good colors to have 'nods' i bounce through the color system..

I have a drawer for every color so far, plus separate drawers for contribution items and event items.

Nice star has a EI drawer and a CI drawer 'nods' plus one for tops, skirts and pants, and so forth so on 'nods'

Oh, that could work too. Separated by item type. Ah, well, I usually focus themes on colors rather than a particular item, so, I'll stick with my color drawers. Unless that becomes too much of a pain. Then I might switch again :P

I also tried to separate my items by type, but I haven't gotten too specific just yet.
What do you two do for items that fit into two different categories?

I have EIs for each year, one drawer of CIs, a main drawer for commons, a red drawer because I own too many red commons, a special drawer for npc items and random things, and then a donations drawer for things I would be willing to donate to people XD

Depends on the color of the thumbnail. If the item has both green and red use, I'll go by the thumbnail. If the image is mostly red, it'll go in the red drawer. Or, for whatever color I use most of that item. I used to go by year of the CI/EI, but there was only a few items in each drawer then, so I just pooled them together.

I have a drawer for all things that are a multi, a drawer for things I have extra of and can give away, a drawer for broken things, and then a drawer for: footwear, socks/tights, pants, skirts, undergarments/belts, tops, sleeves/scarf, cape/coat, jewelry/head, and finally misc :D

huh well if its a 'top' body item and it looks like a top it goes in the top drawer if its skirts/pants it goes in that drawer, if its a foot wear item, stockings/tights/socks/shoes/etc. it goes int hat drawer, if its a 'accesorie' it goes in those drawers.

That is one way to do it :D
