@ Insomniac - Awesome, thank you. We can definitely do that. Is there any special wording you would request/prefer us to use for making the license clear?
Are there any types of items you would enjoy seeing available?
(My wife is jumping all over the place excited to hear good news )
Nah, no real restrictions, just make sure the work isn't super bad quality (that goes without saying right?) and be clear with people that the site isn't responsible for any issues (shipping, payment, etc...)
I'd like to see some stuff with the new logo (the one used in the flash games). Something as simple as a shirt, I dunno.
@ Insomniac - Yeah, bad quality wouldn't really get any sales. I'll be sure to make sure people know they can't complain to you.
Ooh... the new logo, umm... I think with the logo, a black shirt would work really good.
My wife made a sample shirt in a few minutes, is this what you had in mind inso?
Yeah I was thinking that, it does resemble the same style as like a coca cola shirt or old navy or something.
I had an idea of that logo with Yumeh sleeping on top of it with crown and all. Do you think that would make it look less corporate jelly?
(Just brainstorming though, as I'm not really sure where I'd get an image like that in high quality)
o.o makes me very grateful my wife is an artist
Would it count as paying by paying a user in gold?
Haha, right?
Hm. Could you elaborate a bit more? Because I could answer that question (or try to) in a number of different ways. xD
If you mean if it's illegal to sell fan art on Mene for Mene gold, then... in essence, you're commissioning said fan art in fake gold... xD I cannot see a company try to sue another for a piece of fan art commissioned in fake money that holds no money value.
I think he just meant in general because as a business, our profit isn't going to be in gold. ;P
edit: Oh, well I guess what he means is ... Iro is a mod, yes, but isn't paid by Mene as far as we know just by that title. Iro happens to be an artist for menewsha, but doesn't hold the job as a pixelist for menewsha... I guess? xD I don't know all the details about it. But I'm sure we could work something out in talking to Iro later if we wanted to do something based off of what they made.
editx2: I had an idea I wanted to bring up, which is...
What about creating some emote shirts as are sold in Hot Gossip? They seem like they would be really easy to make irl and would be popular to more people than current Menewshans. Like just people interested in the internet or texting in general might be attracted to them as well.

For me personally I can't see the logo being a marketable visual, unless if was a keyring or something like that, and even then it would need to be more than just printed on a bit of acrylic. If it was a 3D molded leaf shape and translucent then maybe, but it wouldn't interest me in the slightest otherwise. It would be perfect for the product label though, particularly the little ones they sew into the outside seam of a garment for others to see.
I've always though Yumeh on a t-shirt would have a lot of appeal, as it would be cute and non-Mene people would like it too. I have a mental image of a nice coloured girl's t-shirt (I'd never buy white or black, or a man's shirt) with just his head w/crown on it, drawn in a Hello Kitty/Miffy style.
Hmm... doing a keychain/mold might be a bit difficult starting out. A product label would be good though, that way it could be used on more than just a single shirt. Agreed to Yumeh being a good selling point. He's the first NPC newbies usually chase after until they evolve into fangirls for a specific NPC.
Not white/black? What colors do you think would draw more appeal with yumeh on them? Light blue?
I'm just talking from personal preference. I think Yumeh would look great on a light blue background and it's what I always had in mind. But this is because I'd never wear a black top, and very rarely a white one. And, those two shades are often all that is offered because it's kind of default. Me personally I'm a big fan of colour, and not looking like a ghost/corpse, so I avoid them
Hmm... true... I was eyeing the yumeh hoodie in my inventory yesterday thinking "This would be a cute product"
Is this the kind of "kitty head" you were thinking of? =D (Plus a crown of course)
Well with that feedback we'll definitely need to have options for a few colors plus black/white. Maybe Light blue, Black, White, Creamish yellow, and maybe a shade of red.
 I'm thinking of your feedback this way jelly: If I can satisfy you, I'll probably be able to satisfy most people here, so you're more of the "hard to please" variable that's helping a ton ^_^
Haha, I'm not so sure about hard to please, I just have very personal tastes xD But yeah, the anniversary hoodie is good proportions for what I visualise, just an actual face, not a silhouette. But not a detailed one with shading, just a simple vectored image similar to how Chococat and so on are drawn.
ooh, I think that could work. I'll have my wife make a sketch and see if you think we can get the look you wanted. She's says she can definitely do what you mentioned ^_^
This image is just one idea that was inspired by the discussion here about a Yumeh shirt. xD I will get to the one you mentioned now lol but I wanted to share this quick sketch I made. (I can do way better lol. This took just a few minutes) xD :3 But I thought it looked cute so wanted a bit of feedback.
Ohh, I like the design! Very cute. :eager: Maybe add a tail swishing on the side of the pocket, and a line of fish lining the bottom and the sleeves of the shirt?
Yumeh in a pocket is cute. I'd advise against adding fish and so on because irrelevant of the cost, I don't think that would make your average Joe want to buy it. Keeping things simple is usually best, especially if you're hoping to appeal to non-Mene people. Adding "Menewsha" somewhere prominant would probably not be a good idea for the same reason. It would want to be on an item somewhere, but down in a corner by the hem would probably be better. What would be really nice would be having it embroidered on, but you'd need a clever sewing machine for that.
There a shirt design that Yan made, let me find it...

SPOILERX
Being a guy, I'm not worried about the corporate feel of it. Add a witty slogan on the back, and I'd wear it.
 hahaha jelly XD I don't think inso need 100 of the same shirt.
I've been thinking about your idea a lot jelly, about the little sewn on logo at the bottom. Would be a cute "logo" for the menewsha shirts that we could have on all of them.
If menewsha merchandise gets more popular I think the logo would be possible corporate-wise, but for now I think "cute" with a logo at the bottom would get a lot more sales.
Are (unbuttoned) button up shirts still popular with a shirt under them? o.o Could stick the logo on that and have it look pretty good.
