Oh he wanted to tell her, no everything will be okay, but he couldn't just let this one slide. "Beverly, you started a fight at school. I can't let it go unpunished. Had you not punched her, it would be different, but you did fight back. I know it's not fair, but when it comes to fights, I have to follow the rules. You will apologize to Vanessa and you will not fight her again. If she threatens you or your mother again, please text me and I will address her myself. I don't care if my record gets tainted, but you're too young to have a record. Now please, no more fights."

Holding her in his arms was refreshing for a change. Okay, so she wasn't some smoking hot twenty-seven year old, but she was a sweet, smart, and charming young woman. He was responsible for her even though he didn't always act like it. Petting her hair, he managed to get in, "Your mother wasn't a ho. She was doing the best she could to provide for you. Never let anyone diss your mother again. If they do, simply just ignore them. No matter what anyone says, remember names can never hurt you or her." Rubbing his eyes, he exhaled. "I will still get your that car, but not because of your grades. As far as I'm concerned you don't desire it. But I'm worried that Van-ass-a will come after you again and if I'm on a case, I usually can't just stop pointing my gun at some thug. So after you clean up and e-mail all your teachers for your assignments, I'll take you out to get a car. If we find one, we can practice in it."

His golden-brown hair fell to the side as he ran his hand through it. "Oh, and no more crocodile tears. They're killing me here." Grinning, he ruffled her locks and stood up to put his belt on. "Hop to it girlfriend. We ain't got all day ya know!"

Chanelle frowned and stood. She didn't want to hear this. As always Vanessa got away with random crap, and even her step father didn't understand. "Right I forgot everything is easy for you because you always have a gun with you, plus you're completely hot..." she paused and blushed, shaking her head. "Forget it... Never mind. I'm going to go do my homework and lock myself in my room." she mumbled angrily and stamped off to her room, slamming the door behind her and than throwing herself onto her bed.

She pulled out a old picture of her, her mother, and real father and looked at it while she began to cry again. Everything was always better when they were together as a family, but now both of her parents were gone, and she was stuck with Levi, who could possibly never even match her real father's sweet, understanding personality. He never yelled or lectured her, but he much rather ust listened and comforted her, most of the time giving her on of his smiles and saying 'It's ok, Bev-bear, let's go get some ice cream and put a pin in it shall we?' and than they'd enjoy the rest of the day together, going to the park, swimming, playing games together...

She really missed him, and now that he as completely off the maps since him and her mother broke up, everything went down hill, her mother got an abusive ex, than ended up dying, she was stuck with a federal agent that really, she had no problem with, except the fact that he'd never, not for a billion years, ever be able to take away the pain of losing everything she loved, and than, eventually she had everything she worked for taken away. She may as well just forget college, a car a job... Maybe she was a ho... And maybe that's all she'd ever be.

She rolled onto her side, using the remote to turn on the stereo and blasting god charlotte's song 'I don;t wanna be in love' and 'broken heart's parade', putting them both on repeat and crying herself to sleep.

Taking a step back, Levin looked down the hall at her closed door. "Hot?" He took a look in the hallway mirror and couldn't quiet figure out why a seventeen year old would call a thirty-two year old hot. "Weird." Shrugging, he pulled out the key that went to her door and slowly clicked it open.

The music was a tad loud, so he turned it down to a reasonable level. Seeing her asleep there, Levin couldn't help but smile. Creeping over to her, he wormed his way onto her bed without waking her. Just sitting there, he moved her into his arms and stroked her face. So he wasn't be the typical orthodox fatherly figure, but Levin was doing his best to comfort the girl. Being around women his entire life, he knew how to calm them and get them to relax. Stopping their tears was easy, or at least he thought it was. It usually involved a nice long kiss, but he wasn't just about to make out with his step-daughter. That would be weird, he thought.

Still, Levin Wakefield remained beside her. Even though she was asleep, he spoke softly to her. "You know, life wasn't always easy for me. Before joining the agency, and doing all that jazz, I was a struggling high schooler. My grades sucked. I was always getting into fights. Hell, I was even threatened by the cops. If I didn't straighten up, I was going to be locked away. I was a real handle. I was tearing up the town, throwing fits. I was... I was a bad boy. The girls loved me, but their was one woman that didn't. Your mother. God, she hated me. Yeah, I bet you didn't know this, but we went to high school together. Oh god, she hated me. I was suck a terrible jerk. When she finally told me that I could have the perfect life and that I was ruining it, I turned things around. I joined chess club, ROTC, cross country, swimming, and a volunteer club. I said that this was all going to be my way of saying I was sorry for being such a pain in the ass."

