"No you a douche bag that likes to mess with girls feelings. I can smell it. People like you disgust me. I'm not worried about me I'm worried about you. " She batted her eyes and cupped her hands together. "Pleasure to meet you too. Piss me off, and you'll be gushing more blood than me." Jacob grinned.
His smile was beautiful but it didn't make Jacob blush. Her pale features showed no sign of liking of blush. This boy was just trying to get inside. Jacob rolled her eyes with a smirk. "Your little boy play isn't working on me..." She crossed her arms. She usually wasn't this bitchy but people who liked to bathe in girls just wasn't on her list. Jacob wasn't surprised he could know her element. After all she was wearing lightening earrings. No, shock there.
"Woopey, I'm supposed to jump around circles now that you guessed my element?" She sighed and put a hand to her forehead. She wanted leave and go home this instant. "The name is Jacob...Yours?" When the wind picked up and Nick latched on to her and the other girl. Jacob growled and shocked Nick when he touched her. Her eyes sparked. "I suggest you keep your hands of me if you want survive the next spark. Guess the points on your own." Jacob started to walk away from the two. Nick was clingy and Kris she was too innocent. She wanted to go back home and be with her big brother. He understood her and would accept her flaws. These people they were no different than her. Freaks is what people called them. Jacob wanted to cry and her eyes started to glisten but she would not show her weakness infront of strangers. You would always be kicked when you are down.

Leaving his hometown behind wasn't very difficult. There wasn't much left for him there anyway. He'd never felt much of a connection with his parents and his one link to that place had long since left. After clearing all the paperwork needed to leave the city, Hiro took one last walk around the city, lingering on the outskirts and bidding the aquatic creatures that swam by a silent farewell. He didn't know how long it would be until he came back.
~
The transition from the underwater city of Wayfter to the land above wasn't really that difficult, it was a trip Hiro had taken oftentimes enough. It was finding the city of Ka 'lent that would be difficult. As he walked, a gentle breeze blew by, caressing his face. That caused a small smile to appear on his lips and he turned his eyes to the sky. "I'm going to help make a change Lea..." he whispered sadly, "...wish me luck." With that, he squared his shoulders and continued down the stone path that led in the general direction of the city.
It was strange, thinking about it now. Compared to the him of the past, this him was entirely different. The old him would never have even thought about leaving the city to help change the world. Before Lea he wouldn't have done any of the things he was about to do. Lea had changed everything. She'd been the first one to bring him out of the city and onto the surface. She'd been the first one to show him that maybe there was hope in the world. And of course, she was the first to dash it all away. Her death had all but caused him to shun the world. He came to terms with it eventually...along with some other things. He lifted a hand to touch one of the sparkling jewels on his face, yes...he'd had a lot to come to terms with over the years.
~
Right. How had he ended up up here? Hiro looked around as he paused briefly in his wanderings throughout the city. Ups and downs...this city was definitely a far cry from his hometown. Looking towards the sky once more, Hiro noted that nightfall was fast approaching. How long had he been walking...?
When he'd first entered the city, he'd warranted some definitely unwanted attention. Maybe it wasn't normal for a Gagdofian to leave their city very often, but it couldn't have been that strange to see one here, after all, plenty of people visited, from all over the world didn't they?
Hiro was once again distracted from his thoughts by a passing wind, nudging him in the direction he had previously been walking in. He tilted his head slightly as another wind came to push him in that direction as well. He allowed a small smile to slip onto his lips. "Alright Lea...alright, I'm going, I'm going." He quickly followed the direction the wind had been blowing and soon, with little nudges here and there from the wind, he found himself across the street from his destination.
There was already a small trio gathered just off to the side of the steps. Two girls and one boy. The boy seemed to have latched onto the two girls for some reason and Hiro watched curiously, his expression melting into one of impassive curiosity. The wind that had previously been guiding him, ruffled his hair slightly in a gesture as if to say 'see you later' and Hiro let his eyes flicker up to the sky which he gave the smallest of nods to before returning his attention across the street. He was right next to a bookstore of sorts he realized and quickly entered. He didn't know whether or not to trust the three he had seen, for now, it would be best to 'lie low', was it?
He perused the different books on the shelves rather quickly before picking one out and paying for it. He exited the quaint store and took a seat on the bench in front of it and flipped the book open. He held it up in front of his face and scanned the words, flipping the page occasionally to give off the impression that he was reading. He would glance over the top of his book randomly, just to watch the three gathered in the shade of the steps.
It was with slight amusement that he watched one of the females fluster and the other snap at the actions of the sole male. Hm... it seemed that the female that snapped was the lightning elementalist, if the glint from her earrings was anything to go by. He knew the male had to be dark and the other girl light, the wind had whispered something akin to that to him as he'd been wandering. They wouldn't know who he was, would they? At least not off the bat if what he'd found out held true. The eighth hero, the wind elementalist was often forgotten...so maybe they'd never even heard of it?

