Virsat really wasn't sure how he had felt when EJ left the room. There had been a look of sadness, it caused all of Virsat's fierceness melt away. He hugged Jaden close, nuzzling against him and saying absolutely nothing for a few moments. He wanted to go after EJ, but he was sure there were still humans down there, and no amount of freedom could make Virsat unafraid of humans. He clung to Jaden, frowning deeply. "..I...I did nothing wrong!" He said the words with conviction.

Angil was confused. The voice sounded like it was right next to her. She thought for a moment but was brought back to this world by Desmond's words. She could also hear some fighting in another room and a man walking angrily out. Um, sure. I have rested long enough and I am actually kind of hungry. She smiled lightly and headed off towards the bar.

EJ looked up at the woman, his brows narrowed. He called for Yuuichi and this woman appears. Slightly annoyed he gave into her request. I'm sorry M'lady. Could I have a drink please? I could really use one. He lowered his head and sulked a little.

As suddenly as Virsat’s urge to fight back had come it disappeared. Darn, Jaden had liked that fiery side of Virsat then again he liked all of the different sides of Virsat he’d seen so far. How could he not? He thought the shy and scared out of its wits side was adorable, he loved the sexy side of Virsat, and he very much admired the vampires sudden ability to stand up for himself when he needed it most-and Jaden failed to do it. Yes he’d been a little too caught up with defending himself to defend the other person in the room but he had a feeling there’d be another time when Virsat needed his help and he’d be there to help in anyway he could. Without any demands for a price, and until that time arrived he’d content himself with getting to know more about Virsat. Hearing the other speaking up after several long moments of silence, Jaden gave him a warm reassuring hug. ”I know, you didn’t do anything wrong. You stood up for yourself. There’s nothing wrong with that.” he murmured softly as he pressed a soft kiss to the vampire’s forehead.

Rue tapped her fingers on the bar waiting paitently for him to meet her simple demand. When he finally did she gave him a radiant smile as she straightened up. ”I’m not your lady or anyone elses. If you need something to refer to me as you can call me Rue. I’ll accept Miss but I refuse to be called ma’am. What can I get your Mr.?” she asked giving him a saucy smile before she seemed to take in his appearance. Oh wow…he did look sorry. She wasn’t being mean, she was just being honest. He looked..well sorry was the only word for it. ”I agree, you definitely look like you could use one…or more. Sometimes one isn’t enough.” she explained with a soft shrug of her shoulders as she waited for him to tell her what kind of drink he’d prefer.

EJ laughed a little. Sorry, old habits die hard. I think ill just get a shot of blue label. A couple of those usually does the trick. His spirits lifted a little being around other people helped. Also, I'm not sure if you can help with this but I will also need another room. You can keep it on my tab, but another has claimed it. He sighed and thought about what happened. Why did he care so much. Its not like he really had room to talk about who you should or shouldn't choose as bed partners. I mean just acouple of days ago he had two girls in his bed and he doesn't even remember their names. But then again the alcohol didn't help with that either.

Desmond smiled and followed after the girl to the bar, and saw Rue giving her sassy attitude to him. He enjoyed working with Rue, she was the slight comic reliefe in his day and he tried to be hers. "So Missy what to you want to eat?" He asked Angil as he motioned over to the kitchen. He was pretty good with cooking.

That wasn't exactly what Virsat had meant when he said he'd done nothing wrong. He'd mostly been talking about the sex. EJ shouldn't have gotten mad about it. With a slight sigh, Virsat kissed Jaden on the cheek softly and let his arms fall from the cat. Slowly he slid out of bed and looked for his pants. Finding them he slipped them on, then his long white button down shirt. He didn't bother buttoning it. "I should go apologize to him.." Virsat was frowning. He didn't really want to go downstairs. Too many humans.

(( Hope you don't mind me barging in. If you do, please let me know, and I'll edit the post. :) ))

Nala stepped back into the tavern, pulling on a large trenchcoat to warm herself. She wiped her eyes and walked over to the bar, not caring that her hair was soaking wet. "Excuse me, Ma'am? Are there any rooms left?" She smiled warmly."I'd like to fix this and hopefully get a good nights rest." She pointed to her knotted hair, a small giggle escaping her lips. "Oh, and may I have a glass of water, please?" Nollie dug deep into her pockets, pulling out enough money to cover her drink and room for the night. She edged over to the end of the bar and sat in one of the stools, mindlessly staring toward the door. "There's no rush." She added with a small smile.

