It could have been simple sabotage, but the problem was fixed now, so it didn't matter now. He walked over to the wall, and leaned against it. He was glad that they weren't in trouble, but he was still a bit bored. He kept his eyes on the two, his eyes soon falling on the small round butt of Diantha. Now that they weren't arguing, she was actually kind of cute. He let his eyes slide along her body, looking over her every curve. He didn't know why but natural blondes were always so adorable. Especially when they had a brain behind that hair and she actually did. He started to smile, but quickly stopped himself before anyone noticed. He quickly straighted up and more firmly crossed his arms. "You fix that problem yet little missy? I don't want to die in an asteroid belt." That was better, keep your distance from her. he stood up, and straightened out. "I hope it was alien sabotage otherwise that means you're incredibly incompetent and are going to get us sucked into a black hole or something." He snorted, and crossed his arms again, walking out of the bridge, turning his back on the two.
(we can still go with the sabotage plot, we should just have it more subtle and long term, little signs here and there.)

(((Edited.....)))
Diantha glanced over at him as he spoke again, taking him in. He was very good looking, but it was when he talked she found herself irritated. "Yes, its fixed. Everything should be alright now," she said, standing up from her station. She rolled her eyes when he started again about alien sabotage. "This sort of thing is fairly normal, I doubt it was aliens. There are no aliens that can move entire meteor belts, now are there?" she asked him, a tinge of sarcasm leaking into her tone. It was rather odd that they had encountered such a large meteor belt, one this big should have been documented before. She looked over at Arrow. "Do I need to stay and watch this?" she asked, not sure if she was still needed. Arrow shook his head. "Nah, you can go Dia, I'll call you if you are needed." She nodded and left the bridge. After walking a little bit down the corridor, she stopped, thinking about what just happened. "How did that meteor belt just appear out of no where," she asked herself quietly.

He looked over at her, something at told her to wait. He had the feeling she'd be out soon after him and lo and behold she did. "I told you, sabotage. Think what you want, but someone, alien or human, messed with our navigation. Who knows what else they messed with." He came off the wall and stepped in front of her. "So he doesn't need you right now does he? Well why don't we get to know each other. Obviously we're going to see a lot more of each other then either of us release, don't ask why I know this I just have a feeling. So I want to extend an olive branch to you. I have to get back to my post so you can either keep me company there for a few hours, or we can meet up later. I'd prefer to just talk now, instead of waiting. I hate putting things off." He held out his right hand to shake. "So what do you say Dian?"

Diantha looked up as he spoke, she had assumed when he left that he was going back to his post. "Alright, you might be right on this one, but the question is why? I mean its not like our mission is meant to hurt anyone. If anything, it will help people," she said, looking up at him. She considered his request, he probably had a point. They did keep running into each other and there was only so many people on the ship, many of them she did not like or get along with. "Well, I do have some free time right now and it doesn't sound like a horrible idea. I'll go with you to your post, keep you company," she told him, shaking his hand awkwardly. She wasn't used to shaking hands, it was never normal for her growing up. She would agree to a truce, it may be necessary.

He nodded, and turned to walk. "Who knows why, we're not the most loved species in the galaxy, not like the Twi'leks, although they're loved so much they're enslaved in some sectors of the galaxy. I've actually heard of human slave rings although they're not very common. Humans have it a lot worse then you think, there are a lot of species that hate us. I've met very few races that actually like us. Someone wants us to fail and I'll figure out who, but for now, why don't you tell me more about why you're on this mission." He kept a steady pace with her as they winded through the corridors.

Diantha followed him, listening to him speak. She knew that there were several races of aliens that disliked humans, but the way he was speaking it was as if the entire universe was against humans. "You make some good points, but aren't there human slave rings on earth as well? Maybe you haven't encountered enough different species of aliens or the fact you are a mercenary? That problem doesn't give you many peaceful encounters with aliens. Though I agree that someone wants us to fail. Its just the question of who," she replied, as they walked. She appreciated that he kept to a pace she could easily keep. His last question made her think. She wasn't entirely sure why she had agreed to this. Earth wasn't really her home, after all she had never been there before. "Well, I guess Arrow asked. He's an old family friend. I like my job, so this was a way to put some of the skills I picked up overtime to good use," she said finally, after a moment's pause.

"Well yes, being a mercenary does mean I run into a rougher bunch if beings, But I haven't always been a merc, the argument I make is why I chose to become one. The human race needs to fight for it's survival and I plan to do so until my dieing breath. But right now I don't want to think abut who the saboteur is, or that one of them might still be on this ship. I think it's best just to get to know each other a little bit so this place doesn't feel so empty." After a while of walking they got back to his post, and he flipped the chair back up, letting her sit in it as he leaned against the wall next to it. "So why don't you start by telling me about where you're from, since you aren't from Earth."

Diantha thought about what he said, he might have had a point. They had bigger problems if there was a saboteur on the ship. Maybe he was different from her first impression of him. "Alright, that sounds like a good idea," she said, sitting on the edge of the chair. "I was born in the Andromeda galaxy, on the planet Gaceen, but I really don't call it home. I guess I just consider space my home. I haven't spent much time on one single planet to call one home. My parents moved around a lot with their work. It was actually quite fun, learning about different alien cultures and languages. What about you?" she asked, curious to know more about him.

"Earth is my home. There is nothing I care for more then her and her people. I came on this mission so that I may help my race. I will do whatever I can so that we humans find a new home, however, I am still determined we can restore Earth back to her natural state. Our planet is not entirely dead and I truly believe there is a way how. However intelligence is not my strong suit. Fighting is, and thus I will use those skills to protect those that can save our home." He straightened up, and readjusted his arms without uncrossing them. "So here I am, guarding a hardly used shortcut and talking to the navigator of this explorer vessel."
(Andromeda? is that a reference to the series or something else?)

Diantha was amazed by his dedication to Earth and her people. She had never been one to show such loyalty to a place, having always been moving around. "That's an admirable trait, your loyalty and dedication to Earth. Maybe I was wrong about you," she said absentmindedly, still thinking. "Well, guarding this corridor could end up being important. You will be able to find out a lot of stuff if something important happens. It might not be used a lot but when it does, its something big," she told him after a moment.
((no I hadn't been referring to it, it was the only galaxy outside of the milky way that I could think of without looking something up...and sorry its short...))
