Haha, I think it might partly be the editor and readers' fault too for all the plot twists...after all, plot twists usually mean more people reading it with interest and voting for it in the JUMP magazine, if Bakuman's contents hold true. :P
I got as far as the fifth shinobi war before I stopped for several months...then saw some mangled images from the manga by artists and got my curiosity perked back up, so I went back and skimmed through some of the newer chapters.
But lmfao, yeah, I totally get what you mean with the Dragon Ball thing, it just drags on and on and on! xDDD
oh, i don't think i'll just abandon gaia, i have far too much
invested into that site~ not really money, persay, but more
time and such~ i have quite a small fortune over there in
items~ i mean, it's not as friendly, but i like it for dressing up~
and for me, it's easier to get gold over there simply because
i do commission art work, and so far, no one's bothered to
help me price my work here, so, no shop yet... might look
into role playing in the forums here though, but that all just
depends on if i can find any good ones or not. o x o don't
really want to have to go ahead and make my own or a new one~

i used to keep up with the chapters via chapter reviews by an
artist on dA that was one of my friends, but, he's long since
stopped doing them because he's been so busy with things, so

I left Gaia mostly because it became pretty sour for me...I had accumulated lots of stuff on there, only to have my main banned by the site for 'botting', so I had to start over with another account. Accumulated some stuff back, and then ran into some unpleasant stuff with some friends, and decided that I'd had enough and went looking for a new site. So I was pretty much ready to quit by then. :sweat:
Your artwork is amazing! :shock: I think 1000g - 2000g would be right around here...though I'm not sure because I haven't bought art in a while. You could check out some of the other shops and stuff and see how they compare? :O

the one thing that made me leave gaia was when i was hacked
back in 2005. i had collected every monthly collectable {with
my older sibling's help, mind you} and then i was hacked. i
tried to report it, but i couldn't quite get the time frame right.
then i lost that account and left for two years. {i was on gaia
under aged at the time, lol} and then, in 07, i went back.
but things changed so much after that... the whole site had a

why i like menewsha so much, it has the look and feel of old gaia.

Yeah, I did...three times. The first time, they sent me an automail about how my appeal was noted and stuff. Which basically means they didn't bother reading it, or they wouldn't have used one of those automails. The second time, I got another automail. The same one. Third time, they told me that it's been 'put into a que', and will be looked into. Those three times were sent in over a span of over a year. It's been several years after my last appeal (and quitting), and it's still not unbanned (I checked when I was logging on to my other account to give my stuff away to a friend), nor have I received any word on their supposed 'looked into'ness. So...basically, the majority of their mods and admins are sh!t, if you'll excuse my language. I even PM'd a mod (who a week later became an admin) about it because another user had told me she was nice(r), but she was just totally cold and uncaring and basically just brushed me off about it. With nothing whatsoever done about it. So...yeah. :\
Haha, yeaaah, I know. xD When I first joined Gaia, the CIs were around 15000g to 23000g each...by the time I quit, they were around 50000g each. All the decent items were even more expensive, especially those 'lottery' items...where you get 1000crapitems: 1gooditem. Menewsha's been inflating too, when I first joined the CIs were around 500g to 1000g each. Now it's hard to find one under 3000g. ^^;;

Haha, I suppose it's because Kabuto's Orochimaru's old underling, so he cracked a lot of his old master's jutsus, or something like that. xD And there's only one Black Zetsu, but he supposed to be like the entire 'land' or something...or maybe he just fused himself with the land. I dunno. It's a bit confusing. xD But the 'original' White Zetsu got Amaterasu'd anyway, so now it's only Black Zetsu left. :P (all in white, just in case you don't want to be spoiler'd)

I think I watched Dragon Ball on TV when I was around junior high, though it's definitely been around much longer than that. But they stopped airing it around when I was in high school, so no more Dragon Ball for me. :c

Yeah, I know a lot of people who were upset because they'd been donating for years, and then Gaia just went and banned their accounts for stupid things like scamming and hacking when they haven't been doing any of those things. I mean, is it so hard to have someone look into them? I know they're short on mods and people, and many of the mods are corrupt, but they could at least have someone who specifically deals with banned accounts, and others to specifically look into hacked accounts, etc...
The corrupt ones are the worst. They ban you because you annoyed them, or if a friend of theirs told them that you annoyed them. Wtf. >:c

Hmm...well, part of it could be from pressure from the publishing company. From what I've heard, the mangaka of the Detective Conan series had wanted to end the manga years ago, but because it was such a successful series with so many fans and stuff, the company wouldn't let her finish it and just kept on pressuring her to continue and continue...hence why it's been forever and Conan still hasn't been able to get into the showdown with the Shadowy Organization of Alcohol-Named-Members. >__>

Death Note's awesome, I have the entire series plus several side products of it, like Near's finger toys. XD Full Metal Alchemist was alright...I stopped reading it about three volumes before the end because it kind of lost me. Tiger and Bunny...I've heard it mentioned a lot on the Internet, but I've never read it before. The summary I gathered from Wikipedia seems interesting though.

