Item-wise I am four away from completing my ALL RARES quest. I have a quest thread but it's poorly out of date (I got pretty new banners though! * u * They're Paperman themed. <3 ) Trying to update it slowly. I had the benefit of being here back when the site practically started so I kept up with the CIs and stuff. The NPC gifts and oh god the vday 07 (paid arm and a leg and after I got them all the giving back auctions showed up haha) were a bit harder.

I prefer to have an organized quest thread. Whether I achieve that is a completely different story.

I seem to have this unofficial quest to get all the commons as well (well within reason. There are some commons I seriously will never use and will never get) so just expanding my inventory little by little. Problem is I'll see someone use the item and think it's cool and I passed up on owning in the past. OTL take the Netherworld Mask for example. I was here when it was selling for half price! Said I would never use it. Then Ferra: makes these awesome avis with them I'm like, WHY DID I BUY THESE MASKS?!

oh... the dilemma of buying it end up collecting dust or... not buying and end up regretting. XD

I know right? xD

But since on mene space if unlimited and money is virtual I've taken the 'Buying It End Up Collecting Dust' method for things.

Take these frog items I'm wearing for example. I bought these back when they were first release and I have never ever made a decent avi with them... until today. xD

I have limiting taste and palette, so... I won't be regretting most of the time. XD
Glad to be picky at this kind of time.

I sometimes envy users like you xuxux. xD Those who stick to like one hair style or one color scheme and still pull off awesome avis.

Well, I figure that will be my identity style. *wink*
I like to have some kind of a mark/item that makes it Xuxu. Or whichever name I am using.
Like Hummymy. XD Her teal obssession and humming bird.

But at the same time, only you are able to be adapt into various area/situations/angle/perspective by being flexible.

Not worth spending that much gold for one little item when I could put that gold towards a million commons!

Mostly I just use my quest thread to keep track of all the commons I want. But it changes so often and my thread usually doesn't get much activity, so I just let it go out of date and update it every once in a while when the mood strikes.

Generally I just save up gold to have enough to buy everything I want half-off from the event store. Usually I aim to have 5-10k for events.
I know exactly what you mean about some of the items being so darn expensive and all you really are getting is just a small pixel.. So, saving 100s of thousands of gold to get them all can be rather tedious just to receive something so small if you can even find a seller. But, I believe that the end result is worth it. You can think, "Yeah! After all that time and effort I was finally able to achieve this! I'm so proud." xD Something like that. I know after I finally find an item that I've been looking for for awhile and finally can get it I am pretty pleased to cross it off my list. It is a nice feeling to get something you longed for, even if it is just pixels. [xD] That's how I feel anyway.

And yes, there are so many wonderful commons. I slowly gather them myself. most of my commons are from events though. I do my best to post enough to get them..Such tiresome and stressful work.

I've been a questor myself since '09 when I joined and have achieved many things! Gotten many items, met some fantastic people and have fallen in love with this site. I am honestly say that this is my favorite avatar based site. It really is an amazing place so it feels pretty great to accomplish goals I have my mind set on here.
As for a quest thread, I try to keep it organized and as up to date as possible... Since it is rather empty and no one really stops by () I mostly have it there just as a reminder of what I have left to get and to help keep me on track. Though it can be hard sometimes. For example, I have enough gold to clear out the "cheaper" CIs I have left to get, but am wanting to save up for an O. Fan. Still trying to decide if I want to clear out the cheaper items over a more expensive one or what because those strikes on the list look real nice.. xD
And as for achievements.. I have gotten all the EIs I want. I might quest for the '07 Valentine's items, but that wouldn't be for a long time. And I don't have that many CIs left to get either. So, that is pretty exciting! Makes me feel like I am actually achieving goals even though I still have a little ways to go!

I don't think I that I would feel the sense of achievement if I use 100k to buy a small pixel.
I actually feel 'ripped' and 'not worth it'. I like to get deals.
Although I will still be going after the super rares, will be happy if I manage to buy it, but it won't give me the proud and pride...
Because I feel unlucky that the items I like are expensive, precisely the kind of person that squee for joy if the pixels I like are dirt cheap.

My quest thread is very organized but I haven't updated in a while...
I have a lot of the things I am currently questing in my watch list on the Marketplace
Then, if I see someone selling something in the exchange, I can compare pricing and whether or not it's even in the marketplace

I REALLY WANT SERIUSLY

Good thing I'm not fond of those older rares; the crowns, the boa, the pudao, and the fan just aren't my style.

Yeah, I guess the accomplishment can be worth it! I've never actually done any big, dedicated quests here on Menewsha, but I used to do them a lot back in time on Gaia. I'd spend months saving up for one old item, then be so thrilled when I did finally get it. But their commons updates were so rare then (not sure how it is now, honestly! Haven't been there in years) that I didn't really have anything else to spend my gold on anyway. I don't know how I'd manage to quest here on Menewsha unless I set aside gold for the commons updates too.

Speaking of old and possibly-overrated items.. I hate to admit it, but I really do like the VDay hairpin.. I'll probably bite the bullet and commit to questing for one at some point. The other early 07 stuff, I will probably never care about. That pin is pretty though.

I am also hook on the hair pin... x.x
During 07 and 08, the representative pixels of Menewsha seems to be hair pin. All EI seemed to always have hairpin. XD

lol, I think now they march on towards background and frames. XD
I am fine for those too.

I am guessing that the pixelist could be out of idea of hairpin designs.

The problem is that hairpins are a very girly item, so they don't appeal to men or less feminine users.

I had seen male avatars wearing hairpins... are they all female behind the avatar?
beside, lol, Menewsha's hairpin is huge. XD

Just added some more stuff to my quest thread list and also tried organizing some things.. It still needs much work, but it is getting there. I love being able to strike things off the list.

It really does feel nice to complete goals. Even if it is just for pixels. :P

Lol, I must say that is one thing about Menewsha that often keeps my gold count low. Commons.. new commons all the time. xD Which is great because it keeps things new and fresh, but it also doesn't give you the stress of thinking, "Oh crap! It's limited time only items." The commons are there to stay, that's a nice factor and I love seeing new ones come all the time. :)

I just finished my mini quest of all of the hairband in Studio 52. :D I can't wait to play with them on my main account. Now to start on the leg warmers. :)

We could have more less-feminine hairpins? :o Like without ribbons and laces and stuff. Sort of like the Phoenix Jubilee's gear hairpins, those are cool. :)

We could have skull hairpins (not sure if we have them already), bone hairpins, shuriken hairpins, ...or even things like a monkey wrench hairpin. xD

Yeah, I have that one. But they all have those spindly things sticking out, like those sticks/needles that you stick into long hair to make a bun with. Those things make the whole item appear more feminine, IMHO, so maybe a similar version without the spindly things?

I am not sure whether the sticks makes it more feminine. XD

I guess I shouldn't call them hairpin then, maybe more like a...sticker on the hair? xD

Sort of like this?
