Alexis shrugged. "I don't know. We've got a bit of time before dinner, but I don't know what Autumn wants to do." She checked her phone absently before going to sit on the bed, motioning for him to make himself comfortable.

Clint promptly perched on the arm of the couch.

"Well, it could be worse," he said, grinning. "We could have brought the others too."

"Then I would really be jumping off the nearest cliff," Alexis said, her voice dry. "Really, just you two is bad enough. Do you know how much publicity damage control I'm going to have to do when we get back?"

"Not as much as you could have," Clint pointed out, grinning. "Come on, you know what would happen if Thor was here, or Cap, even."

"Yeah, I know. I'll be surprised if Tony makes it more than a few days outside his comfort city without talking to people or crashing a party or something." Alexis rolled her eyes.

Clint snickered.

"I'm not taking that kind of bet," he said, grinning. "It's a given, practically."

Alexis just snorted and shook her head, pulling out her phone when it vibrated at her.

Dinner in 45. I got rooms for Birdbrain and I, I'll give him the key at dinner.

"So apparently you've got a room now."

"Surprised it took him so long," Clint said, grinning a bit. "The receptionist at the desk must not have been responding to the flirting."

"Thank god some people are immune," Alexis said, rolling her eyes. "And dinner is in almost an hour, so you can go ahead and use my bathroom if you need to."

"Awesome, thanks," Clint said, giving her a thumbs-up. "Ask him where he got reservations, it's probably somewhere expensive."

"Probably." But Alexis texted him anyway, waiting for the response to tell Clint. "Yeah, some fancy-shmancy place. He said dress nice. Did you even bring anything nice?"

Clint actually had to think about that for a minute.

"Nope," he said. "I'll see if Tony has something I can steal."

Alexis snorted. "Well, bother him," she said, rolling her eyes. "And use your phone, I'm not giving you my phone."

"You're no fun," Clint said, pulling out his phone. He texted Tony quickly about a suit to wear.

Tony texted back something vaguely affirmative, along with a few choice swear words.

"No, I just know you too well." Alexis snorted at him.

Clint texted a smiley back to Tony and grinned at Alexis.

"It's not like I'm Tony," he pointed out. "Or Thor or Cap. Your phone is safe with me."

"Up until you change all the names of my contacts so I don't have a clue who's calling me," Alexis said dryly.

"That was once because I was bored," Clint protested. "And Phil was amused."

"You are damn lucky it's Phil who called me and not any of the others," Alexis grumbled. "Although if you behave I might give you a present."

"You always promise presents," Clint said. "I have yet to see any of them nd I've been the picture of good behavior." He grinned cheekily.

"I do not always promise presents," Alexis said indignantly. "And maybe the fact that you have yet to see them should tell you something."

Clint just grinned and settled on the couch, still occasionally texting Tony to bother him.

Alexis had to pull out a dress for the night, and she vanished into the bathroom to get ready a little while later. After all, there wasn't anything in her room that Clint could really get into trouble with.

That was about the point that Clint disappeared to find Tony and get a suit from him. He hadn't been kidding when he said he didn't have one. He left Alexis a text to tell her where he went, just in case.

Half an hour later found them all at a restaurant, Clint in the borrowed suit and the girls dressed up as well. Tony took the seat across from Alexis with a brief grin while she just rolled her eyes at him.