Pausing for a second, he continued. "At some point, this recruiter saw what I was doing and really admired my spunk, style, and swagger. He offered to change my life and help erase that bad boy streak that could awaken at any moment if the mood was right. I joined up and did everything he said. Look at me now. I'm making a nice hefty six-digit paycheck, I have a sexy car, the perfect house, and yet... I'm still lacking the one thing I've always lacked. Family. I haven't a girlfriend. I haven't a son or a daughter. I have no one. I'm just... Levin R. Wakefield the permanent bachelor. I can get a million one night stands, but I'm sick of them. I want something real, but one look at me, and no one wants me. It's... it's frustrating."

His hand weaved through her hair. "You're lucky. You're smart, beautiful, funny, just all around a good girl. Men will line up for you. I get to be the jerk and swing a bat at those I don't like, but I'm not doing it to hurt you. I just don't want you to get hurt by them. I'd rather you hate me than land with some punk-ass thug." Exhaling, Levin just stared up at the ceiling. "I'm envious of you. You have the perfect life. Heh, you're probably the perfect woman. Whoever gets you, they will be one damn lucky guy."

Chanelle had woken up when he came in but pretended to be asleep, listening to his words silently before opening her eyes when her finished and smiled. "Do you really think so?" she asked him and frowned. "Mom married Dezmond and cheated on him.... Three times." She said. She didn't wanted to ruin his moment but it was true and she smiled, sitting up and hugging him. "You're the best." she told him.

She thought about the few things he said. Maybe she should talk to her therapist again... Wait.. Was she even taking her pills lately?

Reluctantly pulling away she went over to her vanity set and looked in one of the drawers and pulled out and empty pill bottle and frowned. "Empty..." she mumbled and went back and sat own. "I need to get a refill on my pills... I'm supposed to keep the bottle full, but, I ran out and haven't been taking them for possibly a month... Or two... Maybe three..." she said and paused, her eyes going up to the ceiling as she thought. "Anyways, it'd also be smart if I called my therapist before we left today... So I can have her get them refilled." she said and smiled at Levi, unable to keep herself from tousling his hair, simply because she wanted to.

"Also, you could possibly still find yourself a girl friend... Just rent a less... fancy car. Cars maybe 'chick magnets' but your chick magnets are what bring in the hookers and hos. Literally." She told him and sighed.

"And, what was with the weird stuff you did this morning an the passing out? Does i happen often because if it does i personally recommend my therapist." she told him, scolding him now.

Just when he thought opening up was okay, he found out she was really listening the whole time. Now I would be lying if I didn't say he didn't expect it, but Levin pegged her to be the kind of girl that would have never brought it up. Ever. Although, it was nice for a change to have someone care like that. The idea of a therapist didn't thrill him though.

"Love is weird like that. I'm sure your mother had a reason to cheat. If I had to guess, I'm sure there was an underlying reason you don't know about. Perhaps she was looking for a better man for you? I really don't know, but let's just assume it was for the best, for you." He stood up and took a few steps toward her before her rested his hand on her hair. Eying her hairbrush, he picked it up and began to gently run it through her hair. "My best friend in high school was a gay hair saloon owner. He taught me the... 'art of hair care.' I thought it was a bunch of BS, but it has proven to be helpful. I can French Braid hair. Impressive, I know." Pulling pieces here and there, and then adding some pins and ribbons, he pointed at her reflection in the mirror. "See, I can make hair look pretty too." Ruffling up his own hair, he made it look like a wild mess. "Oh yeah, now I'm pimpin'."

Laughing, he left the room, but then stepped backward back into it. "I can drive. Why don't you give her a call and we can swing by and then go find me a new car. And don't worry about me. I just don't always hold my liquor as good as I used to. Heh, I quit drinking for about seven years and ever since then, if I just have a glass, I'm a drunken fool." Using his hands, he carefully cleaned up his wild hairdo before leaving the room. It was still a bit odd for him, but when he wasn't working, he saw no reason to spike it. "Let's go princess, we don't have all year!" Levin tossed his car keys at her. "You're driving because I'm lazy."