my day yesterday = hectic. went to a party, then other
friends got angry, we went to my house, made up, then
dad got mad because is house was full, then everyone left.

look into all these issues that the users are having,
they should have a lot less 'ask the admins' and a bit
more looking into things. in the last ask the admin,
a user actually said 'well, i've seen _______ in the ata
since last week, so why haven't they responded to my pm?'
and all the admin said was 'i'm sorry, my message reading
is sparratic.' and i'm like 'whut?' because on gaia,
you get a limited 30 days to report a hacking or any other
sort of activity on your account. if they're not reading
the messages and only doing it sparratically, then nothing
will ever be solved. it made mesort of pissed when i
realized that they're treating our contacting them like it's
no big deal when they're a corporation, it is a big thing.
i've never had that specific horror, meeting a corrupt
mod on gaia yet. i'm sure i'll reun into one soon though…
because now you can apply to be mods. it's sort of crazy.
i kind of want to only because i know that i'm a good
person, and i'd get back to everyone in good time and be fair.

contribution items, but there were legal issues with that
name. i think that the issue was probably that gaia is
probably using the mc money to also fuel the artist's pay
check, so they couldn't call it a donation item if it's

and if menewsha ever gets as bad as gaia, i might just
treat it like i do gaia. work fast, do semi-quality art,

and the aquariums are a good way to make money on gaia, i've

i know. i don't like naruto for the amount of gag characters
they put in there. like, i know that they can buckel down and

difference between full metal alchemist and naruto though is
that full metal alchemist came through the united states when
it was still anime friendly, like it was okay to like anime
and you weren't automatically a social out cast type deal. but
naruto is going through the states when anime has a negative
stigma, so they're trying to milk it for all it's worth….

i think that the main reason i got into tiger and bunny was because
the art makes me think of my favorite visual novel company,
Nitro+chIraL~ the art is similar to the one that they chose for the
togainu no chi anime serializaton~ gah~ i wish togainu no chi was
longer~ you probably didn't watch it though… but you may have.
the anime was based off of a boy's love visual novel, but the anime
was just actiony with good music. * u * so it appealed to the masses~
i could never read one piece. the art gets to me too much. > u <U

learning experience for me. if the art is great, i learn from the
style. if the plot is awesome, i learn how to hide plot twists to

guess that'd be considered another turn off for me from one piece.
i haven't watched/read any of those other than kuroshitsuji, which i

囧 Yeah, I've heard about the multi-gold sinks and stuff...the last event I was in (I think it might've been either Halloween or Christmas...) was basically gold sinks everywhere. And items you have to spend cash on. Became more annoying than fun. :c
My favorite event on Gaia had been one of the Christmases where you could dance to the music and collect get a crown as the final item. Next year they did something similar too, but it wasn't as fun.

Hmm...It's kind of the opposite for many others, who think the story's become way too serious. Naruto started out sort of like a gag manga, what with the thousand-years-of-pain and other general light-heartedness at first with the occasional seriousness...but then it's become completely serious and not enough light-heartedness. I think Kishimoto's trying to compensate by creating characters like Karin and Killerbee...but for the most part I just want to strangle Killerbee. He annoys me like no other and fails at being a more 'funny' character.
Haha, yeah. I heard that the mangaka for Detective Konan wanted to say no, but the company basically threatened her that if she didn't continue and the series ended, they'll 'make it very difficult' for her to ever publish anything again. >_> Stupid company. It wasn't JUMP, because I don't think JUMP would be so underhanded, but still...poor mangakas. There are quite a few series where they only have a few volumes and the ending seems rushed, and it's all because their series weren't as popular as expected and got cut, so they had to end everything within a limited about of chapters. :c
Yeah...I don't mind that they cut out the more hentai parts, but still...they even changed a whole bunch of the cards in the game! Just because the monster was looking too grisly or was a female monster that was showing too much skin! And ugh, the FRIENDSHIP speeches...*dies* It's the same in Japan though, all the friendship talk and stuff...I saw Yu-Gi-Oh! on TV the other day, during the battle with Pegasus, and...gods, I wanted to fast forward through all the minutes of friendship and support lest I facedesk my brains out. 囧 *headdesk*

The art book is pretty amazing, even though there were many images that weren't Death Note at all. 囧 There were even a few that were from Bobobobo-bobobo (or however the #(*%& you spell that name of the series...) that were quite visually horrifying for me to see. (its style certainly clashes rather horribly with Death Note) But still worth collecting, if you ignore the weird pages. > w < b

lmao, That was exactly the reason why I hadn't liked reading One Piece at first. XD The art style was just too different from what I'm used to. But after a while you get used to it, the girls are quite pretty, anyway. :P The guys usually look more...er, interesting. But there are still a few who look awesome. *drool*
I like One Piece because while there are many volumes to it, the story never gets boring. It's not very slow-paced either, and the world is just so large and there are so many things they haven't explored yet. I just dread the day when it ends and I go and buy the entire series...xDD;; *saving up at the moment, because the series will almost most definitely reach over a hundred volumes at the least...*
