Hey guys ^.^ Fellow Gaiatard meandering through. I was chatting (AKA: Ranting) about Gaia in the Travelers thread on Fresh Meat and got directed over here, so *waves* Hiya.

Well. I enjoy reading them, anyway.

Also - holy cow 5:30am. I only am awake then if I'm thinking about going to bed or am waking up for a flight. XD;

I always go to bed at past 5am during the weekends XDD;;
Usually it's 3 - 4am if it's during the weekdays...somehow I always end up going to bed very late/early in the morning when I have classes at 8 =__=;

I've done that too. >_>; Not really the smartest choices I ever made, sometimes. XD;

What was your favorite aspect of Gaia? Or perhaps, what makes it difficult for you guys to leave/spend less time there?

Im currently flipping my sleeping schedule around AGAIN for work =_= Generally, my week goes like this:

Saturday: 10 - 6 (Midnight Shift)
Monday: 2 - 10 (Afternoon Shift)
Wednesday: 2-10 (Afternoon Shift)
Rinse-and-Repeat

But last week I had

Friday: 2-10
Saturday: 10 - 6
Monday: 2-10

I. Was. Messed. Up.

This week was otherwise normal. I worked the Wednesday shift and I have the Saturday one - so, technically I work tonight at ten. I'm going to sleep at about 7, which will give me 11 hours sleep cause I'll sleep straight till 8, get up, eat and walk to work. Most likely arrive at 9:30

I kinda am not looking forward to this weeks schedule posting, as my one co-worker is taking 'personal days' at large recently - and I'm the one who covers for her D:

I love messing around with my avatars >_> Almost all of them are OC based. Something my friends and I often do is put on REALLY random outfits and come up with an IC reason for why the heck so and so is dressed in drag and has green hair, or whatever xDD Im hopelessly addicted to item collecting, but I'm also insanely broke, which therefore leads to a biiiit of a problem.

But in all honesty, the BIGGEST factor of why I stay on Gaia is my Guild. :| If I could move all that stuff elsewhere and get my friends elsewhere, I'd most likely leave :|

Mostly it's the items...they have some really pretty things there and I spend the majority of my time on there questing. It was fun for a while...you could chat with others in the Charities forum and make friends and all the while questing. But after some time it gets tiring, when you just couldn't get that damn item, or get it, but soon after would go on another quest. It's a vicious never-ending quest. Or maybe I'm just greedy. :roll:

Even after I decided to leave Gaia for Menewsha, I'd still probably end up back there some time or later...but I've made up my mind to strictly go back there just to check on my friends, and will not be going on another quest again. I've had enough with my life of never-ending -quests there.

My schedule's usually:

Monday: Getting up at 11:20 for my class at 12:10, going to bed at maybe around 3am.
Tuesday: Getting up at 7:30 for my class at 8:10, going to bed...maybe around 4am?
Wednesday: Sleep until I wake up, no classes. <3 Going to bed at unstable times but usually past 4am.
Thursday: Killing myself getting up at 7:30 again. Going to bed at around 3 - 4am, depending on how tired I feel at the end of the day.
Friday: Getting up at 1:30 for my classes at 2:30. Going to bed at past 5am since I have two days to sleep however much I want xD
Saturday & Sunday: Getting up at past 3pm in the afternoon and going to bed at around 5 - 6am.

Wow Fading - that sounds like how I was back when I was still in high school xDD I almost-always managed to arrange my schedule so I had no first period class >o> Sometimes being a wee bit of a teachers pet can really pay off xD;;

Before I got my job, I had -no- sleeping pattern to speak of whatsoever. One day I'm up and running like the average bear. Next thing you know I've been awake for 48 - 60 hours straight writing like a maniac and then I sleep for 24 hours straight. ((So, so bad for my body.)) Or I'll be up for 24 hours and I'll sleep for 24 hours O_o That's rare though - and I find I sleep a LOT more when I'm depressed then when I'm normal / in a writing frenzy. ((In a frenzy, sleep = NONEXISTENT in my vocabulary.))

Also - in reply to your post in 'Travelers' - I don't hang out in many of those, but I've popped through them occasionally xD I'm mostly in the Roleplay forum >o>;; And I am exactly with you on the whole day-dreaming do your own thing bit.

