Laelia was turning a street corner when, suddenly, his clothes were all infested by dirt. Looking at the person who probably did it, he realized that Arabella was there. With a confused expression, he started cleaning his clothes -"Was this actually on purpose?" - He asked, looking at the girl.

Arebella looked down, and saw the guy from earlier. " Oh dear, I'm so sorry. No it wasn't on purpose, I'm just upset. My father is missing" She told him. She glanced around, she looked like she could cry any moment.

"What do you mean, has he ran away or something?" - Laelia asked, and, seeing the girl's face, he didn't know if that was the right question do at that moment, so he continued, not caring if Arabella was actually going to answer - "Let's go to another place so that you explain me what happened." -, and waited for her to follow.

Arebella followed him once at the other place she spoke. " My father would never run away, last night while we were eating dinner, two knights showed up, the told my father to followed him. My father did, and he hasn't come back. I checked his shop and he wasn't there, I even asked the Knights in town and they claim they never came to him last night. Yet I know Knights when I see them" She told him.

After thinking a bit, Laelia said - "How was the armor of these Knights you saw?" - looking seriously at the girl.

" What do you mean, it was metal, it looked like knight armor. " She told him. She mused for a few moments, then she recalled strange symbols on it. " Well there were some weird markings on it, I just thought that meant they were officers or something" She said.

"Um... Was the color of their armor darker than any other, like if they were old and rusty?" - He said, and searched for something in his backpack, and, after a few seconds, he caught a scroll and a piece of dark chalk - "Could you draw the markings you saw on their armor?" -, he said delivering the material to Arabella.

" I don't recall. There was really only two of them that I saw, both of the armor just looked normal to me besides the markings." She said. She took the paper and chalk," I can try" She said. She soon drew the markings and symbols that was on the armor.

Looking at the marking Arabella drew, and seeing something that seemed an avian, Laelia thought, reliefed - At least it isn't the ones I thought... - and, after another brief stare at the scroll, he said - " They shouldn't be far. I might be able to know where they headed to, but, first, I must know where they led your father to" - with a calm expression.

" I don't know where the led him to, my father told me he would be back. I just thought they needed him to do some iron works" She told him. She still looked rather upset.

After a quite disapointed sight, Laelia said - "Do you have anything of your father? Something alike a piece of cloth, or a valuable, that he always carried." -, and started to put the scroll and the chalk back.

She pulled out her a medal her father wore. " He normally wears this, I brought this incase the needed something of his" She told him.

Hope it works... - Laelia thought, and caught the object from Arabella's hand carefully. Holding it with is two closed hands, he closed his eyes, concentrating. Only the gentle breeze could be heard, moving the grass slowly.
After some minutes of pure concentration, Laelia broke the cruel silence , as if he had been underwater for an arduous and long time - " West. Your father is west from here." - he said, panting. It didn't matter if he had been practicing tracking for some years, but it always took ages for a man to master it totally. Getting up, Laelia said - "Your father is probably very far, a place where this bird you drew can be found." - Handing the medal to the girl.

Arebella looked confused," Why, how do I get there then. I have to find my father. Oh thank you" She said. She at least had some clue where he was.

"I shall acompany you, since I need to head west. But first you'll need a horse." - Laelia answered the girl, stretching his arm a little.

" My father has a horse. Which he didn't take with him." She tells him. " The key to the stable is at my home" She told him.

"So let us hurry up, for we shall need to get away from this town as soon as possible." - Laelia said, and waited for Arabella to head to her house.

" Um alright, but I don't understand why we have to get away from here so badly." She said. She lead the way back to her house. She was filled with a feeling of dread. She could see smoke as they got closer to her house. " Oh god no" She said, she broke off in a run.

Seeing the smoke, Laelia had the feeling that he knew what was going on, but decided to stay calm and not say anything. Walking faster, Laelia soon found out that the girl's house was in fire. Heading near the frustated girl, Laelia said - "We can only wait for the fire to calm down. It would be reckless to try to do anything." -, looking to the high flames.

" No! I have to try and put it out, I lost my mother long ago, my father's is gone, I can't lose my home to" Arebella cried out. Arebella looked around, trying to find something to put the fire out, she would lose so many things if this house burned down.

Laelia held the girls shoulder quite gently - "I don't believe you will ever come back to this place." - He said looking at the girl, and he did it in a way that seemed cold and, yet, a little bit sad.

Arebella turned on him," What the heck are you talking about, why would say that, this place is my home of course I would come back here" She screamed. As she yelled the flames seemed to get stronger, and a the wind picked up slightly. At some point Arebella had started to cry.

"I'll be calling for my horse, be sure to give farewell to this place." - Laelia said, ignoring the girl's uncompreension, and heading to the forest.

Arebella would have run after him and screamed at him, but it would make no difference. Her sobbing got louder and she fell to her knees. She cried there for a while. She stood up and walked to the back of her yard. She went to where she had buried things for earlier. It was a good thing she had listen to that feeling for early. She pulled out the pack, she had shoved in the box, and put everything it it. Her travel clothes, and shoes, rations, pictures, her mother's treasure box and some other things. She packed it and tied it. She grabbed her copy of her father's work shop keys and made her way there. She walked slowly and took her time, it felt like her whole world was crashing down.

She also didn't want to see Laelia again, she found him all to heartless. He had said such a troubling thing, and then just left her there.

Laelia had called his horse, and, after some few minutes, it shoed up, frenetically running to him.
He went walking slowly to where Arabella was, he thought it would be better if she stayed alone for a while. After getting there, when the flames had consumed the larger part of the house, he said to the sobbing girl - "Are you done? We need to go before nightfall." - , a little impressed, for he hadn't expected she would have any type of pack, since the house was barely ashes.
