Nicky nodded rapidly and ran off to go get their mother and the keys to the car. Ora let out another soft moan and slowly pulled her hands up to rub her eyes and face a bit before looking at the canteen and the man holding it. Hesitantly she reached up her hand slightly and took the water from the man taking a long drink slowly and handing it back to him. She opened her mouth to speak looking rather bored then closed it a minute later when all that came out was a bit of a strangled cough. "Tony! Ow sweety are you okay?" Tony's mother asked worriedly as she came up to him and gave him a small squeeze before pulling away and looking at the girl he had saved. Ora looked up at the woman quietly and opened her mouth again to speak but again the only thing that came out was a weak and cracking cough. "She might just be dehydrated..." Tony's mother said quietly to Tony and Ora sighed looking off to the side staring out the mouth of the open cave.
(Yeah until the 17.... Well more then likely until then I will be on most of the day and part of the night... after the 17 I will be gone from 6 or 7 in the morn to... about 3 in the afternoon unless I have homework.... though on Fridays and Saturdays I will be on at the times that I am now ^^ )

((Ah school starting back up? And on that note Im probably going to be on and off for the next month and a half, vacations and stuf, but mostly because i have six required reading books, three of which being at least five-hundred pages, and im only halfway through the first one XD ))

Tony nearly jumped a foot in the air when he saw the girl actually move and take the canteen from him. For a moment he couldn't even move, he just stared blankly at the girl, for he had thought that she was nearly dead just a moment ago. He was overjoyed at the sight, but her sudden cough startled him enough to silence her.
"Miss, dont try to talk, just rest for a minuet or so. Ill give you more water in a little bit, i just dont want you to chug it and then throw up or something," He said with a nervous smile as his mother came hurriedly.
"Yea mom im fine," He said with a typical teenage groan at his mothers little hug, but he secretly enjoyed it. Looking down at the girl again, "Yea...she looks...a little better than she did before, and shes conscious again. I still think we should be safe about it and call someone who actually knows what their doing. I mean, she was probably out there for a while."
Tony sighed and leaned down to the girl then, close to her but not uncomfortably so, and asked in a rather soothing tone, "Miss? Do you think you need to go to the hospital? Are you dizzy or anything?"

Ora frond and groaned softly shaking her head as she looked at Tony not liking anyone being even a little close to her in the least. She thought for a moment then put her hand on the ground and started tapping it lightly using mores code to speak. "They won't accept me..." she tapped out and hoped they knew what she was doing.

Tony looked at the girl curiously for a long moment and watched, completely clueless to what she was doing, as she tapped out her words on the dirt floor. He vaguely recognized that she was trying to talk to him, but the language was alien to him so its meaning flew over his head completely. The shake of her head conveyed a more readable message though.
"Alright, no hospital then i guess..." He said with a sigh an offered the canteen again to her.

Tony's mother shook her head as she watched the girl and looked at Tony "She was using mores code... she said the hospital wouldn't accept her if we take her there... Why?" the woman said and asked the last part to Ora who had gratefully taken the canteen and was drinking a little then handed it back to Tony feeling a bit better now. She looked up at Tony's mother and shook her head looking a tiny bit worried and even a bit scared at what they would think if she told them.

Tony stared at his mother for a moment dumbly.
"Oooh!" He finally said as it seemed to sink it, "Wow, people still...ya know...use that?"
He let out a little nervous laugh before shutting himself up with mild embarrassment at his words and returned his gaze to the girl worriedly. Tony took the canteen back with a bit of hesitation and wondered how she didnt drain the thing out of thirst, as he was barely able to contain himself at the first sight of water, and looked at her curiously.
"We really should take you..." He said with an assertive tone, "I mean were responsible for you at this point, if were not taking you, you should at least tell us why."
"Whys she hiding from us?...Is she a runaway?" He thought to himself suspiciously.

Ora shook her head again and opened her mouth to speak this time then closed it and cleared her throat before finally speaking. "You... You'd kill me..." she said looking away from the two off out of the cave to the setting sun. Tony's mother looked at the girl worriedly then back down at Tony wondering who this girl could have been and why they might kill her when they learned about her.

