So long as you have an open line of communication and are both decently open minded the experiences you get from one partner in a long term relationship can actually be even better than what you could learn from multiple partners. Cause I mean, you've already seen each others best and worst features and personality points, so you can just be comfortable with each other and try new things without constantly being afraid they're judging you for it.

It occurs to me that our anniversary is in February. We will have been together for two years, and courting each other for... three years? I think the only reason we didn't break down and maul each other in those three years is because she was dating this guy from her high school. She didn't even call him her boyfriend. He was her "boy-thing." I was EXTREMELY jealous like OMG. And then as soon as they broke up I was like.... "O_O" and she was all "DATE ME!" And I'm all "FUCK YES!"

I think I'm going to propose on our anniversary. Because effectively, we've been dating for five years. And in other states, that put us at "common law marriage." And there's only a VERY small part of me that thinks she would refuse. xD