"I was six..." she said, looking at her reflection and smiling than went into her closet to put on a normal pair of hip hugger shorts and a t-shirt than putting on some black boots and sighed when he threw the keys at her. When really didn't want to drive right now. "I'm coming Brad Pitt." she said and smiled, shaking her head and walking down the stairs, wallet in her hand.

She went to the living room where she'd left her phone and called her therapist, telling her about the fight and the fact that she needed more pills and they scheduled an appointment sometime the next day than she hung up and walked outside. "She's calling in my meds and said they'll probably be ready in a hour or so... And tomorrow I have an appointment with her." she said and sighed, going to the car and getting into the driver's side.

She tossed her wallet towards the passenger's side and put the keys in the ignition and easily started to the car, putting it in gear than pulling out onto the road, driving smoothly out of their neighborhood towards the area where their destination was, rarely having any mistakes in her driving.

"Brad Pitt? Wow. That's a compliment. I feel flattered. Now I just need my Angelina... or wait, do I want a Jennifer? Maybe I'll just say hell to them both and have myself a Chanelle." Poking his tongue out at her, he was thankful he didn't have to tell her much. Every now and then he commented on her driving, mostly good things, but he did point out a few little tricks of the trade he learned.

When they were at the car dealership, Levin nearly broke into tears. "My baby, I'll call you!" Clinging to his car, the salesman literally had to drag him off his car. "Anyways," Levin said collecting himself, "I'm here to get myself a car. The princess gets to keep my sweet ride. I'm downgradi... OH MT GOD! Can I has!" Running over to a convertible mustang, Levin pressed his nose against the windows. "Oh, please, please, please!" Eyes wide and full of spunk, he then shook his head and cleared his throat. "Ummm, do you have anything less... awesome?"

After rejecting car after car, he finally found something worthy of his liking. It was a simple little vehicle, but it was heavy duty looking. It reminded him of those typical cars the characters on CSI rode around in. Convinced and scoring himself a great price slash, Levin paid the salesman a few hundred bucks to have someone drive his car home for him. "Many thanks," he said getting into his 'ex-car.'

"Okay, so I'm giving you my baby. If you get a scratch on it, I'm going to ground you for the rest of your life." Smiling, he tugged on one of her curls. "Let's go get that Rx and maybe we can grab a movie from that new movie selling store on the corner near the bank." Before she even turned the car on, Levin started making car noses. "Vrooooooooom! Vrooom, vrooooooooom, VAAARRROOOOOO..." he coughed. "Leave whenever you'd like" Levin Wakefield said with a sheepish smile on his face.

Chanelle arched and eyebrow at him and watched him go around and look at cars, thinking about how much f a kid he acted like at sometimes but kept it to herself, getting back into the car once he was ready to go and laughing a little, shaking her head at him. "You're crazy sometimes you know that?" she told him.

"And understood, although, since this is now my car, I get to listen to music and have it as loud as I want and you can;t comment. Ha, ha HA!" she told him with a grin, pulling out an aux cord and plugging her phone into the car and listening to her Favorite song and driving out of the car lot.

"And please, Dad... Try not to have a break down again, you really freaked my out this morning. And I was almost late for school." she told him.

His eyebrows furrowed some as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Waaaaa! I dun wanna! You can't make me! Waaaaaaa!" Laughing at his childish behavior, Levin soon found himself checking Chanelle out. Well, it wasn't 'checking her out' per say, but he was staring at her with his mouth ajar, again.

"Dad? I'm flattered, really, but please don't call me that. I'm Lev, Levi, or Levin. Dad's just... just weird sounding. If you really want, you can call me Levikins, but if you do that I'll have to call you Bevy-poo or Chanelley-welly. Or maybe even Chanykins. Oh, I like the sound of that one." He saw the look she was giving him. "What? I thought they were very cute sounding."

