google AVG Antivirus Free and grab the free version (ignore the offers to buy it) and you should be able to pick off the virus.

Hmm... well firefox has an app that auto blocks all ads so that's what I used

Not sure, but.. most of the viruses that we took out had the origin of firefox. Maybe they got in through it. x.x

Well... if that's your main browser then it's going to be the origin...
Even firefox can't protect you if you go to a malicious site
