Alair had heard stories about a courageous werewolf who was once feared and now had been outcast. It just hadn't crossed the vampire's mind that this was the wolf who'd saved him. If he knew, he wouldn't even have thought the wolf would be the said legend with him saving him. "I see," he'd said, smiling a little sadly before he'd looked back into the fire and put his hand back down to his side. Odd how such a question of his own had reminded him of his brother who'd just betrayed him. A war, too, he was sure was coming. Hopefully, they won't be killing any innocent people or being, for that matter, in the process.

"It's been years since I've gone to a festival," he started, looking to Shiro again and hoping to change the subject. "Shall we go together later?" he asked as he'd given him a gentle smile.

The wolf lifted his head curiously at the suggestion. It would be interesting to go with someone else for a change, especially one who might know more about humans than he did. Of course he'd have to dress properly before hand and he was rather uncomfortable with shoes and shirts, but if it was just for a few hours he would be fine. "It would be fun," said Shiro nodding his head a bit. He wondered however if there would be others of either his kin or Alair's kin there. He had never noticed before because he'd usually stayed to the outskirts of the festival. This would be a new experiance.

Alair was glad the wolf had agreed to his proposition. "I'm sure it would be," he agreed, nodding, before he'd looked at the wolf for a moment or two, "Though... I think you must be dressed. Would you be all right wearing clothes and shoes?" The vampire reached out to take a few strands of the other's hair. "And tie up your hair?" He was quite sure the other would look good and have human women turn their heads towards him. Alair thought of him as a good-looking man in his human form. Usually, his tastes aren't as different as humans. He still retained some of his human traits even though he's turned after all.

"What do you think of bathing, too, to clean yourself up?" He knew wolves cleaned their fur with their tongue but he couldn't help but wonder what the other would say about it.

Shiro nodded about the clothes and hair, he expected the vampire knew more about those things than he did. The only thing he was certain of was that humans seemed to prefer you to be dressed. While that wasn't top of Shiro's list of important things he knew it was a must for those that wished to blend in with the humans. Again as he was one of the few surviving born werewolf it wasn't necessary for him to live amongst humans. His pack had had a few human turned werewolves that only came to the pack during the week of the full moon, they had been an interesting lot.

"I'm clean?" the wolf asked half confused.

The vampire stepped a little closer to the werewolf and brought the few strands of red hair close to his face. He'd moved his head to meet his movements halfway and he let his eyes slide shut as he smelled his sweet scent. He could hear his blood pumping through those arteries of his, through the other's veins and listened to them as they went around the other's system. "Humans use water to clean themselves," he started, his voice unconsciously turning a little husky - almost seductive. The other's scent with him this close was enough to turn him on a little. "With soap and hair products." He glanced over at the sink. "The human that lives here, he seems to still be caring much about bath."

Before the vampire could jump on the werewolf and unknowingly get himself killed in the process, he let go of his hair and quickly stepped back to calm his raging want and craving to have a taste of the wolf's blood. "We could skip the bathing part and just dress you up in normal clothes, at least," he said, moving to where he'd found the shirt he was wearing a while ago to start looking for clothes that should fit the male.

Shiro blinked a little as the vampire stepped closer. He didn't find it odd at all to have his scent taken in by another, to him is was normal. However, there did seem something odd about it, but he merely shrugged it off. The wolf tilted his head at the slight change in the vampire's voice, it sounded familiar, the tone but he couldn't place it at the moment.

"I guess," said Shiro a bit confused now by the vampire's actions, "if it would help to fit in." He moved after the vampire to help in the search for clothes that would fit his form. He was built a lot different than the human who had lived here, it would probably turn out to only contain clothes that were tight on him.

With the werewolf so close again, the vampire couldn't help but feel his restraints being tested. Was the other even aware of how dangerous it'd be to be so close to him? Now that he was slightly healed and his sense of smell was starting to get stronger, the werewolf's scent was too tempting. Only a taste... even just a little... His eyes widened at his own thoughts. Even he'd found himself fearing himself. He couldn't come to hurt the one that had saved him. The vampire got up to his feet and he'd put a distance between them.

His pupils dilated a little and he'd momentarily shut his eyes. "Choose a shirt that would fit you," he started, bringing up a hand to stroke his own throat. His mouth would be watering now if he had saliva. "I'll see if he has shoes for you." The first place he'd searched was under the bed. It was as he'd expected. Hunters usually had little cabins like these. Taking the two pairs of shoes, he put them out and turned to look at Shiro. "Have you chosen, Shiro?"