Invisibility is totally aquirable. Just study ferrets and rabbits - they teach us how!

Ohhh - that reminds me. Another thing I like about Gaia is the avatar art - and the fact that its so huge nowadays if you use a mule to go around and check out all the STUPID and make a comment on how STUPID it is you don't really have to worry about it biting you in the butt later - because 90% of the time people agree with you and the other 10% of the time they forget your existence xD;;

I try to not get classes that are in the first period, or any classes in the morning for that matter, but they're all mandatory classes that one must take -_-;
It's really funny how my schedule's do unbalanced...little or no classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and full schedules on Tuesday and Thursday =__= It's such a killer with my sleeping habits.

I can't stay up 24 hours straight; I'd kill myself XD Mainly because I spend it all in front of the computer, so my eyes are extremely tired and keeps me from staying up for too long. My record was 22 hours awake...any more than that and I'll crash.

I don't have much of any avatar art...I don't want to pay for them and the freebies I got were usually....er, not that good xDD;; I sometimes draw flobs for myself, but they don't last too long because I'm never satisfied with my art >_>;

I suppose Questing is really something you can easily do here, if you get together a long list of items you'd like. But at least the commons are reasonably/attainably priced and if you really put effort into it (or real life money, if you have it), it's possible to get all the items you want here... I know one of our Moderators was able to get one of every rare item and is working on getting all the commons. @_@;

And since we don't come out with 309209323 rares a year, 99% of which require money to get, it's not like you have to drop real life coin to get what you want.

Can't help you on Guilds, I'm afraid. XD That comes with getting comfortable here and convincing your friends to join. ;3

It's easy enough to make and remake avatars as you like here, due to all our hairstyles, colors, skin colors, base genders; etc are free to change. It's just the two-accounts-per-person thing that some Gaians have problems with. :'

Eee, I was looking through the import store and saw like....20 items I would really, really like. I absolutely love the items on this site. The first thing that addicted me to Mene, actually was the character art.

Actually, how a found Mene is a bit of a funny story. :|

I'm on Avaricia, where I meet this girl and become good friends with her. She's on an avatar site that is TOTALLY DYING and asks me to join it to help her keep it lively, so I do. As I'm cruising around there's a message in the feedback forum about the sites art. I read it and the person is saying they do better art then Mene - another person comes in and totally trashes them, saying they can't draw even remotely close to as well as so and so and they link to a deviantart account.

Love. Total, absolute love for every single bit of art on that account. (And for the record, the fellow trashing the other fellow was entirely correct. That person had a skill level way below the artist for this site. Dear lords...such gorgeous art here ;o; ) So then I cruise over to the links to other sites, click on Mene's and take a cruise through the site. The NPC's are sooo pretty, the clothes are divine..... Join - and hooked. xD I cannot WAIT to get enough gold for certain items. Right now Im saving up another 600 for a cloak. Then I'll have this outfit complete and will save up for some pretty Imports items *o*

I dont know why, but I've never once made a quest thread O_o

@CK: Yeah, I'm making an average of around 500g minimum a day because I insist on getting all the gold I can from the games before I sign off each night xD So I'll be able to get most of what I want from the Shops soon enough...it's the CI's that I'm more worried about because they're limited and more rare. I'll have to work hard on those, it's a nice challenge that isn't so impossible like all those Gaia stuff, and the sense of achievement is wonderful :3

I totally love how the avatars are so easy to change! I can change back and forth from male to female and go through all the hairstyles if I want to, it's awesome xD

Aw, it just takes a bit of practice xD
Tip for Tetris: Stack them really high and leave only one slot for the long block, then when you have them all high enough, drop the long block straight down the slow...it gives you around 1 - 3k in points I think. I'm always stacking them really high...but if the long block doesn't appear I die because the other blocks are stacked up too high xDD;;

I love the Fremere's Guard and Infernal Spirit, though I was kinda put off with the Infernal Spirit's last evolution...while I totally adore the black shiny armor, there were these weird...bits thing that shows up on my avatar face, which I don't want D: And the beast-skin looked nasty Dx
