Oh, I know I'm crazy.

...but I don't believe that we can really trap the fairies in our apartment to be put to our own use. >_____>

He could have just said "I wanna make a gingerbread house" and left it at that. -sigh-

Whatever.

Maybe he just wants to make a gingerbread house just cause they lok cool and are fun to decorate? I mean, I scoff at no ones beliefs, even though I was raised otherwise. I know that if I had been raised to believe in fairies and that they could be caught, I'd completely believe it  But I wasn't... so it's kinda... like a fairy tale to me *shrugs* Ouch... that hurt. Just got back from the gym and my shoulders hurt T^T

He... wasn't raised to believe in fairies at all. This is a rather new development. It used to be strictly eastern mysticism, and now he's migrated to fairies and... I dunno... something about it seems not genuine.

And while I believe in spirits (fairies, I suppose) I don't think that you can use them to your own cause. Its kind of... against every folklore I've ever heard.

Hehe... well i think that I like the IDEA of fairies mroe than I believe in them. (is tinker bell dying somewhere now?!) But you never really know what's out there, or in a parallel world with our own. No telling, so why not just keep your mind open for everything. It all interests me, I can't say that I'd be able to follow it religiously, per say, without chuckling at myself sometimes.

Hey swanie ^^ Whatcha readin? :D

Just a book on the Toth Tarot actually. Researching for something turned into mild fascination with this oracle system. It's quite interesting.

I have more of a problem with like... how insincere it seems. Like its a joke or something. Or an excuse not to have any sort of ethic. Because even with the amount of time I've spent talking to him about beliefs, I still don't know if he has a moral code. I mean, I'm not Christian by any means. I'm "ecclectic" like he is, but I have a very strict moral code that I live by. >>

Oooo! Tarot!

Hmm... yeah I worked with a guy who would change his religion each week, just so that he'd have some kind of reason to be late for work. Celebrating every holiday and such. He was Jedi Knight for the longest time though. I STILL want to know more about that... what they heck to they DO!?

Oooh, tarot :D

The Jedi Knights? They live by the laws as dictated by The Force, which is basically just zen with a western application.

I'm ALWAYS celebrating St. Platypus Day. I can't call off work for it anymore or I'll lose my job.

Well, the group in Men who stare at goats claimed to be Jedi warriors :-p So perhaps that works.

And teh Toth Tarot is pretty different from any of the ones I've used prior to. It's based out of the Thelema religion I've been researching for Hyena, Sweet, and I's rp. It's definitely different. They have some great sex magics in that religion though. Very intriguing. Makes me wish I could find an open minded partner to practice with, but those are sadly sparse in this area, and most of my current sporadic partners are very anti religion or spirituality of any form.

Yeah... Crowley musta been a horny old goat. 90% of what I've learned about him and thelema has to do with sex or the bond between people as exhibited by sex

While I can understand that being completely relevant to a religion (Hinduism has quite a bit of emphasis on reaching enlightnement through wanking, Dionysus had his own cult based on orgasm, and even some sects of Christianity have popped in and out of history wherein you reach God through a divine woman) I have an inherent (and completely justifiable) fear of cults. See Exhibit A: Ebbordianism.

Its not a road I would like to go down again unless I had more control over who my "Living Messiah" was.

So did I! *points at shed*

Personally I fail to see why we need to have a living messiah. Can't we all just find our connection to the powers that be in whatever manor suits us? Why do we hav eto have one set earthy embodiment of it? If we're all creations of whatever is up there, aren't we all then the living embodiment of it?

^^ You can't hide Kiara. There aren't that many people in here so it's kinda noticable when someone else comes in :P

Hmmm... did you happen to see the article about the "green blob" in space? The one that is creating new stars. Seems pretty amazing to me. What if something like that had created us. Could you imagine the bible toters then? To be created by a blob of matter. hehehehe.... cracks me up ^^

See, that's how a simple belief becomes a cult. Someone suddenly becomes the Voice of God. That's what happened to my bible study group and I was like... NO MOAR. A cult centers around a single person's take on what _____ holy text says and sucks people in with some conveniently placed buzz words and motivational speeches. I mean, money doesn't HAVE to be involved, but often times it becomes a factor... >_>
