Iro, that looks awesome! :eager:
Von~ d'aww cute!
Guys, I'm going to drop this link in here because... I like it. xD
iScribble.net - Draw - Chat - Gallery
Anyway, you go there, click "Start Drawing" and you can enter as a guest if you just want to watch. But I think it's a pretty fun site to watch lots of different styles and techniques as they're happening.
As well as join in if you wanted~

LOLL! Are you kidding me? He looked so much better without the eyes! I swear :/
Yup. That's the situation with me. I keep drawing chibis because I know how they will turn out. Thus, losing my chances to practice normal scaled art :/
But thank you again >ω<

Actually, I always line the face first, put in the eyes last. Which is why I'm always not content with the eyes :/ *sigh*

Greetings MAUL, I've come to ask anyone here on advice on the construction of an Art Request thread because I've never done one before and I'm not exactly how to go about doing it and such and what kind of information I should include in my thread or what not, and all of you being artists in some form I figured you'd all have some kind of input ^^;

I've got to head to bed. It's past 2am and my eyes can't remain open much longer. xD
@Cora Lorington:
Thank you, Cora!
:lol:
It would be great to have you here, all the same!
@Ikuto Akihiko:
Yay! :eager:
I think I have an iScribble account, but I can't remember. xD
@Brilliance:
Personally, I think the eyes you draw are what makes your pieces. :3
I was doing that at one point, drawing chibis and nothing else. But it was doing my art depressions years, and I thankfully got out of it.
Ero Iro? You're probably the 2nd one in my 3 years of using this name to mention it first before me. xD
@Tierael:
Hello again, Tierael!
It depends on how precise you would like your characters drawn. As an art requester, I tend to put in a lot of extra details (in words) with image references.
As an artist looking to draw characters, the most important thing for me are visual references. I like to read small excerpts of the character's background and personality too, so I could get an idea of how to draw them. But I know there are some artists who hate reading and would prefer just images as references.

@Von: Haha. I don't really have a set way. Oh!
I think usually I either leave lining the eyes blank, or the irises and such blank and then by that time I don't like them. xP
D:! What email?
Lmao, at least it's not ero...
-waves to Tie- Hope you get some help! You could browse around the other threads there too.
@Cora: Yess. :gonk: Glad I'm not the only one. Haha.
@Iro: Haha. xDD I do, but I don't do anything aside from watch people it seems.

@Ase (HA)
LOL. tbh, I never have a set-eye-style. I keep just draw whatever I feel like the shape is right. Something I end up with those huge sailor-moon like eyes. Something smaller ones.
Gah, I'm in art depression for sure :/ I just hope I don't get worse. I'm planning on buying some more books to give me inspiration. The lessons I'm taking right now are not all that helpful to me.
Well, probably... because Japanese was my first language, plus, I'm perverted? LOLOL

That's not a bad thing, Aaron.
I hope you'll get out of your slump soon, though. What kind of lessons are you taking?

@Brilliance:
I think anatomy sketch lessons are pretty good, actually, to strengthen the basics and what not.
Water colour, though.... :lol:
See you, Aaron!
I need to sleep too. I need to get up in 4 hours. Good night!

Ah I see, I have a couple visual references but most of it is written description and I tend to highlight her more important traits though considering she's under developed at the moment as far as her core personality and traits come but I think that until I see her come to life she's going to stay at this impass for now. Though I've always been a bit worried about kinda throwing her out into the open for all to see. In any case thanks for the advice I'll take it into consideration as I work on my thread.

If you are lucky, Tierael, you might find artists who could work with word references. I have done a few of that.
I suggest just putting them up so if any artist who comes across your thread by chance might want to try drawing them out.
I understand being worried about putting them all up, I had the same worries when I first set up my OC art request thread. The good thing is that the community here is not so large and chaotic that people might... borrow things.
You're welcome and good luck! :)
@Ikuto:

I think I get your gist though... :ninja:

It's nice to know someone who's been in the same situation before and all. I'll have to take some time getting my thread organized and all. Anyway have a good night and thanks again for the input it was rather helpful. XP