Reclining in the seat, he frowned. No longer paying any attention to the road, Chanelle's driving, the radio, or for that fact, anything. His mind was thinking about his car. He hated giving it up. To him, it was the only thing in his life that was stable and now he was just handing it over to some random chick he hardly knew. Figuring it would be best to bug her while driving, he couldn't help but let one question slip from his mouth. "So no boyfriends. Ever. What, do you not like any of them? Or have none of them floated your boat? I mean, how could someone not have asked you to prom? That is coming up soon... right? Oh god, I have to buy you a dress? How on earth do I go about doing that? And how will I watch you? I'll have to go undercover as a waitress. I mean waiter. Wow. I am still a man, right?" Looking at Chanelle, he realized he was getting a little inappropriate. "To answer my question, I am still a man. And a very sexy one at that. After all, you said I was like Brad Pitt. Only, I'm cool, younger, and hotter. ...right?"

"Oh god don't call me any of those names I'll just call you Levin...." she said and sighed, a person pulling out in front of her and making her have to hit her breaks. "GRR! That just pisses me off..." SHe said and easily built speed, racing around the car and grinned, wondering if she could give her "step-dad" a scare.

"And I just don't like any of them... I have a very bad history with boys... Not like that just like... One time I had an abusive step father, not you, the one before you, and than my real dad left when I was six... Umm... Nothing relatively bad has happened with you... Or, not too bad really. Just the dopey face plate of food happening this morning kind of threw me off... By the way, I'm not allowing you to drink anymore. And how to ix that issue with prom? Not going." she told him with a smirk.

[LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOO!]

"But Chany is so cute sounding." When she acted up over the car, Levin did absolutely nothing. "Listen princess, I've been shot at, pushed out of a moving car, had a bomb strapped to my chest, been buried alive, taken hostage, gagged and bound, and so many other things. A little road rage won't scare me, but I do recommend you not get pissed off so easily. A defensive driver is better than an offensive one. Always assume that someone is going to cut you off and make that turn that will cross in front of you. You're better off playing it safe than acting like you rule the road."

Levin let a cocky grin come on his face. "In my entire life, I've been in three accidents. I should add that all three were caused by someone else. Okay, so one of them involved me driving with a gun to my head, but yeah, I would say that one wasn't my fault, per say." Reaching over to tug on her hair again, he smiled. "I won't abuse you. It's not in my nature. I could never hurt a woman like that on purpose. Okay, so I'm a heart breaker, but that's different."

Exhaling, he looked out the window at at the sky. "You really should go to prom. I'd hate for you to miss out on it. It's an experience of a lifetime. I would like it if you went. If you need me to, I can try to get my younger cousin to go with you. He's... nineteen. Smart. Handsome. Although, I don't like this mouth. He's a bit rude too. Okay, no. You're not going with him." Thinking hard, the green-eyed male put on a large frown. "Yes mommy, no more alcohol for me. Jerk!" He leaned over and planted a wet kiss on her cheek when she pulled up next to the movie store and parked. "Can we buy a romantic movie? We can make out at the end of it like all the kids do." Completely joking, he popped out of the car and ran inside. "Hurry up slowpoke!"

"Ugh, kill joy." she said and giggled, freezing for a moment at the kiss and than the joke. "Yeahhhh-No..." she said and followed after him int the theater and laughed, jumping onto his back for a piggy back ride. "Ha ha." she said and smirked. Than again, this was how Chanelle acted with all her friends that were boys, always making them carry her, get her chocolate, sitting on their lap sometimes, it was just the way she was.

"No prom for me. I hate prom. It's a waste of my precious time that I could be using for studying so I can get my credits so I can be an early grad, or do you not want that?" she asked him, looking at the movies they had to chose from and sighing. Just about everything had something formal in it or there were too many scenes, such like that.

She turned to Levi for a moment and gave him the eyes. "Can I gt a cotton candy and pop corn and a soda, pweeeease?" she asked him.

With Chanelle on his back, he stomped around like he was a dinosaur. Thank god he looked about eighteen or people might have questioned him. Most just smiled and giggled at the 'cute couple.' Paying no attention to the sudden spotlight he created, Levin moved up to the ticket booth. "Two for..." his eyes scanned the sign which listed the movies and their times. It was roughly two o'clock, so their timing was flawless. The movies would be starting at 2:15 so they had a few minutes to get food, drinks, and of course, hunt down the perfect seat.

