Yeah, not a fan of bugs at all. I did have this fried egg omlette once while vacationing in China where there were lots of black ants sprinkled over it, but that's about the extent of bugs I'm willing to eat.

I used to live in Texas, which is pretty close to Mexico too, but I'm not sure how authentic the Mexican food I've had is.

I was living in Arizona until a couple years ago, about an hour from the border. So, I've gotten a mix of authentic and... not so much lol

They're crunchy and hard and unpleasant to swallow because they'll scratch your throat with their hard bodies.
Not sure why they sprinkled them over the eggs, since it's certainly not for flavor...don't think they have much of any flavor at all.

I have no idea how to distinguish between authentic and not-authentic. I might be able to tell with Japanese food, but not so much Mexican food. ;;

Nope, Taiwan. But since we're so close to Japan we have a ton of Japanese restaurants here. Some of them aren't very authentic though, since it seems that most people around here like their food a bit sweeter.

I'm not a big fan of sweet foods. Desserts, obviously! But not meals in general. Especially not meat.

Definitely. Not a fan of sweets. Only my drinks.

Blegh, I hate it when they sweeten things up that shouldn't be. I don't like Hawaiian flavored pizzas because I hate having pineapple on my otherwise perfectly salty pizza! I usually don't like most fruits either because too sweet.

I've put grilled pineapple on a hamburger before. And I don't mind Hawaiian pizza every once in awhile... I don't mind that as much, but it's definitely something I'd do as an, "oh, by the way." In that, there are sides to go with the burger and it's summer and hot. With the Hawaiian pizza, it's fine if it's one slice, but I wouldn't order even a half'n'half pizza that way. That's about as far as I go on the sweet meat thing. xD (And that's mainly because the meat itself isn't sweet.)

Is there any guidelines to what I can request? Don't want to go overboard. ;;

Once again I'm up at the 3AM - this is uncool :(

I like sweet and sour pork, but that's about it for sweet not-fruit-or-dessert-stuff for me.