Shiro blinked a bit as the vampire moved away. Something was wrong, but the wolf didn't know what or even how to ask. For now he just let it go, maybe the vampire's wounds were still bothering him. He nodded his head and started looking through the shirts pulling out the largest one he could find. It was a simple black cotton shirt. Shiro pulled it on, the fabric was rather snug against his body but it wasn't uncomfortable.

The wolf looked at the shoes perhaps less than thrilled. He hated having anything on his feet it made him feel disconnected from his surroundings. But it would only be for a little while.

The look he saw on the other's face made him laugh a little. "Do you know how to walk with shoes?" he asked him, motioning for him to sit on the bed. There were two shoes they could choose from and he wanted to know which shoes Shiro would be used to. He can't have the wolf complaining during the festival, especially if he gets picked by the humans to dance. It'd be nice if he could feel warmth for once, but he knew not to put too much hope in such wishful thinking. He'd learned it the hard way and he didn't want getting hurt again, even though it was believed that they, vampires, don't feel a thing - it's the emotional aspect that's still present, making them more human than a beast.

Once Shiro would have himself seated, the vampire would've had gone to his knees to help the other put on the shoes. "How's this one?" he asked, tilting his head a little. It felt like a snug fit. The other's toes must be feeling trapped inside the shoes. The other one looked like hunter shoes - the ones he'd be having the werewolf try in a bit.

The wolf shook his head in response to the question. There had been few instances where he had to wear shoes and each time as he recalled it had seemed very awkward to him to walk in them. However, somehow he had managed to pass unnoticed amongst humans so it could have just been a feeling of awkwardness without actually looking awkward.

Shiro sat on the bed as he was motioned to do so and it took quite a bit of willpower not to curl his legs up under him, it felt odd to sit with his legs hanging off the side of the bed and his feet on the floor. "It's tight," he said trying to wiggles his toes within the shoes to no avail.

Alair had thought so. "Then," he started as he'd looked up at him, "I'll teach you how." It was the least he could do with the other helping him out a while ago. In fact, it still wouldn't be enough even if the wolf learns how to walk in them shoes. When he'd heard the other's reply, he'd quickly taken them off and gave the other's toes a little massage before he'd slipped the hunter shoes on the wolf's feet. He didn't tie up the shoes. It was halfway past the ankles so it should be good to thread through the snow in these. They didn't seem too tight on the other, too.

"Better?" he asked, his tone gentle as if he were talking to a child. Alair had missed this. He did once have a nephew who was younger than him back when he was alive. It was he who took care of the child while his parents were away. Idly, the memories made him wonder how he is now. Must be dead, though. It's been centuries since then, he thought a little sadly. All he could hope then after realizing this thought is that his nephew had led a good life.

The wolf tilted his head to the side. He wondered how one taught someone how to walk when they already knew how. It was just strange with shoes was all. But if Alair could teach him how to make it feel less awkward than he was willing to give it a try. Worst thing that could happen would be that he never wore shoes again. No big loss in his mind.

The short little massage to his toes felt really nice and had he been in wolf form his tail would have been wagging happily. Shiro looked down as the other pair of shoes were slipped onto his feet. They were indeed much better. "Yes much," he said looking at Alair.

The vampire smiled at the other's reply. "Then," he started as he'd gotten up to his feet. He nodded, "Let's see how you walk first." Stepping aside, the vampire motioned to the other to start walking. "Just around the house," he told him as he'd looked towards the fireplace. The fire was starting to die, he'd noticed, so he'd went to it to get a log and toss it into the fire. The next thing he did was look for something to give a bit of air to the side fire so it'd eat up the new log.

Turning to look towards Shiro, he waited for him to start walking so he could see how he does it. Alair wasn't the least bit surprised. Surely, Shiro didn't spend much time in his human form, which could explain why he isn't used to things like this. Not that he minded one bit. Shiro may be handsome in his human form, but he doesn't look so bad either in his wolf form. He reminds me much of a dog, though, he thought with his lips tugging up into a rather amused smile.

Shiro stood from the seated position. He wiggled his toes a little in the boots trying to get used to the feeling of having his feet contained. Once adjusted to that, as best he could, he took a step forward. To him it was odd not to feel the wooden planks beneath his bear feet and in a way it threw his balance off so he stumbled to one side at first but managed to gain his footing quickly.

"How humans do this?" he asked slightly, "Can't feel what beneath feet."

Alair let out a quiet laugh. "That's the sole purpose of shoes," he told him as he'd smiled, "It's to protect your feet and prevents you from touching the ground like what you're used to." He turned around to face Shiro and raised his arms a little. "Think of that," he started, "Think of the sole of your shoes as your feet." The vampire motioned to Shiro to come over. "Just step one at a time. You don't have to think too much about what you're stepping on."

