"Yes, it's got rather cold. But there's no men here usually that set my standards, and a man as fine as yourself is bound to have a wife of some sort." She said, curious to see what the man would say. He was handsome, but she liked men that had a more romancing approach, like how Alexander had romanced her into being his lover, not just asked her. She let out a small laugh. "Oh how I'll miss them when I go out to my harbor home, trust me I can hear them from my captains quarters." She smirked. "With my ship so close, its a hassle to get back to it for the night without one of those men trying to harass me." She said, letting her emerald eyes roll before glancing back at the man. "May I ask what your name is?"

"A wife?" Ryek roared with laughter, as if she had just said the funniest thing in the world. "Imagine...A pirate captain with a wife..." He laughed a bit more before finally settling down and shaking his head. He had never known any pirate that had a wife. Oh sure, some men had left their wives to be pirates, but he had never known any that were married, that usually happened when the pirate retired to settle down. "No woman with half a brain would marry a pirate, especially a captain...Women love dashing criminals sure, but they don't love the life that comes with being tied to one...and such hardships I would never wish upon any woman that walks the land." He was smiling at her, and shaking his head slightly as if he couldn't get a funny joke out of it. He cleared is throat a bit. "Ah...My name is Ryek Le'Raux."

She smiled. "I know many men with woman that they left in cities along the Caribbean, always longing to return to them." She said, laughing a little. "But yes, a captain would be hard to marry unless the woman was a pirate herself." She said, then ran her hand through her long black hair. "I'm Scarlett Marquet." She said in a velvety tone. "Maybe i'll find someone to share my bed with eventually, but its hard finding someone worth while." She said, biting her lip. "Hey Goldtooth, am I allowed to go home now?" She asked, seeing that the sun was now set.

Goldtooth looked at her "Il double your pay for tonight if you say justa couple hours longer, still trying to find a decent waiter. Honestly, the land-men here a un-reasonable. I wish I was back at El-Dorado, that place was every pirates Paradise....well....atleast Pirates who have a mind to enjoy it. I dont mean by the gold, I mean by the Brillent palm trees, the Friendly villagers, and the kind leaders." He told her.

Scarlett sighed. "Will do Sir." She said softly. "And i'll be your waitress until I have enough money to repair my boat, that also includes that I can be a barmaid as well if you like." She said, eying him. "Your ships a beauty Goldtooth, though it's a bit large don't you think?" She said, thinking it would be hard to steer, especially in cannon fights.

Diablo did his usaul and stayed quiet and unnoticed, listening to the bar maid and this Ryek, he found the conversation pretty interesting. Although he stole ships to travel he wanted to get on of his own, or make one like the bar owner did, just smaller so he could menuver it with onlty him and maybe a couple more crew members, he was a well known pirate, well for taking ships, and he didn't like that one, though some pirates looked up to him. He was now lost in thought about what his ship would look like, he'd stay here and build it, and realise the men and their ship, he'd have mercy this time. He wondered when someone would notice him and start a conversation just listening got boring sometimes.

He shook is head at sScarlett "I dont mean my ship Scarlett...." He looked around, then huddled closer to them "Ya know the rumors about me going to the City of gold?......Well their true....I once went there, a very very long time ago. I used almost a quater of the gold to build up my Tavern and my ship." he told them "I could go there again, but whats the point? I am set for life here, I have a decent busniess, a perfect ship, and a Good-natured staff. " he told her, then he reached into his pocket, and pulled out a Pair of earrings made of Soild gold. "Priestess used to wear this during rituals." He tossed them to scarlett. "keep 'em.

Scarlett bit her lip and handed the earrings back to the owner. "I'm sorry sir, but i'd rather not take something from you so expensive." She said, letting her bangs fall into her face and she frowned. "I'm sorry, it's just.. I only wear one pair of earrings that were given to me by someone I loved. Its a nice gesture though, but i'd rather work for my own items."

