bit too much and got quiet again.

"I can't really explain it," Tali explained apologetically, just a bit uncomfortable with all the questions, "He just feels wrong. He had a gedwey ignasia, but he didn't seem like any Dragon Rider I'd ever seen." She still left out the part about the mental attack, feeling ill at the thought of it.
"No, I hate to be the bearer of bad news," Jai'kar said, apparently saddened by the girl's loss, but secretly relishing it, "But it happened in the middle of the night, and no survivors were found." He decided that he'd risk it and slipped into her mind, testing the defenses there. He was a master of the mind, having tortured many people by bringing their worst nightmares to life, which meant that he was subtle enough to test her defenses without ever raising an alarm. They were surprisingly strong for a human, especially one who had no experience in magic. He exited her mind and thought to himself, It would be so easy to slip past the holes in her mental walls and plant the trusting feelings, but that wouldn't be as fun. He entered her mind again, testing the various defenses, while waiting for her response.

"Oh.... Well.... I'm going to stay positive and hope that she moved." Calaily perked up a bit and took another swallow of water. "The man is testing your mental defenses." The voice in her head told her. Calaily was startled by what the voice said. She worked up the defenses as much as she could without it being noticable.

"Wait, what!?" Zenl said, popping out of his chair, "What did this man look like?" He knew he sounded aggressive, and from the look on the small girl's face, intimidating, but he needed to know what the man looked like. "Did he have a long cloak on? Blonde hair? Red demonic eyes?" he continued rapid-fire. If the answer was yes, he had to go after him right away, but if it was no, than it didn't mean anything.

"Y-y-yeah, w-why?" Tali stammered timidly, seeming to shrink even more at the face that Zenl was giving her, "T-they went to the G-golden C-castle inn."
Jai'kar was still inside Calaily's mind when the voice warned her of what he was doing. He violently shoved the voice outside of her head, it disappearing to quickly for him to locate the source. "I'm sorry," he lied, seeming to be apologizing, "I shouldn't have been testing your mental defenses like that. I haven't been the same concerning trust since my brother betrayed me. But I am surprised at how a human with no magical experience could build up such a strong defense. Care to explain?"

"When I was younger my friend was concerned that I would run into someone that could do me harm in my travels. And I've been with the riders since I was ten. They've helped me strengthen it." Calaily smiled a bit at that. "You shouldn't be giving him so much information." The voice said again. Calaily realized that she should respond to the voice. "I'm know what I'm doing. I've been doing things like this since I was, oh, four." Calaily smiled again and took the last sip of her water.

Jai'kar was actually in the girl's mind when he heard the voice again. He again pushed it out, but wasn't fast enough to do it before the message was delivered, or it escaped back to its source. He snarled mentally in frustration before going back to rooting through memories, feelings, thoughts, anything that would smoothen his plan.

Zenl ran towards the inn after telling the two newbies to stay put, shouting to Levis telepathically, Levis! Wake up and meet me at the Golden Castle inn! The fugitive is there! He pushed the mental connection out of the forefront of his mind, so that he could focus on getting there. As he was running a large shadow appeared above him and appeared to roll. A silver object fell down and clattered to the street noisily as civilians jumped out of the way. He grabbed it as he ran by, belting the sword to his hip. When he reached the inn, he had his dragon rest just outside, in the middle of the street. The people stayed a good distance away, wary that it wasn't tame. He barged inside, shouting, "Jai'kar, you are under arrest for desertion and treason to the Order of the Riders! Stand and come quietly, or I'll be forced to use force!"
((Hey Paramore, is this okay with you? If you wanted to do something specific, I understand and can edit the post:)))

Calaily felt something in her mind. She took the block and retracted it around things that would do harm if the man found them out. All of a sudden one of the dragon riders she had seen before burst into the inn. He said something about someone abandoning the order and told them to surrender. Calaily grinned and pushed against the being in her mind, knowing it was the man.
((That's completely fine. I had no idea what I was going to do. Haha.))

Jai'kar felt the girl attempt to push him out at the same time that he heard the Dragon Rider shout for his arrest. He quickly shoved the girl with half the force that he had used to push the little girl earlier and stood. "Are you sure you want to face me, boy?" he shouted to the Dragon Rider, "I could kill you with a simple word." As he finished his threat, he drew his sword and called Nykrosion and said, We may have to beat a hasty retreat if he calls the Elders. Get into a position where we can escape easily.
His dragon's outside, waiting for you and me to try to escape, Nykrosion replied sounding bored.
Doesn't matter, just stay hidden and wait for me to speak to you again, Jai'kar commanded and waited for his young opponent to react.

Calaily felt the man push back at her. She didn't feel much and she jumped up. She picked her backpack up and pulled out her sword. "You think you're so good, don't you?" Calaily sneered at the man, Jai'kar. She was standing behind him so she gestured to the rider at the door to make a move.

Jai'kar, the fugitive, seemed to be lost in thought, so Zenl seized the oppurtunity and shouted, "Brisingr!" The room had cleared out, the people not wanting to be caught in a magician's duel, so he had no fear of hitting anyone, other than the girl behind Jai'kar. He watched with satisfaction as the silver ball of flame shot towards his enemy.

"Adurna," Jai'kar said simply, leaving the boy speechless as the fire fizzled out in midair. He seemed to be lost in thought, yes, but he was actually using the polished pewter mugs as a mirror to keep an eye on the girl behind him. He continued with a spell of his own, "Thrysta vindr." As he finished the spell the air in front of him coalesced into a visible ball of compressed air and shot towards the boy.

Zenl felt himself get hit with what felt like a solid rock, though he knew it was just air. He had been thrown back into the wall, leaving a sizable dent as he fell away from it. He was gasping for air as the impact had knocked all of the wind out of him. As he staggered to his feet, he said, "Thrysta," as he also threw a handful of splinters from the wall at his enemy, making them fly so fast the air whizzed with movement.
