I DMed once... never again. I was using a pre-made game and got super frustrated when the players didn't bother with the story and skipped to the bad guy in the first hour.

Ah yeah, that really sucks. I'm really just not strong enough on the game mechanics to know how to run it myself.

We have a long weekend this weekend for which I am very thankful.

unless DnD goes off, no. Holidays are becoming normal regular days for us... there's no family or friends to celebrate with so we just do what we would usually do...

Yeah, I know that feeling. I try to do a little something special though even if it's just myself. ^^;

I want to go get snacks for the countdown, but we don't really have the money right now. I mean we have my birthday gift money but Matt feels bad using that for food.

Aw, that's no fun. I don't have any snacks either but I do have a bottle of wine someone gave me for Christmas. XD

unrelated. I got an email from Purina because I sent them a note about our current bag of cat food and how Mallow is being picky because it makes a lot of crumbs. They want to reimburse me for the crumbly food.

Quick Q! What is it like owning a cat? I've been thinking about adopting one from the shelter I used to volunteer at. I know the basics but I've never actually lived with one so I'm trying to do as much research as possible before I make The Big Move.

This cat is super easy. We found her at the Taco bell drive through, took her to the cat shelter once she was old enough to get her shots and get fixed. We've got her on pine pellet litter and she doesn't like wet food, so dry only. She's alright with bathtime, and doesn't mind her nails being trimmed, she has to get her nails filed if I take an emery board out, she loves those things.
We got lucky that she's so easy going.
She spends most of her time sleeping under the bed or under the couch. She does greet us when we get home and like sitting on or near us while we're watching tv. She tries to keep us in the same room, and will herd us into the bedroom when she has decided it is bedtime.

Cat's do pick though. You do need to get something for scratching, Mallow has a cat tree.

Contrary to popular belief cats can be trained. She sits for her food, doesn't pick on things that she shouldn't, doesn't eat things off of plates left out, stays out of the kitchen.

My cat seems like a little devil compared to Mallow. It's funny because Mallow is white and Yuna is black and they're like the perfect yin yang comparison. XD

Mallow is great, except in the middle of the night when she decides that she REALLY NEEDS to get in the closet that's always closed...

This is true to some extent, Siamese cats are much more chatty than some others.
Mallow is not much of an example since she is basically a street cat, her mother was likely a feral cat.

My cat has randomly been crying in the night a lot. Mamamraowww! XD