Shooting Chanelle a quick glance, he turned back toward the male behind the panel of glass. "One student and one adult ticket for... The Expendables. Thanks." Pushing a twenty dollar bill under the window, he got back the proper amount of change and passed it off to Chanelle. "You hold onto that. I'll get the treats." Walking over into the lengthy line, just one bat of his eyes and he was magically brought to the front (okay, so the server thought he was hot). Handing off the money and getting the goods, he smiled and walked over to Chanelle. "Act like my girlfriend," he mumbled to her. "So love, shall we pick a back row seat?" She heard the female stomp her foot and Levin grinned. "Ah, looking this hot should be a sin. I always get what I want."

His smile widened as he passed off the cotton candy and soda to Chanelle. He held onto the popcorn, and other array of candies he bought just for the hell of it. "It's under two hours, so what do you want to do when we're done?" Walking into the dark, his golden eyes were still able to make out Chanelle's outline. "Pick your seat. Sorry to burst any bubbles, but you will be sitting with me. And I don't do up front."

It was odd how few people actually knew him. Yeah, they saw him around, but his name and age weren't really known. Actually, very few people knew he was Chanelle's step-father. Ah, the curse of being young looking and cute.

Chanelle smiled and took the money, pocketing it and than taking her soda and cotton candy and smiled. "You're absolutely insane..." she said, putting a piece on her tongue and letting it melt and smiled, sitting in the back row, rolling her eyes at the 'girlfriend' thing and smiling at him. "I hate front rows unless it's a concert or something like that, but movies, I always have to have my back row seat." she told him and smiled.

After the movie she sighed and looked at Levin with an arched eyebrow, not even half way done with her cotton candy, she had watched the movie closely with a unsatisfied gaze. "Tomorrow, I get to pick the movie. And I want to g window shopping." She said with a smile, getting up and walking out of the theater.

Returning to the car she set the soda in the cup holder and waited for him to get in before tossing her cotton candy in his lap and than started the engine again, turning on music and listening to it while driving towards the mall.

Staring at her, Levin shook his head. "Fine. You can pick. I was going to do a romance movie, but I figured you'd find it distasteful. I guess you don't like action either. Who would have guessed. What movies do you like? Name some? I'll rate 'm."

Rather than listening to what Chanelle was playing, Levin went right ahead and changed stations himself. When he stopped hitting buttons because of the look he was getting, Kesha's latest song was on. Grinning, Levin began to sing along with the radio.

Flashing Chanelle a cheesy grin, the male shifted weight some. "But window shopping sounds fun. What are we 'shopping' for? Prom dressing?" Levin was a persistent guy. He wasn't about to just let his princess not go to prom. 'Hell, I'd go with you, but I think that might be weird. I mean, step-father dating his step-daughter. Hmmm, I can see the headlines. Levin Wakefield Spends the Night Getting Dirty With His Step-Daughter. It has a nice sound to it. Not." From time to time, he picked at the cotton candy. While he was doing that, he sent little shifty glanced at the female driving his car.

"Ew. I hate this song..." she mumbled and turned it to a new age based station and listened to softer, mind calming music. "No... Actually, I'm not going to prom because I'm dropping out, And than I'm going to get my GED. I can't take Vanessa's bull shit anymore, and if I go to prom, well, she always makes sure she's queen, every year, somehow, so it wouldn't be worth going to anyways, nothing eventful will happen, and so I just don't want to go. Plus Vanessa will be out for serious revenge."She said.

She made a few turns, taking a shortcut around the back of a few buildings than pulled into the parking lot in the mall and cut the engine, unbuckling and taking out the keys, opening the door and getting out. "And Levin, give up, I'm going to e just as persistent as you are about this whole prom issue, you're just wasting your time." she told him and took a long sip of her soda.

She finished it and than walked into the mall, throwing it in the garbage can on the way in and she headed towards romance and the stone and she went over to the sand table that they had the crab thins in and picked one up, setting it on the pal of her hand and watching as it came out with its tiny pintchers and beady black eyes and smirked, letting it pinch her finger, though it tickled but didn't hurt.