Shiro raised a confused brow. He didn't understand why anyone would want to do that. He found it much more pleasing to be able to feel what you were walking on but he guessed humans wouldn't understand that desire. "Still strange," he said taking a careful step forward just trying to walk normally, he still felt off balanced though. Shiro let out a slight disdainful sound before taking another step trying to figure it out.

The vampire smiled. He moved closer to the other and held out a hand. His sweet scent attacked his nostrils against and he couldn't help but feel his tongue lick his lips. "Take my hand," he told him, "I'll be your crutch." Should the other fall or stumble, at least, he'll pull him quickly back up. After a few moments of silence, he'd tilted his head a little. "Shiro, when was the last time you've worn human clothes and shoes?" he asked, his eyes still gentle as he'd watched Shiro's every move.

Shiro's yellow eyes looked at the hand unsure at first before nodding his head and taking it. The wolf seemed to be getting better at the whole walking thing with each step though he did teeter to one side of the other occasionally. He lifted his head, which had been focusing on the floor and his own feet, at the question. "It's been a long time, not sure how long," he said.

Alair nodded in understanding. When he saw the improvement in the other, he couldn't help but smile. "You're almost there," he told him, noting how he almost perfected walking. At least, it wasn't all too awkward much. With the close contact, the vampire relished in the werewolf's sweet scent. It's been believed that werewolves didn't have scents like these that attracted vampires but to Alair, Shiro's was sweet and innocent. Delicious. He wished that one of this days would have him tasting Shiro's sweet blood.

"What do you think of vampires like us, Shiro?"

Shiro stopped and turned his yellow gaze onto the vampire. The question was a dangerous one to ask. To most werewolves Vampires were to be avoided. They were the major enemy of Shiro's kind, right above humans. His whole life had been based around hating and distrusting vampires because of the wars. From the mouths of his kind you would hear that the vampires had started every war, of course Shiro knew better.

"You really want to know?" asked Shiro his tone very serious and any childlike quality that had been there before seemed to have gone away.

Alair had an idea but he wanted to hear it from another werewolf like Shiro. He'd heard the vampire's side. Much like his current nature, he couldn't bear it when creatures have these wars and spite each other. Pulling himself together, he gave Shiro a rather serious look - not one that's dangerous but one that only seek nothing but the truth. "Yes," he replied, his hand never letting Shiro's own hand go, "I want to know."

The wolf looked down at their hands before nodding his head and looking back up. "Vampires are not to be trusted," said Shiro the words sounding more like they were rehearsed than natural, but it was one of the werewolf doctrines so most would know the words and recite them as such. "It is believed that the vampires started every war," continued Shiro before shrugging, "I know better." If he recalled correctly he'd actually helped start one once.

The other's words hit him like ice. It had gotten him depressed. But, the other's last words made him look back up at the wolf. "Even I believe that," he started, shaking his head before he'd pursed his lips a little, "With us creatures who were once betrayed of human life..." He trailed off as he'd smiled a small smile. He looked thoughtful. "It's hard to trust one another even when in a coven." It was like he was speaking to himself, vaguely recalling being left behind like that by his own 'brother'. War isn't the answer to everything, that much Alair believed.

He'd only snapped out of it when he'd felt the warmth of the other's hand. He may not have the same warmth as the wolf's but he was just glad to be on the receiving end. "Do you want to take the shoes off?" he asked, smiling softly, "The festival shouldn't be until later yet. Do you want to go when it starts or halfway to when it's started?"

"Trust is tricky," agreed Shiro. When one was an alpha that had to constantly be looking over their shoulder at the younger males of the pack aware that they could be attacked without warning. Those wolves that did attack like that were looked down upon by the rest of the pack and often did not make it into the alpha position even if they took the alpha down.

"Yes, take them off," said Shiro with a bit of a laugh, he really didn't care to have them on his feet. "Should go a little after it starts."

"It seemed I've learned that all too late," he told Shiro before he'd chuckled - not because it was funny, but because of disappointment. He led Shiro to the bed again and motioned for him to sit down so he could take off the shoes from the other. "You could stay in your wolf form, too," he told him, smiling slightly, "I'll try and ask questions with a 'yes' or a 'no'."

Setting the shoes aside, he got back up to his feet to seat himself beside Shiro and let out a quiet sigh. The events that transpired not very long ago came to him again and he couldn't help but smile bitterly. "It seems... another war will be started by my kin to right what has been wrong by the other coven."
