I believe in the theory of an eye for an eye. If you murder someone, life in prison isn't going to rectify anything. You get to live while the family of those you killed get to suffer and know that you're living your life in prison. If you kill, you should be killed.

I believe that the death penalty may be appropriate for people who we just need to get rid of.

But I also believe that the death penalty is handed out too lightly just based on "right and wrong" laws. Just because someone did something that was considered "heinous" and "horrific" in the book, just because someone meets the conditions for a death penalty, doesn't mean they should get one.

I wish death penalties were more rare.