She than put it back where it belonged and walked around the store, looking at all the exotic clothing, belly dancing outfits, drums, bongos, the scarves and wooden carved animals and the weird wooden faces all of these things seemed to interest her in a way, she she tended to take five minutes looking at each thing.

"What? You hate Ke$ha? Girl, you're insane. She's hot. Ha ha. I guess I'm more modern than you. And hey!" Getting out of the car, he ran after her. "Thanks for waiting. Not. Oh, he's cute." Looking at all the items in the store, he scooped up a little crab. It was the smallest of the lot and it seemed to be a loner too. Frowning, he looked over at Chanelle who was too busy checking out the rest of the store.

"How much for this little guy?" His credit card came out as he looked at the store owner. "This one is a she. And she's only thirty dollars. No one wants her." A large grin came on his face. "Well I want her." Signing the receipt, he took his newest pet and examined her. "I shall call you Lucky." Walking over to Chanelle, he waved the little cage in front of her face. "Say hello to the newest member of the family. Her name is Lucky."

Putting an arm around her, Levin gave Chanelle a warm embrace. "Don't let Vanessa run and ruin your life. You're going to stay in school. No GED for you. I'd rather have you miss prom than be a high school drop out. What does this Vanessa look like anyways? I'm sure you're ten time hotter than her. And, you know how it goes. You just have to show up with a hotter date than her. She'll leave you alone when you walk in with the hottest kid in school. Maybe I can call Brad Pitt for you." Winking, he kissed Chanelle on the forehead.

"Is there anything you'd like? Seeing as I bored you at the movies, I'll make it up to you with something. Hell, I'll even buy your prom dress. I'm telling you, I have a friend that owes me. If you want Brad Pitt, I bet I can get Brad Pitt for you. I will spend every penny for you. You're my everything right now. My first, last, and only priority." The words rolling off his tongue were sincere and filled with much passion. A little too much passion. Noticing it, Levin shook his head and let out a playful laugh. "What?"

She smiled at the little crab. "She's cute." she said and smiled. "You have to get shells in several sizes so she can change them as she grows." Chanelle told him and laughed a little. "Vanessa is equally beautiful if not ten time more than me. And seriously, she called me a ho? Look at what she's wearing in one of her Facebook pictures " She said and held up a belly dancer outfit that was a white color with gold floral designs in front of her and looked at Levin.

"What do you think, too bright?" She asked looking at her reflection with a thoughtful expression. "I never thought gold looked good on me... But what do you think? Does it make me look pale?" She asked him and laughed about the Brad Pitt thing. "Oh sure. Angelina would just be ecstatic once sh heard he husband was going to prom with a seventeen year old." she said, rolling her eyes. "And no prom, no prom. Not going, never going o go prom is for preps and wanna-bes." She said and looked at another outfit but this one was a muddy light green color and had sequence embroidery on it. "This one I have to get." she said and smiled. "I just don't fit in with that crowd, ok?"

She walked towards the checkout but than paused and went back to get some matching shoes and smirked. "Time to go t another store." she said.

Jawing dropping, he had to focus to close it. "How old is she and can I date her?" Laughing, he looked at the outfit she was holding before her. "I agree, you look like Bella in that outfit. Or maybe Edward. Ha ha. But, oh, I do like that one." Following her to the checkout, he picked up more shells and also bought her outfit and the shoes she pleaded for. Levin, being the gentleman, hung out her begs and followed her out and into another store.

There were some females in the store and their heads instantly shot toward him. Rolling his eyes and exhaling, Levin was really beginning to hate his looks. "When I get home, remind me to shave, beat myself, and start working on a beer gut. I'm sick of being looked at like I'm some poster. It's... depressing. Bringing up prom again, Levin needed to make sure he got int he final word. "Okay, so if you don't go to prom, I will take you out dancing. I'll hook you up with some cute kid? Would that be okay? I want you to have a somewhat enjoyable prom night. You can rub it in Vanessa's face. Show that bitch up. Tell her that all the cool kids get a private cruise date with a hottie of their picking."

Chanelle sighed at his comments about Vanessa. "gee, that's comforting. Go ahead go date her I don't give one." she said and let hm pay for the stuff, she had no complaints but then she smirked at the girls. "Oh you just don't know how to deal with them... Watch..." She said and hooked arms with Levin, giving them and icy glare, on of her blood chilling ones. "Back off bitches, he's mine." she said and they all shrank back and started muttering about how scary and mean she was.

