Please take good care of her. Before you saddle her up and in the evenings, check her over for cuts. She has a habit of hurting herself or getting picked on. If she does, water treatments for 5-10 minutes depending on how deep it is. If there is pus, then 15 minutes.

And please, please make her lead. She is capable of it if she knows the other horses are around. And Skimmer is a great horse. He is just super playful and doesn't realize his own strength.

I used to work up in the horse barn... I'm the one who worked with Peanut (she is blind, but young and sturdy) and cared for the injured horses. The only problem is I am afraid of them, and get irritated at stupid kids, and don't have the heat well, and have asthma, and am in another country :(

I will look for cuts and make her lead. She will be just fine, I promise. I will even put up pictures so you can see.

I really do love horses, but they are so big that I am afraid of getting hurt. I care for them and when I am brave (or self-destructive) I can train them.

When we rode in a thunderstorm, I rather be on Peanut. She listens to and respects me. I am not afraid to be around her unless we are near steep hills, ditches, or cliffs. Other horses bolt at the first sign of thunder.

I am totally terrified of horses. I worked with them JUUUUST enough to pass my anatomy horse palpation exam.

I find them sweet and all. but been bite once two many and bucked off thrice too many and rolled on once too many. And no one ever remembers me getting hurt. No one remembers the broken tail bone. No one remembers the huge bruise on my leg. No one remembers me losing my glasses. They just seem to think that I am afraid for nothing.

Psh. I haven't ever even been hurt by a horse. They're just freaking terrifying. They're huge, they're easily startled, they kick, bite, throw people off. They can crush you. AAAAANNNNNNNDDDD, depending on they horse, they can freak out for now apparent reason and do those things to you.

Every horse vet I know has had broken ribs and a concussion or two.

Horses are just scary. I much prefer carnivores, because they have lots of cues.