Tony was genuinely shocked at her words and was unable to recover for a moment or two. But after he gave himself a moment to absorb what she had said he couldnt help but let out a few humorous chuckles. Trying to hold back his amusement at her words, he reached over and placed a hand on her shoulder, still not really catching on that that made her uncomfortable, and looked at her with compassion in his azure eyes.
"Miss, I just dragged you out of the desert and nearly killed myself in the process. Well...sort of. But,trust me, I really doubt that there's anything you can say to us that will make us even think about hurting you," He said with a grin.

Ora groaned softly and gently pushed his hand off her shoulder not truly liking being touched. "Fine... I... I'm a thief... and a pretty darn good one... I have one heck of a bounty on my head... and I was running from the merchants looking for a safe place to hide... I have a house out here... I was going there to hide... and I forgot water..." she said somewhat scratchy not looking at the two wondering what their reactions would be though not wanting to see them truly.

"Huh," He said not even taking a moment to think it over, "Well, that's not exactly what I expected."
He thought for a moment as he sat there, and, for a moment, mused over the irony that he had originally intended to steal from her when he first saw her, and wondered what they should do with her. Turning to face his mother for guidance he thought for a moment that they should hand her over to the police.
"What did you steal exactly?" He asked.

"You seriously want me to list everything I've stolen?..." Ora couldn't help but laugh slightly at the thought. Tony's mother looked down at him worriedly and shook her head. "What do you think we should do?..." she said softly and looked back at Ora who's laugh had been more nervous then anything else.

"No, thats not what i-" He began but quickly gave up, letting out a disgruntled growl, he just couldn't win, "Never mind..."
With a little huff he lifted himself from the floor, swaying a little bit from dehydration, and looked down at the girl with a calculating expression.
"Well," he began, addressing his mother, "If they wont accept her at the hospital he wont take her there. But, we should probably call the police. She is a thief after all" He said spitefully.
"You'll do no such thing," Came his fathers voice in a growl from behind him. His father, James, was standing at the mouth of the cave looking rather tired and pissed off to say the least. It was easy to see the family resemblance between him and the boy, though his father was much taller, and not to mention stronger, and his hair was a deep brown, almost black, unlike his sons red and blond locks.
"Oh...hey dad," Tony said casually to his father, despite his aggressive stance, "Im guessing you didnt get anything ether?"
"No, but thats besides the point, your not calling the cops on her," He said with a growl.
"Why not?" Tony asked, "I mean she doesn't want to go to the hospital, and she stole stuf then..."
"One," He said angrily, "She knows were we live"
"Ah," He said getting it.
"And im guessing shes not above blabbing without some form of compensation, being a thief and all," He said with a sigh and observed the girl more closely.
"Where do you live exactly?" James asked, dead serious.

"I'm not so low as to expose people and where they are... I... I don't truly live anywhere... I live where I can... there's a vacant house about... twenty miles away from where he found me... I was trying to get there where I could be safe though I couldn't make it..." Ora murmured softly as she looked up at the man that walked in and felt both relieved and scared at his words... what would they do to her? She was a thief yes though she wouldn't hurt anyone unless they either hurt her first or she had a very good reason for hurting them.

"Yet your low enough to steal from our town," James said in a rather cold, disbelieving tone. Tony looked at his father rather angrily for a moment.
"Dad, you dont know her, she could be a modern day Robin Hood for all you know," He said with a grin.
"I doubt that," James grumbled.
"You know..." Tony said, trying to ignore his father at this point, "I know where the old house is. Ill drive you there if you want...but you should stay here for a while, just to make sure...you know, what your ok."

"Not just your town... I don't play favorites..." Ora huffed softly then looked at Tony and blinked for a moment then slowly nodded softly to his offer. She then looked back to James somewhat meekly. "I only steel to survive... Nothing more... The only reason why I have the bounty on my head is because someone thought I stole this necklace... and I didn't..." she said softly pointing to a small red diamond on a gold thin chain that she was wearing.