Note: I created a silhouette height scale on the front page at the bottom. I hope this helps everyone figure out how tall their character is in comparison with the others.
Trying to keep back a laugh, Nick prodded Jacob. "So my Jakeykins, you are bleeding after all. Ha ha... erm... don't hit me. I bruise." Pleading eyes followed his comment as he continued to stand taller than she. But rather than following after her, Nick remained where he was. The warmth of his angel was more than enough to keep him still.
"Oh, Angel, for our first date we shall see a movie. It'll be some romantic comedy... just to get us in the mood." Winking, he bent at his hips some to place a kiss atop her mess of blonde. However, she was playing a little too angelic and innocent for him to soil, so he released himself from her and wandered after Jacob.
Back now against a tree, his cold eyes looked her over yet again. "I should warn you, I like pain. So shock me all you want, babe. I'm a sucker for it. It's more... pleasurable when it's rough." Reaching out a hand, he let his fingers slip through her hair. "Don't stereotype me. I'm not at all what you think. Oh, and the name's Nick." Reaching his hand to play with her hair again, but he undershot and had his hand land just above her tail bone.
Blushing like a fool, Nick retreated a few steps. Muttering an apology, the black haired male walked back over to the Light Elementalist. "Angel, are not sharing your name for a reason? I'm sure it's something wondrous. Perhaps Grace, Faith, or Angel?" His arms folded around her neck as Nick moved into a hug. "Ah, you're the perfect fit."
With a smile on his face, Nick's eyes drifted back toward Jacob. The light woman would be an easier catch. She seemed more mature and was able to keep her mouth shut. Moreover, her blushing was more than adorable. But then there was Jacob. She was a real challenge, and challenges were things Nick adored. Granted, he didn't know either of them all that well, but he knew, in due time, he would.
Sighing, Nick wandered off to the steps. At this point, he didn't care if he pegged himself as a hero. Sitting down, Nick let his mind race some. Neither woman would be his. He knew better. Reality had finally sunk back in. And with reality coming back, darkness entered his heart. Darkness. It was the only thing Nick could trust and... love.

Kris just stood and listened to the other two bicker, but when she felt Nick touch the top of her head she recoiled a bit, shocked by the move. Were all men like this or just him? AS he let go of her and began his flirting campaign with Jacob she raised an eyebrow. Maybe it was just him. He seemed to be a touchy feely type, although, she wasn't entirely sure what that type of person entailed.
Again she was shocked by the man when he put his arms around her neck and hugged her. Her face would have flushed, had it not already been red. She fought the urge to hug him back. It was a reflex she didn't quite understand. Nut almost as soon as he was on her, he was off again wandering over towards the steps that were the meeting place.
Kris took a look at Jacob and shrugged before she too walked over to where the Dark Elementalist sat. She stood in front of him and simply stared at him for a moment. Studying him a small smile crossed her face as its color returned to normal. She bent down so that they were face to face, which didn't take much considering her height and his elevation on the stairs. "You really shouldn't be hard on yourself. I think you just need someone you can talk to, someone who won't give you a hard time." Leaning over, Kris gently pressed her lips against his cheek, although she was rather close to his lips, and gave him a sweet little kiss. When she pulled away her cheeks were red a bit, but she was smiling her bright smile.

Akane had been surprised when the message had come unexpectedly, the ring's usual sporadic glow had been intense then as the soft whisper was heard by only her. She had been working at that point and time, her body had all but frozen as she listened intently to what had been said. One of her co-workers had snapped her out of the strange trance that had ensued. In short it had been a slightly awkward moment as the person she was working on at the time regarded her with wary eyes. She assured them with a warm smile that all was well before continuing on with the inked piece that was being permanently etched into the male's flesh. She made sure to have it finished quickly, her tattoo machine sending out the usual tune as inked in the final touches of color and detail work.
Dressing the new wound she went over the usual procedures with care after wards with her new client as he pulled his shirt back on. She was grateful for the large sum of a tip that he had left before shaking hands and departing for the receptionist desk up front where the last of the business transactions would take place. A quick glance at the clock and she decided she was finished here at work. For some reason her body was jittery and anxious to get out of the place. she made quick work of cleaning up and disposing of her implements before punching out and heading out the door with a casual 'good bye' over her shoulder at her boys that also worked in the shop with her.
Was it strange that she felt that she was almost saying it permanently?
X---X
Ka'lent City was hardly a journey for her as she had taken up permanent residence in the neighboring city, she soon found herself drawn to the area that seemed to be the designated meeting spot for all of them. Her attention was first drawn to the trio near the stairs, two femmes and a male seemed to be having somewhat of a verbal standoff, though it seemed to be a light one and nothing of the serious nature. Her attention was directed to her left as she saw a flicker of movement out of her peripheral, that mismatched gaze drawn to the quiet male as he sat on the bench and read a book. Her strange gaze flickered back over to the others as she was curious if they had noticed this other male's presence yet.
Deciding to engage with the quiet one first she felt it better to start introductions with him rather than start with the other three as things seemed to be quite lively with them. Moving closer to the male she opened her mouth to speak, "Would you mind if I sat with you?" Her conflicting eyes studied the male though her expression remained in that usual 'poker face' that she seemed to wear quite often. "Air?" It was the first thought that had echoed in her head as she attempted a guess at his element, her eyes intently looking at the strange jewels that were affixed to his features. "He is most definitely not in the ranks of the la'Ronk."
Feeling slightly rude she felt that it would be best to properly introduce herself, it was rather strange that she had just upped and asked to sit next to him after all without having said who she was. "I am Akane Miyazaki by the way, and may I ask what your formal name is?" For some reason it had been drilled into her head at a young age to be formally polite to those she did not know. Her mother's doing undoubtedly.