She giggled. "See, simple... Just have to have me around more often." she said, not letting go of his arm, it'd keep the fangirls away, if not until they left it'd at least work for the time being.

She pulled him towards another store and sighed. "Fine, fine... I'll go to prom, and you could totally pass as Brad Pit, plus with her two black eyes, busted lip, and dislocated jaw, I don't think she'll be able to go there in fear of people laughing at her new makeover." she said and grinned. She definitely showed Vanessa who was boss. "Only catch is, you have to go with me. Parents go with their kids all the time anyways, the school actually encourages it so... things dont happen." she said and smiled.

An odd look followed her little comment about the parents going. "I highly doubt that. But, since you're trying so hard to get a date with me, I guess I can say yes. Now, we may as well go dress shopping. Now don't find something too pricey. If we're going to make this work, I'm going to have to pay cash... otherwise they will see my birth year on my license."

Stepping into a dress store, the two were greeted by an Asian man with a warm smile. "Hello, hello. Welcome, welcome. Come, come. I no bite. Girls. Girls! Come help these beautiful flower get a nice dress for prom. She looks cute, yes?" Scooting over to two thin Asian twins, he pointed to one and then the other. "These be my gorgeous daughters Ao and Kiki." Clapping his hands, he gave Levin a once over. "Girl, he is one fine man. A real keeper. Rich, handsome, and friendly. You bge a lucky girl."

Levin gave Chanelle the look. "He's gay?" he muttered lightly under his breath. "OH I hope he doesn't rape me." Watching as the two twins took her back into the dressing room, Levin couldn't help but smile. He recalled that Ao and Kiki were two of her classmates. Thankfully, they were smart and nice like his Chanelle. "So what colors are you picking Mister Ping?"

"Her eyes shine and shimmer a lovely blue and her locks of bronze will have to glow like never before. I am thinking teal, purple, green, and black. Those will be her best colors. If she no like the styles we have here, we can special order 'm from China. They will still be cheap. We are a nice family run business. We like to keep dates happy. Are you happy? You have a fine girl. Very pretty. It's a shame I'm gay, I might try to hook up with her. I joke, I joke!"

Ao approached Chanelle. "So can you believe that bitch Vanessa came here? Thank god she was too stuck up to buy a dress her. And her face, I died laughing. Whoever gave her them shiners is a friend in my book. I want to kiss the ground she walks on. My hero! Ha ha. So... you look oddly familiar. Hmmm, why is that sis?"

"You moron. It's Beverly. She's in our grade. Hello? You sit behind her in class. Sheesh, if you spent less time fixing your hair, you might remember names. Anyways, we're here to help fix any dress you like. Just pick the one you love, and we shall fix 'er right up!" Flicking her hair to the side, Kiki went to work taking measurements and sizes while her sister received a pile of dresses from their father. "Pa's the best when it comes to getting dresses. You will knock your handsome date out. When he sees you, he will get all hard and be like, 'ladies, we need to borrow this dressing room.'"

Ao flashed all the dresses before Chanelle. Teal, purple, green, and black. Those were the first four dresses she was to pick from and try on. "Girl, rock the dress. Knock him out. Show him why he should be thankful he's got you and not Bit-nessa!"

Chanelle smiled, looking at the dressed for a moment and already shook her head at the purple one, it was just a tad bit too loose, the blue too frilly, and the green one... It was just something she could see Vanessa wearing, not her. She looked at the black one and thought for a moment than smiled, taking that one and going to try it on than turned back to the girls. "He can;t see me in the dress yet, it's a surprise." She whispered to them and winked.

She went into the dressing room, putting on the dress and smiling, it hugged her hips and torso in just the right places to compliment her curves, and the bosom was a bit tight, but it did it's job. All in all the dress made her look like a stunner.

She smiled. She was definitely getting that one.

Making sure that Levin wasn;t looking yet she slipped out and went over to the girls. "What do you think?" she asked them.

"Damn girl! You're a really heart breaker. One look at you and he will forever wait on you hand and foot." Ao leaned up against the mirror. "You know, I think I have just the finishing touch. This tiara. We ordered it for whoever we thought Prom Queen would be. Not sure you'll make queen, but princess, we know it goes to you." Going onto her tip-toes, Ao placed the sparkling crown on her head. "Aww! You're too beautiful."

