I think of Cain as more of a kuudere - which is pretty much what you're describing anyway. xD

Kuudere does sound like what I have in mind. I still think tsundere fit too (in its original meaning).

Admittedly, I am not up to date on all these -dere options.

I guess that makes sense, though I think of tsundere as less cold and more downright rude or antagonistic.
Edit: I just looked up kuudere and yeah, that seems different and markedly pleasanter (see above)

So I fell down a tumblr hole and ended up taking a dere quiz I got kuudere. Which is obviously a mistake due to my non - teenager answers I'm definitely a Dandere (I learned a lot, can you tell?)
