Daniel's hair is currently much too long to do either, unfortunately. It's a bit past his chin. It's pretty glorious, but not good for Doctor dress ups. Which is probably for the best because otherwise I'd start dragging him to conventions. I'd hide all his clothes and replace them with a brown pinstriped suit.
I could probably pull off an eleven cosplay seeing as he's the youngest looking (and apparently he's quite short in person too, so I've heard, and television magic makes him seem taller/not so short).
I'm also glad that Rory is so much more better and useful than Mickey, the human tin dog. I never cared much for him... yet the Doctor trusts Rory enough to help him work on the TARDIS (as long as he doesn't get distracted by Amy's skirt plus glass floor...)
I think it was hard to like Mickey because they wouldn't let you like him. He never did anything bad or acted in any way that was particularly annoying, but they wrote characters reacting to him as if he was a pariah. I know I've talked about this too much, but I really hated how they treated Mickey. Blah blah almost did that with Rory blah blah glad they stopped blah blah punching Hitler now blah blah yay.
Ok I really liked mickey in the cybermen episode. Plus he was like the doctors super useful tech junkie. Seriously even with the slitheen he was smart enough to hack the rocket and reguide it to downing street.
Mickey got more and more useful as the show went on. I think he really turned a new leaf/found the opportunity in his lifetime when he decided to stay in the parallel dimension.
I did warm up to him ever so slightly when Nine, Rose, Captain Jack, and Mickey were all sitting around talking during the refueling, before Nine saw the newspaper headline. I thought that was a very quaint and light-hearted scene given all the explosions, near-end-of-the earth, and running for their lives the main characters tend to do.
My thoughts then turn to Jack. The Jack we first got to know, how he made the "Whatever" with his fingers in response to Mickey commenting if he was Captain of the "innuendo squad", and how he loved to tell stories...
I can't see Torchwood's Captain Jack Harkness...X
After living through two world wars and other minor wars and in service to Torchwood for a century being so light-hearted. He still has a sense of humour, but no silly hand gestures, and his past is always some great secret always given to us little piece by little piece, some of which we know from Doctor Who, some of which is new. I think it's sad that he can't talk openly and laugh about the better of his stories anymore... it's a bit depressing.
I agree with Crow, Mickey became a whole lot more useful after he spent time in the alternate dimension. I think it forced him to grow up when he replaced his alternate self. Most likely because his alternate self was really doing something and he was just lounging about as a directionless young man is want to do.
I also love Captain Jack and how he told stories.
Oh the stories he would tell...X
I like how he told the Doctor and Martha about how when he was back home how they called him the Face of Boe because he was the first person from his area to be called into the time agency. It is a running theme that Jack is the Face of Boe for the writers, though they already said they will never come right out and say it.
I didn't know that there was such a demand on the internet for Welsh Corgi and Doctor Who crossovers.
@Cherry: That latter picture... is a mindfuck. I think I'm going to go cry somewhere now. It would be easier to accept if I was drunk or something but alas, no, no, I'm not. -_-;
See this is where if anyone was around I would demand they wrap me in a comfy blanket and get me a hot chocolate. I have enough mental disordery things, and hearing Eleven's voice and intonation in my head perfectly by the time I got to the last part was NOT HELPFUL. I just took a handful of pills, I don't need to add any more to that... gyaah...
:EDIT: Congratulations, you have discovered one of my fears... that of being diagnosed with more shiznit than I already am _-_
: DOUBLE EDIT: HOLY SHITFUCK NOW I'M HEARING "I AM THE DOCTOR" PLAYING IN MY HEAD! T_T_T__T_T_T_T_T_T STUPID PICTURE!
You don't appear like you're trying to pretend to be passing as a perfectly normal human being, though. See, I have to stay on the side of the line where I don't get locked up for psychiatric inpatient care. It's been under consideration a few times and there are some people who would gladly just throw me away.
I'm also a teacher so I have to be ever so careful on what is on my closed vs open record. I sometimes have disassociation as part of my borderline where I become different roleplaying characters I've created, or I guess it could work for other characters like the doctor, but I'm not diganosed with multiple personality disorder or schizophrenia or anything...
Not completely 'random', there is usually a catalyst. I go into another persona to escape something going on with my primary persona. It's basically LARPING except I'm the only one doing it. I change my thought pattern, my speech/diction, my body guestures... the whole kit and caboodle.
Speakingofdogs Hol'up Hol'up. Someone Blew Up K9? This cannot stand! -shakes fist in fury-
K9 was amongst my favourite companions. I also like Martha.
Doctors. BAKER. nuschool? Smith. Eccelston. Followed right behind by Tennant. Poor Eccelston being whitewashed by Tennant fangirls. I always question if I'm spelling their names right. For all my opinions, I have very little knowledge of this stuff.
When I first was given medication they put me on mood stabilizers for bipolar people which did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I even have an image from where I freaked out by being abandoned by my roomates so I broke a glass bottle (of bawls), cut myself with a shard of glass, and took a picture of it, and you can see my 'medication' in the background, so no, I'm just your lovely generic Major Depressive Disorder - Moderate, among other things. I do have a life issues thread and I don't want to turn the TARDIS thread into that. :offtopic:
K-9 Volunteered to blow himself up. The Doctor said "Good Dog" and he replied "Affirmative". It was self-sacrifice. The same as the "Stand Alone Complex".