Jacob wanted to cry. Only her brother called her Jakeykins. She sniffled and a tear rolled down her face. It was difficult. Her life was rough. She didn't go far from the group. She was up in a tree that she climbed and she could see where everyone was supposed to meet but she promised herself she wouldn't come down. Not until her brother came. Yea, she was acting like a five year old but that seemed to be her only way of showing her feelings. She watched as Nick walked over and sit on the steps. Kris looked in the direction Jacob had walked off to. Than she watched as Kris went and give Nick a peck on the cheek. Jacob's eyes lowered and her heart strings ripped into two. She knew it was wrong to have feelings for a new stranger. WRONG! Jacob held herself in the branch to the heart of the tree. Jacob knew it was wrong for her to have snapped at him for no good reason. It was just an excuse to use the time of the month.
Why did it hurt when she saw the two together? Was Jacob truly jealous? She could only think so, and because of that she hated herself a thousand times more. Jacob didn't want to be a hero. She wanted to be normal person. Like everyone else. Of course, she couldn't be. Lightening was the only that was exactly like her. She would spark but than there be nothing. She was a weakling. Nothing more than baby trying to act 18. Useless. Little did she know her lightening struck out and the tree was now on fire. Jacob took a sniff and smelt the smoke. Than she looked down to see that she was high. Well, for her anyways. Her stopped and her eyes grew. Uh oh was the only thing on her mind. "Shit...." She whispered. This is going to be embarrassing. She crawled to the middle of the branch and it started to sink. Jacob curled into a ball and waited for the worst.

A kiss? Nick shuddered at the bizarre touch that caused his cheek to burn. His lips were so close to hers, but they where still so far away. A light whimper came from him as he backed his way up the steps. Hugging, cuddling, and spooning Nick could deal with. He could give kisses, but to receive a kiss? No, it was a sin. Nick wasn't meant to have this kind of affection bestowed upon him.
Lost in the kiss that raped his cheek, Nick's eyes pulsed when his ears picked up a cracking noise. Something sounded like it was... breaking?
Looking down at the steps he said on, Nick confirmed that the ground wasn't cracking. He also looked at the building and noted that it too was still in one piece. His crimson eyes darted about the park that laid before them to see if they could find the culprit of the breaking. Sure enough, he landed on the target - her.
Subconsciously, Nick rose to his feet. In a zombie-like stance, his jaw separated from its upper half. Mouth ajar and eyes flickering at the image that laid before him, Nick flew down the steps and out to the smoldering tree.
It wasn't a huge fire, but it was still significant enough to do some serious damage. Moreover, Jacob was out on a bending branch that was slowly giving away.
Half panicked, his spazzing eyes continued to dart back and forth as he calculated the branch's maximum capacity. Positioning himself slightly to the left of the woman that hovered above him, Nick's eyes narrowed to even slender slits. The pupil barely visible and his black fringe covering red remains of his eyes, Nick waited for the branch to cave in.
Eyes closing and head dropping to chuck his chin, Nick counted in his head. One. Two. Three. Now.
SNAP!
"Oof." His grunt was followed by a light thud. His behind was a tad sore, but it was his "goods" that were in the real pain. "Jakeykins, you're... crushing my... goods." With her elbow wedged in his crotch, Nick did his best to keep his voice from going up an octave. It wasn't easy, but he had earn his fair share of crotch attacks.
Opening his eyes, Nick's heart skipped a beat as his breath vanished. Not only was she crushing him, but he was also in his face. Literally, in his face. Her hair tickled his nose and her accelerated breath was panting down his shirt.
"H-h-hi." At a lose for words, Nick let his eyes do all the talking. They were softer than before and much more relaxed. Still wild and filled with a hint of that bad boy charm, Nick remained still. He didn't dare move for he feared he would either injure himself or get himself injured by her fury.