Her taller sister walked over and clasped her hands over her mouth. "You cannot show him. You have to wait until prom. I swear to god girl, Bitch-nessa will be scornful when you walk in with that. I heard a rumor that she's going in red. Red is a 'sex' color, but trust me, I think you'll get all the boys' attention in your sleek black dress." Her hands went to her hips. "Do you think he might buy you a necklace? If he did, it would look just perfect with this." Stepping back, Kiki leaned to give Levin a once over. "Pa will get him to buy you something. Trust us, you will make his night."

Ao was busy digging out a box of shoes while Kiki was commenting on how Chanelle was going to make all the guys get horny. Coming back with a box in her hand, she offered a pair of shoes to her. "These belonged to our mother. Our feet are too little, but they should fit you. She wore these when she won Miss Universe. I think they are the perfect touch to the dress."

Meanwhile, Levin was beginning to wonder if she had even found an outfit. Rather than sticking around, he slipped from the store to make a quick little purchase. He couldn't help but overhear the girls talk about a necklace. So, being the crafty guy he was, he made a stop at the jewelry's and found just the perfect one. Upon his return, he called out yawning, "Hey princess, you didn't run away on me, did you?"

Giggling, the Asian twins hatched a plan. "Buy the dress and show it to him at home. Give him a little preview before prom." Ao pitched in next. "So what if the kissing leads below the belt. He's a hottie. And, from the looks of it, he's a sensitive one too. You don't come across guys like that often. Most are jerks." Smiling, the took the tiara, shoes, and dress away. Packing it up, they brought it out front of Levin to pay for. "Ah, nope. No peaking! This is a surprise!" Smirking, Ao turned to wink at Chanelle.

"Here's our number should you have any questions. We'd love to help apply your make-up and do your hair. We were going over in a limo together. Maybe you two can join us?" Smiling, she pushed Chanelle into Levin's arms. "We will see you there!"

Chanelle smiled at the tiara ad shoes. "Thanks." she said, giving them both a hug than taking the dress off and handing it to them, putting on the clothing she had before and walked out the the cash register, a smile on her lips and she got the dress. "You get to carry everything else." she told him with a sweet smile.

She took their number and smiled waving and walking out with Levin. "ok, now that I brought the prom dress and agreed to walk and dance in those heels for a whole night, you have to take me for ice cream." She said with a smirk before pausing at a window and gasping, looking at a cute black and metallic colored outfit and than turned back to Levin. "I have to have it." She said and handed him her dress than ran into the store and within five minutes she was back out with extra bags.

"Ok, I said I was going 'window shopping', but I can;t help bu to gt some cool new outfits, especially since some of mine are getting old and boring. " She said and pushed a curl back into place an sighed. "Never though I could go shopping with guys, but it's actually kind of fun." She said, taking her dress and hooking arms with Levin again.

He sent her a cold glare. "Of course it's fun. I'm paying for everything." Shaking his head, he laughed. "But I guess my bonus from the last few years was getting overdue. I'm just glad I was able to afford all that. But the ice cream is going to be the last thing for the day. I can't blow much more without getting a call from the bank." Taking her bags, Levin escorted her over to the ice cream shop in the mall.

Handing the girl five dollars, he got her a medium ice cream. If she didn't eat it all, he would finish it. He placed the cold treat in her hands and smiled. "If you can't eat it all, I will finish it for you. But I've seen you devour ice cream, so I don't believe I'll be getting a bite." The corners of his lips turned up. "Let's go home." With her eating the frozen dessert, Levin ended up driving them home. Unbuckling his seat, he went around to the trunk and back seats to get all the bags.

As he walked up to the door, he saw his new car. Impressed with his decision, he slid the key into the hole and opened the door. Walking in, he placed Chanelle's outfits in her closet and took Lucky to the kitchen. Setting her on the gray and red marble counter, he gave the little crab a once over. "Welcome to your new home." Still bent over, he lifted his eyes to see Chanelle walking toward him. Jaw slightly ajar, a grin followed. "What are you doing?" he said inching over to her.