He over heard that the owner had gone to the city of gold. "I have heard those rumors." He says so they can hear him. "That is quite to the trip, I thought about doing it myself, but never really got a crew that wasen't too chicken." He said adding to his tale, he had thought about going there, but didn't have a relable enough ship to do that.

"I give them to you not as a gift, but because I dont need them." He told her, then heard the man "I could Guide ya to the City o' gold. When I went there, I made a Map, so incase i needed money, I could go again." he told the man, then looked at Scaarlett. "Scarlett, take the Earrings. I want you to have them, or would you rather Wager for them in a bit of Pirate Gamble?" He asked her, grinning.

"I'd rather wager. Then i'd be winning them." She smirked, then glanced to Ryek, wondering if he would start talking with her again. He was rather interesting..

He grinned at her, then went over to the Table, and pulled out a Deck of Cards. "Fine, if you win, I will give you the Gold nesscary to Repair that Sloop of yours. But if I win, I take the ship Myself, Do we have a Deal?" He asked her, curious to see if she would take the Chance.

"No deal. I only need a weeks worth of pay to repair my ship, and its everything to me." She said, not even leaving her spot behind the bar. She wasn't about to lose her ship to some rich man. Not her dead fiances ship..it was the only thing she had left in life. "I just can't lose it." She whispered, her emerald eyes saddening a bit, her black bangs falling into her eyes.

"If Im correct, it was Raided by Pirates.....they took your ring....was it somthing like...this?" He pulled out a Ruby studded ring with a White diamond in the middle.

Scarlett shook her head. "Nope, this is my ring." She said, pulling at a silver chain necklace around her throat, where at the end was a silver ring with a emerald on it.

He reached into his bag, looking around, and you could hear the jingle of somthing "Your fiancees ring.....what did it look like?" He asked her. What he wasent telling her was that he was the pirate that killed her Fiancee. It was Stormy, so the Vision was poor, so his ship and his face was very hard to see.

"I have his ring as well. He gave it to me before he died." She said, showing that his ring was also on her necklace as well. It was a plain silver ring, but it meant the world to her. She sighed. "You'll say anything to try and get my ship won't you?" She asked, shaking her head. "I'd only bet it if it was something worth while. Not something I already have." She said, still standing at the bar. So far she was just getting annoyed.

He started to get worried, but then he got hit with the most brillient idea "How about information on your Fiancees Killer?" He asked her. He looked at her full in the face with a grin. "I might know a person or two who might have been involved in your Fiancees death." He told her.

"I won't bet my ship on it, but i'll bet something else." She said, thinking for a moment. "Name what you want. Money, antiques, gold?" She asked, eying him. She'd kill whoever killed her fiance, that way she could move on and be happy again.

Ryek sat and listened. He was good at that. Better at that than he was at talking, if you could believe it. Amusement danced in his eyes as Goldtooth tried his best to convince Scarlett to gamble her ship away. It obviously meant the world to her, she had pretty much said as much earlier. Ryek's on ship held no sentimental value, but he wouldn't do anything with her if he thought it might cause him to lose her. She was a very very good ship.

"Come now. Don't tease the lady so.." He gave Goldtooth a grin. Though they were both pirates. It was how pirates worked, they gambled. Ryek had glanced at another in the tavern, one that had spoken up only minutes ago. He looked him over once, twice. Then his eyes were on Goldtooth again. "Women need to be treated gently...even pirate women." He was grinning as he said it though, a bit serious a bit teasing himself.

"Know what? ima skip the Theritics and get right to it.....the person who killed your fiancee..." He began, then pulled out the same knife he used on the day "Was none other then....me" He grinned wickedly at her, and underneeth the table he cocked the Musket.

Diablo didn't try talking, he found this to be quite facinating. He just sat where he was and listened, he didn't even respond to GOldtooth yet. He found tat he was actually a sick and twisted man to do what he did.