Kris looked at him puzzled as he pulled away from her. Had she done something wrong? Her hand immediately went to the necklace she had beneath her shirt. When it spoke to her it was the voice of her brother she always heard. Have I done something wrong Jacob? Almost as soon as she thought it, she found it ironic that the other girl's name happened to be the same as her dead brothers.
Then her head jerked around as Nick darted passed her. Her eyes got wide and she was quick to follow suit, but as soon as she was close enough, Jacob had fallen from the tree and landed on the poor boy. "Are you two alright?" She took Jacob's arm and helped her to her feet quickly looking over her for any sign of injury. Then her eyes went down to Nick and she shook her head. Jacob had managed to hit him in the most sensitive of places. Reaching down she pulled him to his feet.
Pushing them both in front of her she moved them out and away from the burning tree. She couldn't very well have them all get hurt before their true mission begun now could she. Once out of harms way she let the two of them go. This Jacob girl was having some particular issues, and Kris couldn't help but feel it was her fault. Had that little kiss really caused so much damage?
Taking a step back, Kris gave them both space to vent, relax or do whatever was needed. It was in that moment that her eyes found the other two sitting on a bench not to far away. A smirk crossed her lips as she knew they were the others. But then she looked back to the two before her. She bit her lip and hoped she had done nothing that couldn't be fixed.

Sumiko stood in front of the hidden shaft. She stared in to it black depths, “I will come home one day, I promise….” She spoke to the place that had in the past given her such comfort and even the item she wore. Gently bowing her head to the black opening she turned to leave. With her bag carelessly slung over her shoulder she headed to the truck transporting goods from the mining town and climbed in the passenger seat.
It felt like it took forever and she remembered sleeping most of it. The last time she had awoken they had been in the city limits and she departed thanking the man whom had helped her get this far. She moved past a water fountain, rather small but it still helped calm her. She moved down the streets taking it one step at a time, originally tracking underground water veins until she felt a disturbance. She headed into the bookstore staring at the fire elementalist. She was sat beside a male and Sumi felt her cheeks flush. The jewels over the male’s face looked intricate and beautiful. She regained herself smiling at the pair but stepping back and standing almost in the corner staring blankly at the bookshelf, she was trying to gain the courage to be bold and speak with them, the other across the street, who also had a pull on her, seemed to be in their own little drama. She lifted a hand to the bookshelf and let it fall. She felt like ramming her head into the bookshelf, she was being far too cautious, she was supposed to fight with these people. She let her eyes land on the one whom seemed to be her opposite. Smiling slightly she spoke softly. “My name is Sumiko Hazel Flynn. May I ask yours?” she timidly stepped towards them again.

Her tears were in full force. Heights utterly terrified her. She hung onto the branch with all her might. A ball of terror was what she was. Stupid. Idoit. Don't die for a stupid fool. Idoit. Bastard. Jacob could slowly feel the branch give in she clinged so hard it made her hands. She tried to keep her breathing at a good pace. Maybe she could face her fears and jump. She leaned forward and looked down. Her skipped a beat and she leaned back into her place.
SNAP!
Jacob screamed in bloody murder. With a quick slam she landed a lot quicker than she thought. Until she realized she was was being held and her elbow was in someone's crotch. In her mind it was gross but her lips did nothing. She could someone whisper. 'My....goods...' That moment it struck her like lightening HE caught her. After she was being so mean and bitchy he still saved her? The worst part was the were face to face. She was breathing and dripping tears onto his shirt. Jacob slowly tried to stand up from him but it was difficult and she fell back but farther away from him. Her eyes still held wide fear and her mouth was slightly ajar. "I'm sorry..." She shook her head and curled herself back into her ball of darkness. Not only did she just crush him but she was embarrassed. How childish she was to be terrified of heights and stuid things like lightening and water. Jacob couldn't even hold onto her brother with out hurting him. She was evil. Jacob knew it in her heart. Nick wasn't a douche bag or a jerk she was. "I'm sorry...I'm sorry...I'm so sorry..." She whispered. "But....stay away from me..."

Even thought the Light Elementalist had attempted to help her, it seemed like her attempts were pointless. Jacob seemed to be doing this on her own accord. When she offered Nick help, he was a bit hesitant at first. It was nice to be helped up, but it came a little too fast. Had Nick had a few seconds to free relief, it would have been a nice gesture. "Heh, thanks." Squinting some, as he was still in pain, Nick semi-crawled to Jacob.
"Stop apologizing. If I wasn't a dick, you wouldn't have climbed the tree." Reaching out, he touched her hand. The electrifying shock that followed was suppressed by Nick's will to keep her happy. "You don't have to worry about me. Like I said earlier, I enjoy pain. So shock me all you want. I promise, I won't complain. I might twitch a bit... but I won't complain."
Looking over at the Light Elementalist, Nick rested his head on Jacob's shoulder. "Hey, Angel. Would you mind getting me something to drink. I think I've had most of the water zapped out of me." Flinging some gold coins at her, he gave her a pleading smile. "I'd get it myself, but I move slower than my grand pappy... and that's slow."
Head still on Jacob's shoulder, Nick let his eyes wander. They were getting used to the electric current that was rattling his brain. It was a tedious task, but Nick didn't mind. He figured that between Lightning and Light, he would have his hands full. He would be their protector should they need help... or saving.
"Wow. Wind? I thought Wind was dead. And is that... Fire and... Water?" Nuzzling her shoulder with his nose, he tried his best to point to the cluster of heroes that were gathering by the library-like store. "They are watching us." Smirking, he whispered, "Stalkers."
Turning his head to look into Jacob's eyes, he took her hand in his own. "Shall I bandage up your little cuts and scraps? My lips have magical healing powers," his teeth appeared as he swept into a full grin. "And yes, I'm hitting on you again. I figured you prefer being bitchy Jakeykins over emotionally adorable Jakeykins."