Angil tilted her head at the sight of the new person. She had yet to meet the man and he seemed quite sad, however her hunger won over her wanting to comfort him. She looked at Desmond with her finger to her chin. I think I would like some taco's I believe we still have some shells from last time. Do you want me to help with anything? She smiled brightly. Her tummy rumbling at the thought of tacos.

Rue’s lips curved up in a soft smile as she got a chuckle from her customer. That was more like it. She could handle a grump here and there but they weren’t her favorite type, if anything they clashed with her horribly if only for the fact that they refused to laugh. This guy didn’t seem to have that problem. Unlike the usual grump he seemed to want to be cheered up. She gave him a warm smile as she got his drink for him and set it in front of him making sure to keep his poison of choice on hand. ”Just a couple? I take it you handle your liquor fairly well then?” she asked curiously. She wasn’t being nosy so much as making general conversation. ”I’d drink a shot with you but I’ve heard that’s not proper job etiquette so you’ll have to pardon me for not joining you.” she explained her lips turning up in an apologetic smile. At the mention of another room she nodded in understanding and held up the universal signal for one minute before she went off in search of Desmond so she could get another key.

Thankfully she didn’t have to look fair. When she found him she gave him a faint grin as she remembered her good natured teasing form earlier. ”Well fancy seeing you again! I figured you’d take forever and day tucking in Angil but it seems I guess wrong. Do you know if we’ve got an extra room open? If so can I have the key? Please?” she asked before looking back at the sound of someone else coming up to her bar. Her expression turned sympathetic as she took in the girls drenched appearance. ”Dang! And I thought I’d gotten caught in the worst of the storm…” she murmured with a soft shake of her head. She’d just leave Dez with task of finding room keys and she’d take care of the rest. She stepped back behind the counter and got the girl her requested glass of water before hurrying off to find the girl a towel. It wasn’t long before she was bouncing back downstairs a dry towel in hand. [b]”Sorry about the wait. So Dez, are there any rooms left?”[/]

Jaden wasn’t far behind Virsat in getting out of bed and getting dressed. He wasn’t surprised the vampire wanted to apologize, if anything he admired Virsat. He wasn’t going to apologize! He hadn’t done anything wrong either but unlike Virsat he wasn’t going to take the higher road. ”You can do that. I however refuse to apologize. I didn’t do anything wrong.” he muttered softly as he finished getting dressed. True Virsat hadn’t asked him to go downstairs with him but it was an unspoken question. There were humans downstairs and considering the others fears..well it was understood that Jaden was to go with him and protect him. ”Don’t worry. I won’t let any human hurt you.” he said reassuringly sweetly taking the vampires hand in his and squeezing gently.

Virsat hadn't asked because he assumed Jaden would say no. Afterall, Jaden and EJ didn't seem like they'd get along at all, and he hadn't wanted to drag Jaden down there while he apologized. Even though Virsat had nothing really to apologize for either. Except maybe for messing the bed. The vampire was relieved though when Jaden said he'd go down there too. Virsat didn't really expect the cat to apologize, afterall. Jaden had nothing to apologize for either. When Jaden took his hand, he smiled lightly and gave a soft squeeze. Silently Virsat turned towards the door.

His body was slightly tense as he opened the door and stepped out of it. Glancing at Jaden, for reassurance before he fully stepped into the hall to begin their way down to the main area of the Tavern.

Desmond smiled at the girl and looked up at Rue. "Yeah there in the cabinet next to the Vodka shelf." He said and took the girls hand leaving her into the kitchen. "Well if you like you can go get the taco shells from the pantry while i go heat up the meat, and cut up some of the left over veggies."

Vex awoke in the bed she had stayed in before. Had she had a bad dream? Did she dream that awful conversation with Yuuichi? Her stomach was growling, she felt weak. She sat up and her picture fell into her lap. Huh? How did that get there? She set the picture on the bed, she needed to eat. She walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. Was she allowed in here? She only needed a small snack... But something inside her refused to steal it. Is anyone in here? She asked.

Yuuichi slowly makes his way down the stairs, taking in all of the people in the common room of the tavern, a smile starting to show on his face. As soon as he looks at Desmond and Rue, he winces slightly, hoping they never heard what he said to Vexaline earlier. I really need to watch my words a little more carefully. Reaching the bottom of the stairs, he shakes his head a bit and heads over to the bar, taking the seat beside EJ. "Rue, darling, would you mind getting me a double shot of Blue Label? I would appreciate a good strong drink about now....Better yet, make that 3 double shots." He turns to look at EJ with a smirk on his face. "Sorry about the other day, my friend. Through my travels, I may be used to Vampires, but never have I been able to be kind towards hybrids. You are the first."

