Dean said a very bad word that should never be spoken in libraries and ignored the dirty look the librarian gave him. "Alright," he said, more quietly. "We'll try something else."

"I vote for burning and salting," Runa said. "Burn it all to the goddamn roots and salt the earth. Make it so not even grass can grow back."

"Isn't that a little extreme?" Sam asked dubiously. Runa raised an eyebrow.

"One tried to bite me."

"Not at all," Kyra translated. "Well, I know we've all got the materials for that, so why don't we head back and get ready?"

Runa nodded.

"Let's go," she said. "The sooner we can get rid of these things, the better."

It didn't take long to get the supplies to burn the plants, so all they had to do was wait for dark. Kyra ended up sitting in her room trying to read and trying to ignore Dean and Runa chatting in the next room.

Sam was sitting in the room with Kyra, just surfing the internet.

"You alright?" he asked her.

"Yup." Kyra glanced at the door between the two rooms. "Wondering if those two are going to get more serious or not."

Sam glanced at the door as well.

"Knowing Dean... It might be worth it to track down a couple pairs of earplugs," he said. "I noticed it didn't take them long at all."

"I have some earplugs with me," Kyra said. "If you need some. And I'm not surprised, given your brother's reputation and the fact that Runa is... less uptight than I am."

"Uptight?" Sam repeated. "It's not like it's a bad thing, you know. I've met a lot of women who have refused my brother."

"That's a good thing, otherwise his ego would really need popping," Kyra said dryly. Although it wasn't just Dean she was talking about.

"No kidding," Sam agreed dryly. "But anyways, it's not a bad thing to not have casual sex, really."

Kyra fidgeted a bit. "I wouldn't know," she admitted after a few moments. "Not personally, just from what Runa's told me."

Sam blinked, puzzled, and then it dawned on him.

"Never...?" he prodded cautiously.

"Never," Kyra agreed after a moment, pulling her book up in front of her face so she could hide a bit. Because she knew she was redder than a sunburned tomato.

"Hey, that's nothing to be embarassed about," Sam said. "There's nothing wrong with it."

Kyra snorted. "Except it's practically unnatural at my age," she grumbled. "I can't even say it's an angel thing, angels are almost as bad as people."

"I've heard," Sam replied. "Don't worry too much about it. It could be a lot worse."

"I suppose." Kyra set her book off to the side and double checked all her supplies. She knew they'd get going fairly soon to go burn some plants.

Sam checked his supplies as well, just in case. There had been times where he'd been short one crucial piece while on a hunt before.

By the time they were ready to go, Kyra had settled into her hunting mentality, staying calm while they drove over to the park and keeping her makeshift flamethrower in hand.

Dean was more than happy to go burn the damn plants, although he knew it would take time.

"Alright, you two take that side," Dean told Sam and Kyra, pointing at one area of plants. "We'll take this side."

Sam nodded and went over to start killing the monster plants.

Runa stayed with Dean, flamethrower in hand. She would salt the ground once the plants were burned away.

Kyra started dousing the plants with liquid to help them burn, and blinked when they shrank back a bit. Okay, so weird freaky not quite sentient plants but close enough to know when something was going on. Very strange. But she kept her container of salt next to her so she could salt after Sam finished burning things.

Dean nodded to Runa once there was a section of plants that needed burning and watched to see how well they burned.

Runa grinned and let loose with the flamethrower, making sure every plant caught and burned. She made a face when the plants let out a screech when they caught fire and she glanced uneasily at Dean.

"These are the freakiest things," she said. She paused for a moment. "I almost want to save one and send it to Hell, see what it does."

"If you really want we can," Dean said. "But I'll feel better once they're all gone." He made sure the plants were burning okay before he started tossing some salt on too. Just to see.