Kris frowned a tad bit but took the money. She paused as she felt an uneasy feeling knotting in her stomach while she watched the two of them. Ignoring it she headed off to fetch Nick a drink. But she had one more stop to make before fetching him his drink.
Walking up to the people around the bench, she stopped and stared a few moments before she spoke. "You should go keep them from killing one another. WE are all needed for this task." Without another word she turned and headed off into the city.
She had never been there before so where was she supposed to fine Nick his drink? Tucking a stray hair behind her ear she searched for a market or a store of some sort. She was terrible with directions. The only reason she had made it this face was because her brother had guided her. But he wouldn't help for a task suck as this. Looking down at the coin in her hand, Kris didn't even see the young man step out in front of her.
~*~
It had been a long day for Ant or Toni, either one worked really he didn't care. Earlier, his charge had been given this location to find the whereabouts of the Elementalists. He could really care less. He was a medic after all, only there to keep Jenny safe and sound. Yawning he looked around at the people on the street in the fading light.
He was surprised when he felt a soft thud against his back. Turning around he saw a petite woman with long fair sitting on the ground where she had fallen. "Forgive me, i did not see you." He bent down and offered her his hand but froze.
She was clutching a necklace to her chest and he could see it's glow between her fingers, fear clear in her eyes. "You..." The word barely escaped his lips. Then his head jerked from sided to side before he grabbed her by the shoulders and lifted her to her feet. "Run! Get out of here now!" He practically shoved the girl away and watched her run into the distance.
Looking around Toni had to make sure Jenny wasn't there. If he had been caught letting that elemntalist go, he'd be dead. Toni's problem was he wanted to save life, not destroy it. The task of killing this group of kids never sat well with him. He shoved his hands into his pockets and glanced in the direction the girl had run. "Great...so it all begins..."

Jacob stayed curled in her little ball of protection. Somehow she was in her own little world and she absolutely hated what she saw. Nick treating Kris like a slave. They was all but to innocent. Anger filled her veins Kris was not a toy. She was human being like the rest of them. How could she ever be kind to a boy like that? WHo treats girls like toys? Jacob made it in her mind that she would not be anything more than friends with Nick. Even he was beautiful, charming, and sometimes sweet....No! Not gonna happen.
Jacob laughed and you could her sarcasam kick back in. "Oh because I would SO go into a tree just for you." Jacob shook her head that was tucked into her knees. "Your the most self centered person I've ever met, you know that?" He touched her hand her body was still electric. She shocked him again. How many times was it going to take for this boy to learn she wasn't one who should be touched? "So your a Masochist. God, me and you could be....nevermind." She wasn't going to be nice. No. Jacob laughed though. This boy seemed like the male version of herself. Pervert and sick.
Jesus, this boy was just touchy wasn't he? First touching the hand now lay the head on the shoulder. Jacob still hadn't uncurled herself and she wouldn't certainly when his face was right there. She had to be strong and stubborn. Tough badass chick that was terrified of heights. That just didn't sound right. Jacob finally sighed and lifted her head up as he was uzzling her shoulder with his nose. "What are you doing?" Jacob shook her head and raised an eyebrow. This boy was trouble utter trouble.
Jacob had a bit of trouble trying not to laugh while he looked into her eyes. "Your pathetic. Your also a liar all your going to do is kiss them and say all better?" Jacob added bit more eletric pulses through her veins making the current a bit higher. "Trust me, hitting on me like a five year isn't going to work. And I'm NOT bitchy, most of the time. I'm Just Jacob. If you really got to know me you would know that I'm quite fun to be around. But you, mister darkness masochist! Stop calling me Jakeykins its JACOB!" Jacob could only laugh. It sounded fun to say.

Far from home, that was definitly where Kyna was at this point in time. Her family had to report to some la'Ronk affairs, and of course, since they were Cor la'Ronk, they had to attend as well. Meetings and whatnot were not the the young woman's idea of a good time so she had managed to escape with the aid of the two, waist high hounds that she was running around town with. The girl was all smiles, the affairs within the main building being none of her concern. Even though she was the next and only person in line to replace her parents, Kyna didn't plan on following the usual la'Ronk way. She knew that her parents just did enough to keep them from storming into their home and destroying the island, but to the dark haired girl that wasn't enough. The villagers were her friends and she liked it there and didn't like the type of rule that had to be enforced.
The people of the town knew whom the girl was and knew that the shouting that followed the running trio would be the guards trying to get her back inside. You see, it wasn't uncommon for Kyna to run off, but the people in the major cities didn't know her ways like the people back home, they just knew her as some Cor la'Ronk brat that was the core of all their problems. "They're catching up Faline!" Kyna yelled to the lead hound as a chuckle escaped her lips. "We've gotta find another route!" Rory, the smaller hound was keeping a slower pace to remain right beside the Cor la'Ronk while the larger one darted down one of the alleys they were passing.
A view that normally would have been filled with nothing but blackness was illuminated by shadowy figures, almost ghostly apperitions. You see, when Kyna recieved the hounds they were bound to her so that she could see through them, see what they saw. To the la'Ronk, having a member of the 'royalty' being completely blind was a disgrace. So, with the hounds she could see, the everything was outlined with light, the objects themselves being shrouded in shadows until whomever was giving her sight was close enough to give her details. At this point in time, it was Rory, though it usually was since Faline would run off and make sure everything was safe first.
Without another word, Kyna and Rory followed Rory's sister down the alleyway. They were travelling along the outskirts of town now. A large smile played the girls face as this game of tag ensued. It was her goal to escape the city while the meeting, or whatever it was, was going on. She didn't like the city at all, she wanted to be out in the wilderness, like back home on the island. She would have figured that the la'Ronk would have known this was coming and upped security, but so far they hadn't.

