Yeah I'm the same way with Swedish and Finnish. Though I'm rethinking Finnish.. it's not as pleasant sounding as I thought. XP

I think a lot of people think that it's such a musical language that's so soft spoken and super romantic all the time but really it's only like that in the movies. If you've ever heard young French people speak you'd find they're just like american youth with chat lingo and faster speech that doesn't sound much like the way people usually view French. ^^; I mean, it's still a pretty language, it's just not as flowery as it's usually thought to be when spoken in an everyday context.

French I don't mind. I think it still sounds appealing, but Finnish I listened to and was like "Er... >.o"

Oh, I thought you were talking about French. I knew a girl who was from Finland but I never heard her speak. I should listen to Swedish sometime, all I've heard is someone singing, not speaking.

We saw the first two movies. They are very good. Disturbing because of the type of film, but very good nonetheless. I haven't read the books though. My husband is slowly reading the first one. :P

Oh, it's a series? I didn't know that, I thought it was just a single movie. I didn't know that it was based on a book either. What's the basic synopsis without giving any of it away?

It's a murder mystery type deal, but with like... a darker feel to it.
Yeah. It's three books and three movies.

Is it horror? Or bloody? I usually don't like those types of movies. I like your new avi BTW, very cute!

Um... no not really. It's realistic. There are like... horrible parts where you feel sorry for the main character, but not a true horror film. It's scary kind of because it's such a bad thing that's happened (murder and all) but not the make you jump or cover your face kind of thing.
And thanks. :D I got bored with the other one. XD

Ah, it sounds tolerable violence and blood wise. I usually can't stand horror or gory movies. T_ T
I don't really like the avi I have on now. I've been meaning to change it but just haven't gotten around to it yet.
That leafy cat thing in your sig has me intrigued. Is it a reference from and anime or a game like Miku or is it an original character?

Yeah. It wasn't too bad. I don't like horror movies either; so I wouldn't be saying to watch it if it was. xD I probably wouldn't have watched it.
I like your new avi you have now. :D It's cute.
Lawl, it's a Leaf Cat from Ragnarok, manga and online game.

Ah, I'll probably try to watch it with my fiance next time we're together then. ^^;
The pink and yellow one I have now? It's a slight variation of one that used for like...a day. I wanted to actually wear it for longer this time. ^^;
Hm, I've heard of Ragnarok and I find the art interesting but I've never really gotten to know just exactly how it works. The leaf cat's name is Naneen like the one in your sig? I wouldn't mind trying to find some more pictures of him...

Yah do eet! :P
Yes. I especially like the egg on your head. XD!
Ragnarok is kind of sad because the manga never got finished. The online game is/was fun, but like most MMOs, not fun to play alone. =\
I enjoyed it when I did play and I try to get back into every now and then, but it's just not the same. Ah well. The monsters in Ragnarok are neat though. So even though I don't play it much anymore I still like Ragnarok things like art people do for it and figurines. The Leaf Cat's name is Leaf Cat. That's what it's called in the game. I just named it Naneen for my signature. If you type in "Ragnarok Leaf Cat" in Google there are a few pictures. XD

Yeah, the egg was really the inspiration for the avi. ^^;
Is Ragnarok free to play? I think I heard about the manga getting stopped before the end. And LOL, that's a great name for the cat. Intuitive enough I'd say. ^^; I've always liked the art of Ragnarok even though I didn't know much about it.
I saw Harry Potter this afternoon. It was good, I can't wait for the next one in July.

Lawl. What's it called, the egg thing?
Um.. I think so. It wasn't at first; so as a result there are lots and lots of free private servers to play, but now the official Ragnarok has a free server along with the one you pay for. I think the one you pay for gives you more experience in game so you level faster. Haha yeah. I really do love like the world of it. I wish I had loads of friends to play the game with still. Ha~ I can't get it to work on this computer anyway though. xP
Yay! You enjoyed it then? We saw it last night at the midnight showing (because we totally have nothing better to do). I liked this one. It really captured the mood of the whole thing. I still feel like the last movie was the most depressing though, and I totally feel sorry for Malfoy.

Um, it's one of the colored Easter eggs. I'll have to check which one.
Hm, I got rather confused about all that server stuff. I probably won't ever play it even if it is free. I don't seem to be very good at MMOs. I guess I'd rather stick to my console games. I've been mostly playing my DS lately.
The movie was great! I feel they did a very good job at making it comprehensible for people who didn't read the books. I really wanted to see the movie in Imax and the nearest theater is an hour away so I decided to wait until this afternoon to go see it. I got tickets from Fandango so I didn't have to worry about it selling out.

Ooh I see. It's ok though, you don't have to go searching. Chances are I'll never get it. Lmao.
Haha, alright. All the server stuff is confusing and then the game itself. Dealing with the stats also is a pain sometimes and then along with everything else, what gears to wear, what weapons.. Ugh. I can see how people get so consumed with it all.
I used to play on my DS a bit, but not so much anymore. My husband plays mostly console games as well.
Haha yeah. My husband said the movie seemed a bit quiet though (probably the theater), and I've always had a bit of trouble trying to understand what they're saying because of the speed of their speech and accent. I've never read the books; so... XP But I enjoy the movies. The closest IMax here is 2 hours away. And our little theater here is about 10 minutes away; so we just went there early and bought tickets in advance. Got to sleep at 3am!

