I haven't seen any of the original so I can only go off the new Doctors. I do like all of the Doctors so far but I kind of think the 9th one is the coolest. :( I was super sad when they split up the Dc and Rose
yea I think that whole part was kind of sad it kind of seemed to me like Rose was kind of using him. They were dating before the Dr came around but she kind of forgot about him after she started hanging out with the Dr. It seemed like she was stringing him along.
Remind you of anyone? *cough*Amy*cough* Though I'm glad Rory has proven to be much more than the tin dog, much quicker than Mickey did. I was also really glad that when we see Mickey much later, he's really grown as a character and become much more badass. :3
But Mickey was dating someone else. I think that kinda upset Rose because she still loved Mickey. That was the episode with the slitheen trying to destroy earth. Mickey was always kinda jealous with the doctor.
You have to remember that Rose was only 19 when she first started traveling with the Doctor- you can't expect a 19 year old to have a mature understanding of a relationship.
Also, Mickey did end up with someone in the end anyway.
SpoilerX
In the last episode with the 10th Doctor, he and Martha were married. I really liked how the 10th Doctor meddled in all his companions lives at the end.
Rose was kind of an immature character but sometimes I feel as if we really can't blame her because she was pretty young, anyway. She lived a pretty commonplace life, with dropping out of school, working in a shop, and having boyfriends. She wasn't a doctor like Martha and she certainly didn't have the high self esteem that Donna and Amy both seem to have. I can relate to Rose in a lot of ways when I think of my own teenage insecurities. And if someone had swooped out of the sky and whisked me off on adventures when I was 19, I would have been as starry-eyed as she was.
I like how Rose grew up and matured through the series. In the same way that she helped the Doctor, I think the Doctor helped her as well. They both benefited from each other- she helped him through his war trauma and he helped her mature with her eyes open to the universe.
LonelyOtaku, please remember that if you post spoilers, you can put them in spoiler tags so that people don't accidentally read them. I know that personally I tend to keep reading, even after I see the words "spoiler alert". It's like I can't stop my eyes from continuing to read, especially if the spoilers are in the same line of text. haha.
If you don't know how to make spoiler tags, they look like this:
:pokes head in: Hi everyone. I kinda stumbled on this thread's event forum thread and liked it. So I thought I'd pop on in and say hi :waves: how is everyone tonight??
According to this post, he has the powers to turn lesbians straight, and I think he just turned my boyfriend gay.
Also, here's some cool fanart.
Actually, if any of you have tumblrs, you might want to just follow me because roughly 40% of my posts are Doctor Who stuff. 40% of that 40% is Tennantface.
Well, I'm asexual, and seing David Tennant like that... with that smile... if he was around in person... I might just somehow level up into a sexual being >.>
I have the feeling if Captain Jack Harkness was around he would be able to ellicit the same effect. It's a good thing I don't know anybody like that in real life because it would be AWKWARD. After all, I'm a (nine hundred and)twenty six year old virgin.