As Kris walked off and Jacob continued to bitch him out, the male stood. "Listen, Jakeykins, I don't get what your problem is with me. I'm sorry I'm trying to be nice. I'm sorry I'm trying to be open and friendly. If you would prefer the other side of me, I'd be happy to bring that monster out. But know that nothing good will come from it. Don't you think that's a reason behind my madness? Or have you not thought of that?"
When her cynical comment about his self-interest arose, Nick could only laugh. "You're shitting me, right? Me? Self-centered? Please. I hate myself. There isn't a day that goes by that I wouldn't want to be in my own grave. But you know what, I'm not dead. As much as I wish I was, I can't be. I have a mission to fulfill. I have to attempt to make this world better. Not my my sake. Not even for yours. I'm doing this all for my dead brother and everyone else that's died fighting for what's right. Even though we're all oppressed, it's the unspoken, unseen heroes that really count. We're nothing but frauds. Hell, I'm a fake. The only reason I'm here is because my brother gave up his life to save me. Had I died, like I was supposed to, Deks would be here right now. And trust me, he's the best damn man ever born. All women want him. They always have, and always will. He's smart, kind, sensitive, charming... everything I'm not. He grew up to be the man I wanted to be. But then I watched him fall before my very eyes. I held his hand as I watched his life fade from him. I heard him whisper to me to carry on in his place and fight the war as an unseen hero. Before I could make that vow to him, I lost him. The one goddamn person in my life that I've ever loved."
Now towering over Jacob, Nick's blood red eyes glistened a hint of disgust. "You're no better than me. Pretending to be all high and mighty. Well, I hope you and the rest of you heroes have fun. I'm done trying to be a part of that cause. I'll fight by myself. I never wanted to be a part of a group anyways. I've always worked best alone. Heh. I've always been alone. It'll stay that way. Good luck. And pray our paths don't cross. Hero or not, I will not hesitant to kill you. Anyone that isn't on my side or civilian is my enemy."
Reaching out his hand, Nick wrapped his fingers around what appeared to be nothing. After a second, a large scythe appeared in his hand. "Later, Bitch."
With that, Nick wandered off to do as he wanted. He was slightly upset with how things happened, but he knew it would come sooner or later. He figured sooner was better for the group. Seven heroes was enough. Wind would be welcomed with open arms to replace him. With a large exhale, Nick's crimson eyes darted down the street. That direction was his destination. He was heading to Ciel'fant. He needed to collect his Truth Orbs. He needed to find out the truth. Was he really meant to be a hero? Or was he going to join Void and fight against the heroes? Unsure, Nick headed off toward the outskirts of town.

Kris sprinted. She had been caught completely off guard by the la'Ronk. Why hadn't her necklace warned her sooner? She stumbled and crashed face first to the ground as her foot slipped on gravel. With the skin scraped off her cheek, chin and hands she jumped back to her feet and continued to run blood starting to drip down her face. Then she spotted Nick.
"Nick!" She almost yelled, but her voice was soft, she never spoke too much. Then she noticed the scythe, what was going on? why was he alone? And why did he look like he wanted to kill the world
Placing a soft hand on his arm she stopped him. "Nick! They are here! The la'Ronk!" She glanced over her shoulder. "We have to get out of here." She didn't understand what was going on or how she had gotten away. Why was that man yelling at her to run? He should have been trying to kill her. She was panting for breath.
For some reason Nick was her top priority. She was worried about him the most. He was like her other half. They complimented each other, she just wanted to make sure he was safe. It felt unreasonable to be worried about only him, but she was. The fear showed in her eyes, while she had experimented with her powers, she had never quite learned how to fight with them. She was mostly defensive, not offensive. She didn't like being a hero. She was a simple girl, who failed at practically everything. She didn't want the fate of others to depend on her. She wasn't that reliable.

