Angel's suspicions were cleared with that one title. Boss. Oh! Well that was reassuring!After hearing that clarification she smiled brilliantly at Jake. It was certainly nice to know that he wasn't corrupting her baby girl! Not that Aria would allow herself to be corrupted. The silly girl was always under the mind that she didn't need a man. For most things that was true but then again there were just somethings a girl needed a man to do. Like protect her. Her baby was living all alone in the city without a man to protect her....

She turned her bright arm smile from Jake to Aria. "Oh d on't worry about it Aria. I don't mind if you bring a friend home. Sheesh you're making me sound evil.." she said with a soft tsking sounds as she stepped into the kitchen. "Alright hunny, sit down and take a load off. Now what do you want? Are you hungry? Or thirsty? Do you want some sweet tea or would you prefer something a little stronger?" she asked beginning to barrage Jake with questions once again.

Aria let out a soft sigh of relief as her moms suspicions faded.Good now she wasn't going to have to worry about that for the remainder of their stay. She chuckled softly in evident amusement as her mom peppered Jake with questions in the kitchen. She stood in the door way leaning companionably against the wall.

She struggled to hide her grin as she watched Jake for some type of reaction. So what did he think of her mom so far? Was he already at his wits end or did he have a better temper than she thought. She doubted it. She'd peppered him with questions before and each time it'd ended with her being tossed out of his office by her ear. Would he have the gall to explode at her mom? Her lips pursed softly at the thought and she waited watching him closely for some reaction that he was about to snap.

He nodded, trying not to snap at the amount of questions that he was being asked. He had never met a woman that was so happy to throw questions at someone who was almost a total stranger. He was happy though that Aria had cleared up that he was her boss. He really hadn't wanted to explain that himself, feeling it would feel a little rude if he had said it like that. "No, I'll be fine thank you, although it is very kind of you." He almost felt a little bit sick trying to smile at such an annoying woman.

He looked at Aria, hoping that she would say something that would get him out of having to keep nodding and smiling at stupid questions. "You have a lovely house...very different to the places in the city." He smiled, trying very hard to feel sincere. He wasn't often someone who tried hard to get along with people, but he supposed that if he was going to be there for a while, starting off in a bad way would be the wrong thing to do. He could always spend a lot of time in his room later on.

Thinking of his room, he started to hope that he wouldn't be sharing. There was no way for him to guess if the house had enough bedrooms for them all. He hadn't really thought to ask about everything. The reality also that he was stuck very far away from his own house, was something that made him feel even more uncomfortable. He looked over at Aria again, and felt a tiny bit better. Not because it was her, oh god no. It was just because she was something familiar from the city, and that's something that he liked.

Angel frowned softly a mildly insulted look on her face. He was refusing her cooking? But she'd just made a huge load of sugar cookies and other sweets. What person in their right minds could resist them? Heaven knew she certainly couldn't-hence the reason why she'd have to go and buy some new jeans at some point..but still! She opened her mouth to ask him just once more if he absolutely positive. If he said no again then well..the man was pure out of luck. He'd be on her hit list for sure. And the last place anyone on god's green earth wanted to be was Angel's hit list.

It wasn't a fun place to be but then he said the right thing. He commented her house. A bright smile lit up her features as she nodded agreement. "Why thank you! We just finished remodeling it..well we're almost finished. The only thing thats not quite done is the guest room." she said a small frown on her lips before worry creased her features. "Oh! Darn! I didn't know Aria was bringing a friend along with her..so we don't have any sleeping anrrangements made yet. Uh...I'm sure Aria's brother wouldn't mind sharing a room with you. We've got a perfectly good air mattress out in the garage. We could set you up in there. Would that be ok?"

Aria watched the two talking an amused grin on her face. This was entertaining! How often was it that she got to see her boss being grilled with in an inch of his life? That was exactly what her mom was doing to him. Not that he'd notice. No doubt to him it seemed like he was being asked a ton of annoying questions which was more or less the same thing in her mind but still. She'd seen her mom do this all past boyfriends and girlfriends of her children..wait. Hadn't she just cleared this up with her mom? She looked up in surprise her hand stopping midway on the way to snag a fresh sugar cookie.

She hesitated a moment before she grabbed one and stood up yawning loudly-ok and somewhat over dramatically- but hey! You couldn't blame her. She hadn't been that good in drama class but she did well enough to fool her mom. "Mom cut it out will ya? I'm sure Jake is exhausted.I think I'll show him around and then I'll take him up to where he'll be sleeping. You can finish your fascinating conversations later."