No, it's not too hard to look for it, I just wrote that and forgot to check. It's the Sky Blue Egg. I don't think those eggs usually go for much. When I was selling mine they were only 25 gold each.
Yeah... That is a lot to keep track of. I started playing an MMO once and I did like it but then realized how it was really just level grinding and decided to stop before I got hooked. I really only joined because I thought my fiance could play with me but it didn't end up working on his computer. I recently tried another one called Kitsu Saga but it's waaay over complicated so I quit that one too.
I love my DS! It's probably the first system I've really gotten into and bought a lot of games for. I like that it's portable and much cheaper than console games. I can just kinda snuggle up with it in bed or play it on break and it has a lot of the RPG style games that I like. I'll probably stick with my DS Lite for quite a while longer even though the 3DS, the next generation of Nintendo portable, is likely coming out around Easter.
Hm, I've never had any trouble trying to understand what they're saying but I'm also familiar with the books so it probably helps that I already know what's going on. Before I watched this last one I rewatched all the other ones with French dubs for those that had them and French subtitles for the ones that didn't. It was quite interesting but a bit hard to get past the different voices while still looking at the same actors.

Oh! Haha. That is pretty cheap... XP Thanks. :D
Yeah, that's all they are. Lmao. I'm dedicating myself to Aion though. It's quest driven (at least for a while). I'm having a friend help me in it though so it's not as bad. Otherwise I would be myself and I probably wouldn't be playing. XD
Ooo I tried that one. I don't remember it too much though because I quit soon after I joined too. Lmao.
I used to be really into handheld and console games, but then I just grew out of it. XD The main game I play is Little Big Planet and I've only been using my DS to practice my Japanese. xP
I doubt I'll get the 3DS since I don't use my DS now.
Haha I can imagine. I try to watch movies with their original language but it depends on how it sounds. Sometimes it just sounds too cheesy with the original languge. XP
Us going at the midnight showing was last minute; so we didn't watch any of the other movies. That's so cool though, that you're able to watch them in another language. I can't wait until one day I'm able to do it. @v@

Aion looks pretty from what I've seen but I don't know anything else about it.
My fiance will be getting the 3DS I'm sure. He has to get everything new. >.< I'd probably get that French Coach game for the DS if I didn't think it would be way below my current level. The German one might be fun though... I've been thinking about trying some of the games I have in French but haven't gotten around to it yet.
Usually people say a movie is cheesy when played in another dub, not in the original language. Especially in reference to Japanese anime, usually people hate the English dubs though I myself prefer them. I used to watch them in French with English subtitles but now I just watch the movies without the subtitles. There's still some words I don't understand of course but you can usually get the gist of what's going on anyway.

It is. :3 It's awfully lonely though if you don't have anyone to play with. xD I like it because it gives me something to do, lmao. If you do get into it though, let me know. ;D
Haha. My husband is the same way, but with me out of job I don't know if it would be a good idea to just indulge and get it just to get it. He hardly uses his DS too.
Ooh, I have the French one as well! I agree that it would be below your level. XD
Haha, I know. I don't watch much anime; soo.. =\ I can't really relate too much there. Just movies in general though. Sometimes though, Japanese female voices are so high it annoys me. XD!
D'aww. One day! I'll be like you! But with.. Japanese... lmao. French too though, just probably much later.

Is it free to play? I'm personally not very willing to spend any money on well, much of anything at the moment as my student loans are coming back to haunt me now. T_ T
Yeah, that's my only concern with my fiance is money. He's waaaay too obsessed with new tech. What are those language coach games like? What do you do in them?
You should try to get into anime is you're really that into Japanese. Most anime comes in Japanese with English subtitles. I know a lot of people that learn Japanese that way, just by picking up some phrases here and there. It would probably help you with your pronunciation a bit too, hearing it spoken a lot. There are lots of different genres and stuff to anime so I'm sure there's at least something you'd like.

Awww. No it's not. :( Oh well. Paying off those loans is more important, definitely. -nod-
Yeah. My husband is kind of the same way. I think he's calmed down a lot though, he just likes things and likes to get them when they get out, movies, games, etc.. XD But yeah, he's gotten the hang of it, I think. xD Managing money.
Well for the Japanese one, there's a map with a bunch of dots and as you progress, you move on to the next dot. You unlock more lessons as you go along and more types of games. Japanese teaches the characters and different vocabulary. It's getting into sentence structure now. And you have to reach a certain amount of points before you can go on to the next lesson. You play the games to practice the vocabulary it teaches. :B
Ah, anime is just not my thing. I like a few of them, but I can't just go out and start watching them just to try and learn comprehension. I mean... maybe I'll try a bit more once I feel I can understand a bit more in conversation, but I don't want to be one of those people that has learned through anime. (I have learned like.. one or two phrases from the ones I used to watch.) I'd rather listen to real people speak normally than to voice actors exaggerating for characters. XD Not to diss those people or anything, just saying, not my cup of tea. :x
But there are Japanese dramas, which I kind of got into one, but at the time I just didn't have the time to watch it a lot.