"My blade welcomes blood with open arms. Now let me spill your pretty crimson. I swear, it won't hurt... too much."
- - - - - - - -
Her red cape was hanging loosely off her manly build. Feet clicking in rhythm to the marching steps of a thousand troops, the blonde haired woman entered the royal court room. As the doors swung open, an eerie, high-pitched squealing noise appeared. Creaking shut, the female walked over to her throne-like chair. Boots colliding with the tabletop, her blue eyes shifted toward Az Verze.
"My Majesty, I am sorry I am late." Looking at the fiery haired woman from the crack between her crossed feet, she could see the other Cor la'Ronk turn their noses up at her. "Oh please. Don't flatter me with your arrogant prejudice. If it weren't for me, you're tongues would be killing the ground of peasants. You know I keep things in order, so stop acting like you don't know shit."
Uncrossing her feet, the female rose and towered over the table. "Your Majesty, yours orders?" Her eyes narrowed. "I would hate to continue soiling your courtroom. Besides, I can tell when I'm not wanted. Or is it... not trusted." A fit of anger flew across her brilliant blue eyes.
Her feet moved toward the door and her cape swung back and forth. "Jenny Lynn... or Princess, if you please, out. Mission accepted. Kill the heroes... or get them to join our side. But... I would much rather... bloody my sword." A crazed laugh was followed by her echoing fading footsteps. She wasn't going to wander too far for she assumed her Majesty would have some private words for her.

Jacob didn't hesitate to spit back cruel words. Her height didn't matter to her. She was only joking around. She didn't mean to piss him off but being called a bitch for the thrid time and saying your going to kill her went way over the line.
"Stop calling me Jakeykins, if you call me that one more time I'm going to rip you eyes out and shove them down your throat. Now you listen to me, and you better listen well because you don't I will kill you. Your height and bloody eyes don't scare me. Your life isn't the only one thats bad and sad. You think your the worst you think your going to get sympathy from me?! HELL NO! Like I care about your god damn madness? No." Jacob stepped up. The ground cracked a little and the trees start smoke as her currents were running through everything. Even him. Though, she could feel his pulse. His darkness. She loved darkness. It creeped around every corner. "I'll show you a monster..." Jacob growled.
"I never said I was better than you. You act like your the worst thing that has ever happened so you can get sympathy from others. You can treat little innocent woman like toys and when you finally meet someone who has the same power to fight back you run away. Your just a scardey cat who needs to learn that he is not the only one who has problems!" Jacob wasn't scared or sorry of his story. She lost everything. Her own mother was taken before her eyes. "You think your story is so bad. I was nearly killed by my father my mother was taken away from me and I had to live with my brother. Because I wasn't a boy. I was girl. I did everything to try and please my father but I just wasn't good enough. So stop thinking about yourself!! I lost everything I loved! Everything I touch or is near dies! If you truly know what that is like than you would understand the pain and sorrow. You wouldn't walk away." Jacob could only manage screams and yells. Her eyes hurt and her body did as well. She never used her full force.
As Nick whipped out his sythe, Jacob ripped off her bracelet which turned into her ring blade. "I would gladly die. That is if I don't kill you first...." She threw you blade at him as he walked away. "YOU ASSHOLE! I thought me and you could actually be friends...." Everything started to get blury and breathing became hard. Her currents were only raising. Her body wanted to give in. Jacob wouldn't let.

As her ringblade wizzed past him, Nick could only shake his head in pity. She really wasn't any different than he. In fact, they were more alike than he even wanted to admit. Either way, he walked on without saying a word. He was done with her. Hell, he couldn't even stomach her.
As he was wandering on his own, Nick was beginning to regret bailing on the group. But that all seemed to vanish as he drew closer toward the end.
Something was approaching. Nick was ready to fight, but before he swung, he stopped. It was the Light Elementalist. A hint of irony overcame him. Of course it would be her, he thought to himself. He was going to ignore her, but that was quickly dismissed when her hands landed on him.
Her touch. It was always her touch. It was warm and soothing. It was something that he longed for and would continue to cling to.
"Angel," his voice was soft like a whisper as he looked down at her hand which clung to him. "Why?" His face looked aged and tired as he moved in closer to her. "I've been a complete ass. I've used you, I've toyed with you, and I've even tried to purposely hurt you." Biting his lip, Nick looked down at her feet. "I'm not a nice person. You shouldn't keep coming back to me. I'm not... I'm not right for you. I'm too... consumed with darkness."
His hands snaked there way up from her hips to her chin. "God, why are you so beautiful." A little side smile curled up the corner of his lip. "Let the la'Ronk come. I won't let them hurt you. I told you, I'm here to protect you." Looking down the alleyway he'd just come from, he knew Jacob would be hot on his trail.
"Listen, I can't be with the group. I'll only cause problems. Trust me, the group is better off without me. You're better off without me."
His hands slipped through her hair as he took a step back. Before turning to leave, he froze. "C-come with me." His hand began tangled with hers when he tried to pull her away. "I... I don't want to be... alone. Not anymore."