Desmond had had is head in the frdige looking for the meat and veggies. At the sound of another voice her startled, hitting his head on one of the shelves in the fridge. "Dangit!" He exclaimed and stood up, rubbing his head. "Oh, hello." He said with a slightly pained smile. Damn that hurt. "How can i help you?"

EJ grinned. Well one tends to be able to hold it well when you have 700 years to build a tolerance. He took the shot and slammed it on the bar. He turned to look at the girl who walked in. Hi there. He handled her hair. This is quite a mess. Why on earth were you walking out in such storm. He couldnt really say much he was out in it not too long ago as well. That then reminded him of the rest of his clothing. He sighed annoyed that he would have to go out and get it. If he was human the chill from only being in his pants would have reminded him. But alas, he wasnt and frankly he was comfortable this way. He overheard in the kitchen the male mentioned something about letting the elvin girl helping with preparing food. Dont let her around any sharp objects, she has a tenancy to cut herself. He shouted jokingly. The whiskey starting to loosen him up a bit. Yuuichi sat next to him and he let out a light laugh. No worries. Its understandable. I wouldnt trust me either at first if I was on the outside.

Angil smiled and nodded and headed to find the shells. She pouted when the man outside made his comment. That only happened one time. she said but not quite loud enough to reach the bar. She continued to gather the shells and took them over to the counter top. You want me to warm up the oven to crisp the shells?

I'm starving replied Vex, noticing she'd startled him. Can I help you? She asked, feeling a little embarrassed of the way she had acted towards him when she first came into the Tavern, she wondered if he hated her the way everyone else seemed to. The room was spinning again. I feel... weak... she grabbed onto a counter. What was happening to her? Was all of her bad Karma finally coming back to get her? She needed help, but was too hard headed to ask. She tried to stand straight again like nothing was wrong. She smiled at Desmond hoping he haden't noticed, although, there seemed to be four of him...

Yuuichi rolls his eyes at EJ's remark about Angil and sharp objects. "Oh if only you knew....I swear, when she first started travelling with me, I dang near had to child proof every place we stayed. That one, I don't get how, but she can hurt herself on anything, almost like tripping on air." He starts laughing heavily a bit before yelling out to the kitchen. "Desmond, keep a close eye on Angil, knowing her, she will find a way to hurt herself heating the oven." He closes his eyes and stretches a bit, the reason for his apology starting to come back. "I'm sorry EJ, but I think you misunderstand my apology. I'm not saying sorry for the way I treated you this time. I'm saying that I am sorry for treating you in a manner and acting like I was nothing like you. After all, a Kitsune is merely a demon fox."

Nollie took the towel from the woman with a small thank you. She began wringing her hair out with the towel and wiping off the excess water from her hands. "Um, hello?" She shot the man, who had an odd lack of clothing, a wary look. "I just needed some fresh air. It's no big deal." She took a small sip of her water before returning to drying her hair. Nollie yawned softly, the fatigue finally getting to her. She waited eagerly for her key to arrive.

Angil poked her head out of the kitchen. Dont make me kick you in the face Yuu-kun. I may be clumsy but usually I learn after the first time. This was mostly true. She often has a tendency to harm herself one way or another. Why do they talk to you like some child. You are stronger than that. The voice called out to her again, fear in her eyes. Who, who is that? Dont worry about that honey. I just want you to become your full potential. The voice disappeared from her mind. This time she could feel it. What was that? With a worried look she returned back to the kitchen.

EJ grinned at the girls response. Dont worry. I wont harm you. Not really in the mood. EJ turned his attention back to Yuuichi. Eh, thats over now. He sighed. I could use another shot though. When Angil popped her head out, it bothered him when she had a sudden look of fear. He tiled her and eyed her carefully. You sure do have an interesting charge Yuuichi.

"Oh if only you knew...There are things about her I'm still figuring out myself. None of which I'm pleased about. Damned Elves....always, always, making me do the hard work for them while they sit in their dainty little homes like nothing is wrong." He growls a bit contemptuously as he stands up and goes around the bar, pouring several shots of Blue Label for him and EJ. He places two double shots in front of EJ, and leaves two for himself. "Can't say its too bad though. Odds are they would just screw up their work anyway once it gets hard. They love running away from problems a bit too much if you ask me." He throws back his double shots, one after the other and wipes the little remaining off his top lip.

