Shia briefly looked up at Luna before glancing down at her legs. She was surprised to find a long white dress where only stockings and sneakers were a moment before. Blinking dumbly she carefully smoothed her hand over the fabric to make sure it was real. Sure enough beneath her palms she felt the smooth white fabric and grasped it lightly before releasing her grip. It wasn't an illusion...

Luna resumed feeling her ears, "You know... I was sure I was human once."

Shia looked up from observing her dress to watch Luna for a moment before replying, "I think you could be right about that..." A strong gust of wind rattled through the trees around them and blew Shia's long hair about her face.

"I'm going to go look around," Luna said. She turned away from Shia and began walking, looking at everything in the forest.

Shia watched as Luna went off to explore more of the forest. She wasn't really sure if it was a good idea to let someone like her go wandering off by herself but she didn't follow. Luna would hopefully come back when she had satisfied her curiosity, and in the meantime Shia had a few things of her own to think about.

Luna's curiosity kept growing with every step she took. This place was very interesting. There were weird markings on the trees, and there was an unusual warmth even though before she lost her memory it was cold. She had ventured far into the forest, she turned around, but couldn't see Shia. "I wonder just how far I am?" she said, getting scared.

Shia looked around at the scenery around her, pondering furiously how she had gotten there. She vaguely recalled the comment she had made right before her unceremonious entrance to this world. Could it possibly have anything to do with her appearance here? Or had she really hit her head against the tree behind her when she fell? Maybe she had passed out and it really was a dream... Shia quickly reached back to feel her head for any sore spots when her hand brushed against something hard.

Luna had gotten very far in the woods. She was starting to get scared. She looked around some more, hoping Shia had followed her. She couldn't remember where she had come... was her memory getting worse by the moment

Shia gently ran her hand over the object and found that it curved oddly into some sort of swirl. Shia carefully tugged at the object in hopes of removing it from her head but quickly realized that it wasn't going to budge. Slightly panicking, she looked around for something to see herself with. A small body of water would be perfect but nothing seemed to be nearby... Carefully letting go of the foreign object on her head, Shia started off in the direction Luna had gone in hopes of finding both the elven girl and a way of seeing what was on her head.

Luna got really dizzy and started to get disoriented. She fell against a tree and bumped her head rather hard. She put her hand to the back of her head and realized that she had started to bleed. "I'm in real trouble now..." she said to herself.

((Ah, okay. You had me worried there for a moment... ^^; And... Sorry I didn't reply sooner. I've been practically pulling my hair out over trying to find a new lender for my college loans. T_T))

Shia wandered slowly through the unfamiliar territory. Every once and a while she reached her hand up to touch the foreign object on her head as if checking to see if it was still there. She was just starting to wonder where Luna had gone when she spotted something leaning against a nearby tree. "Luna?" she called quietly before cautiously approaching the tree.

Luna could hear a voice. "Who's there?" she had become temporarily blind. "Is it you Shia?"

Recognizing Luna's voice, Shia walked the rest of the way over to the tree. Seeing Luna's rather awkward position she replied, "It's me... Shia. Are you okay?"

"I... don't know..." Luna said. "I started bleeding... and I think I may be losing my memory again

Shia gently touched Luna's shoulder. She was never any good with helping other people when they were in pain, "It'll be okay..." she said softly, a bit uncertain if that was the truth or not, "I'll be with you."

"Really?" Luna said weakly. "That would be... great"

Shia nodded lightly and then replied "Yeah..." in case Luna didn't see it. Shia hesitated again, trying to think of the best course of action given their current situation. Would it be best to try to find some sort of settlement? Or would Luna be better off if they stayed where they were? And in the back of her mind still remained the question of what was on her head... Maybe a bit of cool water would do them both good? Making her decision Shia spoke up again, "Do you think you can walk?" she asked Luna carefully, hoping that she wouldn't have to carry the older-looking girl.

Luna wondered whether she could walk, she stood up then staggered and fell down. She tried again and reached against the tree. "I'll try to walk!"

Shia watched Luna's attempts to walk with concern, "Don't try if it's too much for you..." she replied uncertainly. "I can try to help you though..." she said both to herself and Luna as she gently but surely gripped Luna's arm to give her added support.

"Thanks," Luna said. "But I've got it, I'm used to this sorta thing," she lied, but she knew she had to carry on. She couldn't be weak.

Shia studied Luna for a moment before replying, "Don't be ridiculous... We're both in this together... We might as well help each other out." With that she kept her careful grip on Luna's arm and tried to gently lead her forward.

"Um... okay," Luna said. She felt a bit helpless having Shia help her. She was so use to doing things on her own

Shia did her best to help Luna along not really caring whether Luna objected to the help or not. Shia could be a bit forceful if she really wanted to... "When you were walking did you see any streams around?" she asked casually as they made their way forward.

"I... forgot," Luna said quietly. "My memory seems to fade quickly..."

"Oh, okay." Shia replied gently. As they slowly made their way deeper into the forest she kept a keen lookout for any sights or sounds that might give away the presence of water nearby.
