"I think my little hometown has a slightly higher ratio of understanding people than most," Glory said. "I have a few friends topside who are... mostly aware. I live with my grandmother, even."

"I see." Lleu left it at that. He didn't want to overflow Glory with his blathering, and he had noticed that Léan was not so comfortable with him just yet. He would wait.

Léan was tagging along silently, eyeing the sights around them.

Glory stayed close to Léan. She felt more at ease with him around.

Lleu proceeded to give them a short tour of Utzi. There were quite a few theaters and museums here...as well as schools and universities. There were restaurants, and something called a Light Emporium, where several bio-luminescent fish could be seen for sale.

Glory looked around in interest at everything they passed. It would take days, or even weeks, to see everything properly, but she made mental notes as to which places looked more interesting than others.

Lleu fell silent, seemingly at the end of his tour. "You are not looking for a home, correct? For now, you have a home." He turned back and glanced into Glory's eyes. His eyes seemed to see right through her--bright, yet colorless. "But you do have a pair in your group who needs a permanent home, yes?"

...He was, somehow, referring to her parents. He knew. It wasn't normal.

"Would I just be better off not knowing exactly how you know that?" Glory asked. It creeped her out, but she was still curious about it.

Lleu's response began with a soft chuckle. "If you aren't fond of long explanations, some things are better left unsaid, yes?" he replied, gently. "About those two that need a home. They are welcome here."

"I'll see if I can talk them into it," Glory said. "It would be nice to have home be a little less crowded."

"I would imagine. Then again..." Lleu turned his seemingly all-seeing eyes on Léan, who seemed like he was very nervous. He'd been very quiet since Lleu had approached them, and Lleu had taken notice of this. "I don't think the other three will want to leave, hmm? They're better off with you, anyway."

Léan was visibly creeped out. Whatever Lleu was doing, it was almost like he was prying their heads open and fetching information for himself.

Glory took Léan's hand gently. She knew he was completely creeped out, because she was too. It just wasn't right that Lleu knew such things.

Léan squeezed her hand, smiling at her.

"I'm sorry. You must be very creeped out by the way I am." Once again, he almost seemed to be reading their minds. "I've always been this way. I know things I shouldn't at a first glance."

"I'm guessing it's one of those things you get used to after a while," Glory said. She was still holding Léan's hand, but she didn't mind, and she figured he didn't mind, either.

"I guess so." Lleu was constantly waving to passerby. Everyone in the city seemed ultra-friendly towards him...apparently, those who were creeped out eventually got over it. He fidgeted, suddenly, and glanced back towards the tallest building in the city, which was made out of parts of sunken ships and crashed planes...among other things. "Oh. Morty is wondering where I went."

Léan didn't ask. He rested his head on Glory's shoulder, relaxing a bit.

"Okay...?" Glory replied. It didn't really mean anything to her, so she didn't really know how to respond. She cuddled a bit closer to Léan when he laid his head on her shoulder. She liked being close to him.

Lleu stared absently at the building for a moment longer. "...Did I space out?" he blurted out, suddenly. "I apologize. I've been doing that quite a lot, lately. My mate is very, very sick, and I'm worried about him."

"I would think you're allowed to space out over that," Glory said. "Nothing's keeping you here, if you want to head back, you know."

"Will you be fine on your own?" Lleu asked, as he absently waved to another group of passerby. His mate--presumably the 'Morty' he had mentioned earlier--was indeed waiting for him.

"We can manage, I think," Glory replied.

"Farewell, for now." Lleu turned and swiftly swam towards the odd-looking building to tend to his gravely ill mate.

A great deal of weight slipped off of Léan's shoulders. "...He...very much scares me. I didn't think he would be quite that creepy," he commented, idly.

"Oh good, I'm not the only one who thought so," Glory replied, relieved as well. "That just wasn't right."

"I think I might like to have that ability...but...not permanently. I mean, imagine the things he knows about other people that he just doesn't want to know..." Léan shuddered.

"No thanks," Glory replied. "I rather like my thoughts staying mine, and I know there are some people whose thoughts I'd rather not hear, at all."

Léan nodded, thoughtfully. Then, he shifted where he floated, chewing his lip. "I wonder what's wrong with his mate. Sickness isn't common in our world. We do get, as you humans call it, cancer...but that is our only main ailment...other than, of course, broken bones. Most abnormal sickness is caused by human-made pollution and waste-dumping..."

"I don't know," Glory replied. "I was actually wondering the same thing."
