I'd go with the new game set to come out on the DS on the 19th (just a few days to go!). It's called Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns.

I'm afraid the only harvest moon to hold my attention and i'm very good at it ;D i play Harvest Moon 64 for the N64.

I love marrying Karen and Popuri! I've married Ann before, but only because i never had before that one time, and Elli once also. The cutscenes in it are so cute! but the Horse Races are hard as crap.

HM is the stuff. First time i played it i was hooked on it. still play it till this day. Also i play a game almost like it Rune fatory

My favorite HM game is, and always will be, Back to Nature for the PS1.

My first HM game ever was HM: 64. That game WAS my childhood. Played the shit out of it.

Then came along a Nintendo game for the PS1, and I was in-love all over again.

I don't know why. Just all of the characters, and how they all interact, is unlike any other HM game, even today.

Remember Rick and Kai? What characters in other HM games hate each other like that?

It's the character relationships like that, that are aside from the main character, that really make that game awesome.

Now-a-days, it's all about the main character and his/her relationships. BORING.

I own a few here and there. And I actually havent played in years. Kinda left them in a box. But after stumbling onto this thread. I may go and dig them out. xD

I've actually only ever played Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility, and I've beaten it. I've been wanting to buy one of the DS games that lets you play as a girl, like Friends of Mineral Town and Sunshine Islands. I've only recently bought myself a DS, so I'm still saving money. Luckily, it's only $17 at my local Game Stop (although that shows how pathetic I am with earning money).

...I really want to play ToT now, but it's my friend's game. xD I've been yelling at that goddamned turtle for three game years now. And I'm the only one who's gotten married and had a kid on the island since I've arrived. xD

I really don't understand why people glorify Farmville so much, while Harvest Moon is so much better in almost every way. What would happen if a Facebook version of HM appeared somehow (which would probably be never, considering Nintendo's stance)?

Are you f-ing kidding me? I just saw your note about the 3DS version not coming out until the 25. I thought it was supposed to come out tomorrow but it looks like it was delayed like a millionth time. WTF? I'm honestly getting fed up with Natsume at this point.

and if you wait long enough on the start page, it goes to a cutscene. if its the right one, it'll have you milking cows. When you get to the shipping bin, right before you put the milk in, press start and the mailman will appear in front of you.

I have that game for my DS. I play it on and off...it all depends on whether or not I'm in the mood to play it.

iPod? Don't count on a single thing with Nintendo in it there, even after shareholders raged for getting some games in app stores after a Pokemon app was rumored to hit, Nintendo said... I think 3 times almost all at once, that they were only going to make things for their systems. It would have to be a 3DS or DSi app.

I've only played one game so far and I liked it. I'm probably going to try and get my hands on some of the other games. :)

Oh my gosh I loved Harvest Moon when I was younger. Still do really.

The first game I played was FoMT. I played the ever-loving crap outta that game. Never truly got anywhere though. Once I'd been married, had a kid, etc, I slowly grew bored of it. But it was still my favourite game for the longest time.

And I have a bunch more from the DS series. Although recently I found the PS2 game for really cheap so I'm eventually gonna get around to playing that.

Haha, I love Harvest Moon. The first one I got was Harvest Moon 2, I think. . . For the GBC, before you could even marry. Then I got Back to Nature, which is still my favourite even though I had the PAL version and it crashed when you married. I didn't know this until too late. ):

I had A Wonderful Life, got really far into it, and somehow screwed up my save. Never played that again. I have Rune Factory but never really managed to get into it much the idea of fighting things and farming is just way too much effort and I died over and over.

I also have FoMT, loved it (Basically cos it was just BtN all over again, but this time I could get married!), DS(loved the money cheat ;D), DS cute (Hated how all the guys in this one sucked apart from the "special" guy, but I had FoMT to I could've married Cliff if I wanted ;D), IoH (Probably my least fav), SI (Hardly played), Grand Bazaar (Played for ages, then gave up.), MM (Was okay. . .), ToT (Didn't get into the wii one's as much, they kinda take from the whole portable gaming thing, and Harvest Moon isnt really a hardcore game in my eyes.), AP (Don't think i've even played this yet, but I have it xD) and HoLV (Which I really enjoyed. (:.)

Yeah, overall, I love them. But I don't consider them "casual gaming" either. The amount of stuff I have written down about people and their fav gifts, recipes, birthdays, etc. . . It's madness. xP

I only have one game and it's for the Wii. ; u ; I put several other Harvest Moon games on my Christmas List and I hope I get at least one of them. They are so cute and loads of fun.