The place is really starting to fill up there was new people, and even people she had seen before but everyone had seemed to pick now to congregate in the common area. Yuuichi had taken the girl to her room and after he left the place had slowly started to fill up. A little uncomfortable with all the people Kiya had faded out into the background shifting into her natural form and hiding under the table. Everyone looked nice enough but so noisy it was like everyone was talking all at once. And they were everywhere in the common area, in the rooms, over in the kitchen it felt like everywhere she turned there was someone there. They are everywhere she thought backing up farther under the table, I'll just hang out here

Jaden couldn’t help but feel a little bad for Virsat. Who couldn’t feel bad for him? He was terrified of humans and yet he was going downstairs into a place that was no doubt filled with its fair share of them and it was all so he could apologize to a guy that didn’t deserve said apology. Jaden might not have been a perfect saint but he did know when and if a situation called on him to apologize. For th emost part anyway, right now though wasn’t a time for him to apologize and it certainly wasn’t a time for Virsat apologize. So what if the vampire had relaxed some and finally did something fun? Just who did that other guy think he was? Virsat’s protector? Or his master? He didn’t really see the jerk fitting into either of those roles. The first because he’d screwed up royally in the protection department. Honestly if someone came to you needing protection of some sort it wasn’t because they wanted to pay another person’s twisted idea of a fair price…Speaking of which what exactly was that damned price? He’d asked earlier but Virsat hadn’t answered him. It might have been because they were busy doing other things…or those other things might have been because Virsat wanted to avoid the topic of the price.

Before they reached the end of the hallway Jaden gently tugged back on Virsat’s hand his brow furrowed slightly. ”Wait…earlier I asked what the price was for E.J’s services. You didn’t answer me. It wasn’t really important then but it might be now. Is he still going to make you pay that price for his protection? Call me crazy but he doesn’t seem the type to just end a bargain without collecting his dues.” he pointed out with a wary expression.

Rue smiled warmly as Desmond told her where she could find the keys. ”Thank you..oh! And don’t forget to save me some tacos. I keep hearing Angil babble on about your wonderful cooking skills but I’ve yet to judge that. I bet you she’s just being nice.” she teased letting a soft laugh escape to soften her words before she went to get the keys out of their hiding spot. Expertly she plucked two keys for two empty rooms off the ring and out the key ring back where it belonged before heading back towards the customers an apologetic smile gracing her slips as she placed one key in front of the girl and another in front of the male. ”Alright, here you go. I hope you enjoy your stay here. Well…I hope your stay gets better.” she clarified sending an appreciative look towards the other male. Hey there was nothing wrong with admiring the scenery every now and then. She knew her place at work and she’d do her job but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t take a few peaks here and there. Although right now she didn’t want to peak, she wouldn’t mind staring at him for a while-she was jerked out of her wandering thoughts at the sound of Yuuichi speaking to her and then growing impatient, taking care of his request himself. ”Sorry Yuuichi, I was a little distracted.” she explained having the good grace look apologetic. And she was! She hadn’t planned on getting that wrapped up in just looking at the guy. It wasn’t she’d like she’d do anything more than look anyway.

She stood there for a minutes listening in on the others conversation. Actually she was listening to Yuuichi. Was it just her or did her boss seem in a bit a fowl mood today? He wasn’t usually like this…She stood there a few moments debating what to do. She could stay and listen to him talk but then she’d have to worry about shooting off her own smart mouth. Actually she wasn’t worried about that so much as the consequences it would bring. She’d lost more than her fair share of jobs because of her disrespectful attitude(read: sassy). Unlike her other jobs though she actually liked this one and she didn’t want to lose it. So she’d just go help in the kitchen or something useful like that. ”Well it seems like you guys are good. I’m going to help Des and Angil in the kitchen. If you need me just give me a shout. Oh and don’t forget to say please.” she tossed a teasing grin over her shoulder letting her eyes skim over E.J’s shirtless figure before she walked into the kitchen her hips swaying softly from side to side. Stepping into the kitchen, she accidentally bumped into someone her hands automatically reaching out and taking a firm grip on the girl arms. Her grip tightened some hearing the girl murmur something about feeling weak. ”Oh dear…I’ll tolerate that on condition: You’re not feeling weak at the knees because of Desmond are you?” she asked a soft chuckle escaping before she forced herself to turn serious. There was a time for joking but now wasn’t it. Seriously a girl fainting from unknown reasons wasn’t funny. Staying serious, she looked over the girl her brow furrowed softly in thought. She didn’t see any wounds. Maybe the girl had a fever? After placing a cool hand against the girl’s forehead she shook her head. Nope she didn’t have a fever but she did look awfully skinny-ah! That’s what it was. She was starving. ”When was the last time you ate? You look like you haven’t eaten in days…” she said her voice taking on chastising tone.

