My best friend volunteers at an animal shelter where she works with cats. My mom got excited at the idea of my doing it as well and I would love to but we have not gone there yet.

We used to have a cat but my mom got too allergic so we had to give him up. We are more into the idea of having a dog now.

Kirin: you are lucky. I grew up afraid of them; my mom thinks its because of when I was a baby and my dad's parents great dane jumped on me. But one day years ago in lake tahoe with my friends, I randomly pet my friend's dog without fear and I have been comfortable around them ever since.

I am the opposite I prefer big dogs. Little dogs are jumpy and I still get nervous with jumping, and they are just annoying.