Kris stared up at him, the fear seeming to melt away. What was it about him. Despite his cold and ruthless exterior she couldn't help but see past it. She knew he was hurt and that he needed someone. He spoke of his darkness and she couldn't help but smile. "I'm here to light you up... just because darkness is your element doesn't mean you have to let it consume you. " She spoke, her voice soft.
When his hands moved up her body to her face, her cheeks flushed. She loved his touch, and wanted more of it. His compliment took her by complete surprise. No one, no one ever, had said such things to her.
When he turned and began to pull away, she could feel her heart breaking. It was something she had never felt before. Nick was truly special to be able to do this to her. if he left she would be left broken and incomplete, it was a strange thought, but she knew it was true.
Then she heard his offer. Letting her fingers lace with his she stepped up to his side. "You aren't alone any more. I'm with you." She gave him a smile, her cheeks still a bit red. Holding his hand and speaking to him like this, just felt right, it made her feel like she belonged to someone. Like she wasn't alone anymore.

Her ringblade slowly rolled back to her and she picked it up as it laid at her feet. He right. She was the bitch. How could she be pulled to him? What was with him? Why? She hated him. He hated her. It was going to be that way because of her. Her style and it was all her fault. She could hear the la'ronk. She dropped her ring blade and started to walk to wear the la'ronk were coming from. It was time to end this. Jacob stepped out infront of them and held her hands wide.
"I surrender."

Now, if the guards had been paying proper attention as to the girl that had just stepped in front of them was, they may have changed their course of action. To them though, it was more important to find the Cor la'Ronk and so they just shoved the girl to the side. Who she was didn't even register in their minds. "Get out of the way girl!" One yelled as they ran through the streets, unaware that Kyna had changed her course. "You're interferring with a search party!" That was all that they would say, that was all that they could say really and it was probably too much at that.

Jacob smirked. "You forgot one thing..." Jacob stood and shot sparks at the search party. "You guys are idiots...."Jacob could only roll her eyes. She would stand there and kill every last one like nothing it seemed. All she could do was laugh. Her ring blade back her feet. Jacob looked down at it. "There you are..." Jacob picked it up. "Seems like were going to have ourselves a little party." She ran through the park shocking guards while on her way. "C'mon keep up!"

Nick was taken back by Kris' sweet gesture. Just as he was about to bend over to return a kiss to her, he overheard Jacob surrender. His brow cocked as he watched the la'Ronk just push her aside. Trying not to laugh, Nick held his index finger before Kris. "I'll be back, Angel."
Skipping over toward Jacob, who was just out of side from Kris, Nick shook his head. "Wow. Even the la'Ronk rejected you. How does it feel to have everyone ha-h-h..." his jaw fell as Jacob came into view.
"You're going to be the death of me," he said engulfing them both in a shadowy cloak. He knew Kris would grow curious and decide to peep on them. So, to avoid breaking her heart, he enveloped Jacob and himself from her eyes.
The space in his little dark shield would have been bad had Nick not found Jacob irresistible. "All right, we're never going to get over this. So, I'll just skip the small talk and jump straight to this."
His hands found their way behind her ears and he tilted her head up some. A kiss was placed on her lips and left there for a few moments. It was all he had ever hoped for, but it was also more. The sparks that flew and the electrifying feeling of her lips against his were more than delicious. Nick craved for more. No, he needed more.
Slowly moving her and the bubble back against a wall, Nick continued to make out with the woman. His breath quickened some, but he finally got a hold of himself and pushed off her. A quick grin was flashed at her.
"You drive me crazy. Keep it up, and I might not be able to pry myself from you next time."
Stepping away from her, Nick walked out of his dark bubble. As he did so, it burst. The blackness darted back to its proper shadowy locations. As the shadows slithered away, Nick walked back to Kris with a crooked grin on his face.
"So, we probably should head back to the group. I promise I'll behave, but only if you promise to keep me on a short leash." Pointing to his collar, Nick clasped a leash onto the front clip. "Arf, arf. I'm your new... play boy puppy."

The guards had froze, not really out of choice with the electricity hitting them. Turning they went to go after the girl yelling that they had found one of these so-called 'heros'. As they went to go after her, another appeared and then they were both gone. Rage filled them as they split and began searching every alleyway in the area for their appearance. Of course, when that happened the guards were long gone.
Faline was more than aware of keeping track of the noise, but the reappearance was what she was not aware of. Granted, she didn't see it happened, but all she knew was that the scent of heros was in front of her as well as two people, one of them acting very strangely for his race. Her long front legs launched foward allowing her to lower her body. The fur along her spine rose as her long teeth were exposed. She proceeded to growl at the duo, more than aware as to what they were.
"Faline!" Kyna yelled as her and Rory picked up the pace. "What's going on?! Are you ok?!" The smaller hound sped up a little more so that once they rounded the corner she was between Kyna and her own sister just in case whomever she was growling at was a threat. Bright red eyes darted to the larger hound before her point of view changed suddenly. It was an action that used to get the girl sick to her stomach, but after it happening for so many years she had grown used to it.
Kyna's brow furrowed as she stared at the duo before her. While the glowing outline around them was almost blinding, she could still make out the details of their appearance without a problem, though they were a little dark. She stared at them questioningly, not really understanding why Faline had gone so bonkers at them being there, it wasn't like they had attacked her as far as the dark haired girl knew.