There was no ignoring the feeling of terror welling up inside of Sofia as the tavern slowly started to fill up with more people. She tried to ignore the warning bells going off inside her head each time the door opened and another person entered. But she couldn’t. No matter what she tried, she couldn’t ignore the mounting terror she felt. She bit back a soft squeak as someone stepped in and took the open stool beside. Trembling she hurriedly scrambled down off her stool and looked about the room that was steadily becoming even fuller. Was it just her or did it seem kind of noisy in here? Wrapping her arms around herself she walked towards empty table placed near a window and sat there allowing herself to look outside. At least with this seat she could see if someone was coming-she almost screamed when she felt something warm and furry skates across the top of her foot. It wasn’t until she looked down and noticed that it was a soft fluffy looking tail that her curiosity got the best of her. It wasn’t a mouse or a rat. It almost looked like a fox’s tail…Glancing up she noticed Yuuichi was still at the bar. Ok so it wasn’t the owner trying to fool her with his shifting. So what was it? Nervously biting her lower lip she got out of her seat and dropped down in front of the table hesitantly letting her gaze rove over the dark murky surroundings under the table before she found the owner of the tail. It was another fox…and it looked so scared. Almost as scared as she felt. ”Hello there..” she murmured softly hesitantly extending her hand out to the fox and waiting to see what it’d do. Dimly the thought crossed her mind that it might be another shapeshifter like Yuuichi or worse a male trying to trick her but she didn’t pay attention to any of those thoughts. Like any girl she was sucked in by the cute cuddliness of an animal in need.

So many people... to many she had to get out of here, had to hide the table wasn't a very good spot someone could step on her or at the very least accidentally kick her. She was going to have to make a break for it, maybe run through the kitchens and out the back door, or maybe into one of the rooms hide under the bed. At least until all the hubbub died down. It would probably work better if she was in human form, no chance of getting knocked around then, but strangely she didn't want to, she wanted to stay out of sight hidden. Crowds of people really weren't for her, they made her flighty and uncomfortable, her who was more used to the solitude the woods presented. She was about to make a break for it when suddenly a large figure blocked out the light, startled the little fox backed up further until her rump hit the wall, she felt cornered and let out a little growl of warning. The smell was unfamiliar as was the voice, but something about the girl told Kiya she wouldn't hurt her, a hand came forward invading her space, but it wasn't threatening. Sniffing the hand cautiously still weary of the girl Kiya took a few steps closer nosing her hand lightly. When she made no move to hurt her, the little fox became a bit more bold nuzzling the hand and rubbing against it. Oddly she was comforted by the woman's scent by the voice that sounded timid and scared. Maybe she doesn't like all the people either

Desmond nodded to Angil and placed the ingredients on the counter. To the woman who had walked in he chuckled. "No I'm fine, but im making food now if you care to sit down." As he turned to smile at her he noticed the woman gripping the countertop and Rue helping keep her up. "Are you okay?" He asked, his brow furrowed in worry. At the comment from Rue Desmond smirked, it wasn't Desmond that usually made their customers weak in the knees.

Sofia shifted slightly allowing some light to slide under the table at the warning growl so the tiny animal could have a better look at the person trying to approach it. Even though Sofia was frightened by the low warning growl she didn’t move her hand back. She stayed still her green eyes watching the animal and waiting patiently for it to relax. At least...she hoped it would relax. It didn’t look feral and it didn’t look like it had been mistreated but then again some wounds weren’t always physical or on the outside for people to see, how could she not know that considering she had a fair share of physical and mental wounds? ”I’m not going to hurt you…” she murmured softly timidly extending her hand just a bit more in the foxes direction. Her eyes widened as the fox slowly crept forward its cool nose gently rubbing against her hand before becoming bolder in its movements. For a brief moment Sofia’s face lit up in a happy smile but as quickly the smile has came it was replace dby a look out outright fear as a passing stranger reached out fondling her unprotected backside. Blushing brightly Sofia didn’t hesitate a moment before her tiny figure was tucked securely up under the table near the fox a soft tremble racking through her. Still trembling she ran her hand through the foxes soft fur trying to keep herself from sliding into the mother of all meltdowns. ’Its ok…nothing happened. He didn’t hurt me. He just walked by and he touched me but still. I’m fine…but I think I’ll just stay under here for a while.’ she thought sending up a quick prayer to whoever had blessed her with small figure. Turned out being small did have some benefits…
