PuppetGoddess: I see. Ah well, I guess we all have our character vices :P

PervertPrince: Not all, but yes, it seems that way a lot doesn't it? Buffy and Angel at least had the nasty look to the vamps. That was a definate pluse!

I gotta ask a question here...Has anyone seen True Blood the TV series, and if so, is it worth watching?

My dad watched True Blood with his navy buddies and liked it. It troubles me that a bunch of big burly seamen would like a show for teenage girls XD

I love vampires ive noticed that when it came out in movies everyone was like omg edward is so hot and then in the second jacob cut his hair and took off his shirt so everyone loved him and said ew to edward. I love vampires but Twilght ruined them.

kitty1089: Don't let that drek ruin vampires for you! Simply do what I do. Scrub the fact that they're called vamps from your mind. Pretend they're something else! Like Pixies......The author just misslabled them. *Grin*

kitty1089: I was trying to be helpful, please don't yell at me. You shouldn't allow one lousy book ruin your life too. Pull up some Ann Rice and it should help.

I remember reading the Twilight series before it got popular, and even when I finished it I was like eh I wouldn't read it again. The books were bad the movie's were bad (Bella's twitch annoyed the hell out of me I swear she twitches and blinks throughout the movie). I always saw the Twilight series as bad mainly because (even though I never read a book about vampires before) I thought their portrayal of vampires was wrong. Vampires are supposed to be dark, murderous blood lusting creatures right?

But I do have to say thanks to Twilight I found Interview with a Vampire and fell in love with the characters. I love the darkness (exactly what I thought vampires were always supposed to be like), I love Lestat and Claudia, Armand all great characters. The movie is awesome one of my favorites

Perhaps...should I also mention that it was my old man who wanted to go see the first Twilight movie and I didn't?

Yeah I would have to agree with you on that because twilight was an ok book but there was a series of vamp books that came out before that which was called the Sookie Stackhouse novels, Ann Rice novels etc... then twilight came out and now all these writers are trying to sell the same product and I am sorry but not everyone is good at writing fantasy stories.

No I do like Louie I found him amusing, but the reason I love Lastat so much is because hes the kind of vampire I always envisioned, dark, blood thirsty, and loving the vampire way of life

Ahhh..... I like Louie because he's so....submissive! Even will all the matcho postureing, he's still so moldable...If Lestat had played it just a liiiittle different, a bit more careing, Louie would have never betrayed him.

Louie I think would still have betrayed him, he didn't like what he had become, and Lastat well he loved it. So I don't know but I think Louie still would have betrayed him even if Lastat had downplayed it

Well there was one that wasn't all that bad, but none I would strongly recommend

There are so many vampire books out now that are really bad, I hate the whole vampire trend that's going on now

I haven't read any good ones in so long...and I kinda gave up after a while so no....But I am writing a book series where the main charaters best friend is a vampire...If you caould call it friend. The main character is complecated in him simplicity. I just hope I can start getting these damn things typed up! Then on to publishing!

You can read a couple of them, or at least the first several chapters, right now if you like. I'm posting them on a site that's helping me with my editing and other things. Wanna go check them out?
