Serena blinked at Cormac "um... ok. Better than sittin' around all day" she said with a shrug. "What kind of thing goes on at a... uh... Redskin tribe?" she asked, wondering why this guy walked out of an old western movie, yet there were computers.

Cormac thinks. "I really dunno too much, but Sequoia is the tribe's dancer so I think we could get him to dance...after he stops being shy, that is." He shrugs, standing up. "Also, don't be scared of Hilan. He's a big puss." He chuckles, heading for the door.

Serena rolled her eyes and followed Cormac "I'm not afraid of anyone, not from this world and not from my own. Why would I be afraid of this 'Hilan?'" she asked. That's a lie and you know it. You ran away because you were afraid of your father... he's the only one you've ever been afraid of, a voice told her. "Great, now I'm hearing voices in my head" she muttered to herself, forgetting the fact that Cormac could probably hear every word she spoke.

Cormac chuckles. "I see, but he comes off a bit...scary. He tried to stab me once..." He shakes his head. "Oh well." He heads back to his wagon, after whistling for one of his horses, praying it's not Sepia.

Serena rolled her eyes "I can take care of myself" she argued. I've been taking care of myself for as long as I can remember. An abusive alcoholic father and a step-mother who doesn't care what I do so long as I don't break one of her nails or whatever... I don't need anyone. I can take care of myself, Serena thought to herself as she contemplated her life before she ran away.

He rolls his eyes as Sepia comes over. "Kay. Let's see if I can do this without being mauled." He quickly gets her hooked up and backs away. He sighs. "I must love pain or something." He hops on the wagon and waits for her.

Serena rolled her eyes and looked at Sepia and then Cormac "why does that horse hate you so much?" she asked as she climbed into the seat next to Cormac. She settled down and looked at him "is it because you're a shapeshifter/werewolf person... thing... or something?" she asked.

Cormac chuckles. "That may be part of it. But she's ornery." He shakes his head. He tugs on the reins and heads to the tribe, humming to himself. Once there, he hops off the wagon. "Quoia! Hilan! I need you." A small boy that looks like: scuttles over and tilts his head at Cormac. "...Yes...?" His voice is low and almost whisper quiet.

Serena stared at the boy. She blinked a few times and then tore her eyes away, remembering that it was rude to stare. It wasn't so much that the boy looked familiar, or weird, or whatever, but it was more like Serena thought his timid nature was strange. She expected everyone to be outgoing, none timid. Well, that just proves how much she knew.

Cormac heads over and ruffles the boy's hair. "Hey, hun." Sequoia stares at Serena. "...She's different..." He chews his lip, staring at the ground after a moment. Cormac nods. "Yup, but she's harmless."

Serena's temper flared up "harmless?! I'll show you harmless! How about I take you down right now, then we'll see who's harmless! st because I'm a girl doesn't mean I can't whoop your butt up one way and down the other!" she argued. I can take care of myself! werewolf or not, I can cause plenty of harm when I want to, she thought.

Cormac grins at her. "You're not a shapeshifter, so you're not going to take a chunk out of his arm. So relax, princess." He glances at Sequoia. "Where's your 'leader'? I need supplies...again." At the mention of someone taking a chunk out of his arm, Sequoia shudders. He then points to a tent like building. "...In there..."

Serena growled and was somehat poised to attack "you know, you're really starting to tick me off. Why don't you just show me the fastest way home so I can leave. I don't care if you are safer than home, I am not going to it around and endure this. You always kno what to say to tick me off beyond reason" she growled.

Cormac sighs, looking tired. "Here. You talk to her, Quoi. I need to get hose supplies." He heads to the tent quickly. Sequoia watches him before turning back to Serena. "...He's not a bad person...he just doesn't take much seriously... But he is right, it's safer for you to be with a shifter than alone... There's another shifter that won't hesitate to kill you..." He rolls up his sleeve and holds up his arm, which is covered in what looks like claw marks. "She did that to me...for no reason... It's not like I'm dangerous...I don't even know my shifted form..." He scratches his head, rolling his sleeve down as he does.

Serena stubbornly crossed her arms "then let her come What do I have going for me anyway? What's so great about life right now that I should keep living. True, I ran away from home, but at least there, I knew where I was. Here, I have no idea where I am. All I have is this... thing being a thorn in my side" she argued.

"There has to be a reason you're here...," Sequoia argues calmly. He rubs his arm absently. "And you shouldn't say that. She's a horrible woman...And her killing someone Cormac's come in contact with will start a war..."

Serena rolled her eyes "why should I care? This isn't my home, it never was, it doesn't even attempt to resemble a home. Why should I care if a war starts? Besides, I'll be dead by then. All I know is that I was running away from anyone who would follow me. I tripped and ended up here. That's it" she shot back.

Cormac comes back. "War? Ang better not start a damned war, I'll beat her." He frowns, looking annoyed now. Sequoia shakes his head. "I was explaining what might happen if she doesn't stay with someone." "If I had less of a conscience, I'd say let her go find out herself." He sighs. "But I'm not that cruel."

Serena's fae twisted into one of annoyance "what if I just run away from you? I've done it before, I can do it again. What are yu going to doif I do that? Chase me down simply because I've come into contact with you, therefore it's dangerous and could start a war if I happen to run into her? What if I go looking for her?" she demaded to know.

"She'd kill you. And slowly." He says this bluntly. "She's the epitome of her shifted form." He shakes his head. "The only reason I even go near that area is to see her second in command. Cute kid."

"Fine, let her kill me. Let me die a slow and painful death! It'd be better than living with a freak in a place tat doesn't even attempt to resemble home" Serena shot back, thoroughly annoyed at Cormac.

Cormac stares. "All right. If that's what you want, let's go." He glances at Seqoiua. "Go tell Hilan. And if I'm not back by nightfall go find Kota. Understood?" Sequoia nods, and scurried to the tent. Cormac heads to the wagon, looking thoroughly peeved.

"Don't end your life on my account" Serena muttered as she followed him to the wagon. By the time she got there, her anger had evaporated. "Look... I just... I'm having a hard time adjusting to this place. That said, I tend to argue with everyone I talk to, to give me a sense of security, no matter how small it is. I undrstand, this person is very dangerous and I would do good to stay away from her. I don't want to be around her, I don't want to get killed, even if I am in a strange place. I guess... it's just harder to be a runaway in a faraway land then in your hometown" She said softly, yet loud enough that she knew he could hear her.

Cormac nods. "I still think you should meet her though, so you know what she's like. My explanations aren't perfect. And I won't get killed, as long as she doesn't touch me I won't touch her. Simple." He sighs. "I understand you're having trouble, which is why I haven't just left you somewhere." He tugs on the reins, making Sepia snap at him.

Serea turned away from him and curled up ino a ball. Why are you doing all of this for me? What am I to you? You could've left left me where you found me... why didn't you?" she asked.