"Thats not my point" James grumbled at first but continued to listen.
After listening to her for a few beats, he seemed to soften a bit at her words, though he still held his rather intimidating stance in the mouth of the cave. He sighed a bit and let his arms fall from his chest lazily.
"I can understand stealing for survival," He said, "To tell you the truth ive actually heard a bit about you, not much but enough to be a little suspicious. It all just rumors and such floating around town and what not. But...that little thing" He said, pointing to the necklace, "Is what got a bounty on you? It doesnt look like its worth the trouble. But, then again, if you didnt steal it, how did you get it?"

"My... My mother gave it to me before she passed on when I was... I believe I was only like... five? I'm not sure but when I was about ten... someone accused me of stealing the necklace... It's very valuable and it has a duplicate that has rare powers... though that's not this one." Ora said softly and her fingers played with the gold string lightly as she looked up at James everything about her said she wasn't lying.
(?... What's that?... lol well to me this kinda reminds me a bit of The Host XD though wanderer's host was a thief and she wasn't....)

"Ten?" Toby blurted out in disbelief, "Youve been running since you were ten!? Thats insane, who would put a price on a kids head like that?"
"Well, if it had magical properties," His father pointed out.
"How does that make it any less horrible!?" He squealed.
"It doesnt, i was just pointing the fact out..." James said with a shrug.
"Crazy...stupid humans..." He huffed.
"Well, i can honestly say that I believe your story, about the necklace at very least," James said with a sigh and let himself drop his guard a bit, "You can stay untill your well enough for the trip to your duelings"
"Great," Tony said in a fairly chipper tone, "By the way, Im Tony, this is my dad and my mom. Whats your name street mouse?" He said with a chuckle as he recalled the existence of the movie Aladdin from his childhood with some amusement.

"Eh it was someone who didn't pertqularly like my family..." Ora sighed and looked at Tony smiling some "My name's Ora Thief... Litteraly..." Ora chuckled at her name knowing it seemed like quite a bit of irony that she is what her last name says. She was happy that they said they wouldn't hurt her or turn her in and let her own gaurd drop. She let out a small yawn and covered her mouth lightly as she did so feeling whiped after the type of day she had had.

"That...really doesnt make it any less...uh...evil might be the word. I dont know, but its still messed up," Tony rambled, rubbing the back of his neck nervously at his loss of words. James just sighed, not really caring about the girls name as he intended never to see her again after she left, and retreated deeper into the cave, leaving the two with some privacy.
"Thief? Really? Hah, the irony," Tony laughed at the mention of her last name, "Well, your free to stay a while and rest if you like. But if my dad comes around again just pretend to be sick," he chuckled a bit, "I think hes kind of anxious to get you out of here even if he did give you the ok to rest here a bit. Im guessing you weren't too delirious out in the desert to pick up why," another, more nervous, chuckle, "And if you want to lay down we have a mattress you can use"

(XD I am I love the concept though I was only borrowing the book and had to give it back to the teacher before the end of the year... and I was falling a little behind so... in school that is...)

"One of the reasons I said I wouldn't expose you guys was because you were shifters... I am too... If I said anything about you guys then I might as well go ahead and tell the cops or whoever that I'm one too... I wouldn't do that..." Ora said softly and yawned again some. She shook her head with a small smile as she pulled her legs up and wrapped her arms around them then leaned her head on her arms that were on her knees now.

Tony stared at her again for a moment.
"Wait...you are? YOU ARE!? Seriously!?" He exclaimed, suddenly exploding with shock and excitement, "Holy shit you are! I mean...Really? Ive never met a shifter outside of my family before! I mean obviously there must be others but you know ive never even really left the STATE before so i mean how would i know? So where are you from? Do you turn into a wolf or are you a different animal shifter? Ive heard that there are others but its mostly rumors you know, and ive never met anyone outside my family, so again how would i know!? Haha! Oh man! This is so cool!"

Ora smirked and nodded then concentrated a little and pulled out a pair of purple wolf ears and a good sized poofy wolf tail that was wagging slightly. "Does this answer your question?" she smirked slightly and her tail wagged slowly behind her.
