Question 1: While Saint Valentine is associated with marriages and roses, he is also associate with birds, roosters, and curing a blind/crippled/epileptic child. What would Valentine's Day be like if we concentrated on those aspects instead?
|
I have this feeling it would quickly lose it's hallmark card appeal, and would just become another random 'national awareness day' that no one would really think about, except for like for the 5 minute special on the news... if they watched the news. Maybe there would be a random colored ribbon for it too, and people would collect change for it on the side of the roads.

Question 2: What happened to the Mock Turtle to make him not a real turtle?
|
Dude I am trying to google this, and failing miserably. It's a type of soup, and the turtle has a head of a donkey but the body, and fins of turtle...And Lewis Carroll I swear was on some heavy drugs when he wrote this stuff....before it was 'cool'.

Question 3: How do flowers celebrate Valentine's Day?
|
I keep on thinking of a book called "The Language of Flowers" which I just recently read. A good piece of fiction I couldn't put down. It's amazing that just because a flower is "Valentines" colored it may not have the purest intentions. Like white tulips are to symbolize "one sided love". Anyways, they were used way back in like Victorian(I think? Not a historian..) times as a secret way of communication. Now and days most flowers have a 'happy, pc' version, like yellow tulips use to symbolize 'hopeless love' and now most people think of yellow as a 'happy thoughts' or friendship kind of color. I'm thinking you're possibly looking for a similar interpretation...I could be wrong.

1) It would be about roast chicken with your loved ones, giving your time to help out at homes and clinics for the blind/crippled/epileptic and gathering together outside to listen to the bird's singing :D
3) They give themselves to each other =3
I'll come back to #2 =3

Lunna Dea: 1 if you could be any Alice in Wounderland character who would you be and why?
That's easy! The Cheshire Cat! Evaporating skills mean I can disappear when in a bind but yet also heal wounds, which would help people. The Cheshire Cat also could easily be both evil or good, what I mean is his characteristics allow him to be able to switch from good to bad easily. I would use my skills to help take down the red queen and help those of my friends. Plus he gets to know more than most because of his disappearing skills! He's just an amazing character!
(I hope that's the type of answer you are looking for.)

2 What would your V-Day card say to St Valentine?
|
1) The Mad Hatter. Mainly because I've been compared to him a lot throughout my high school career. Good comparisons, mind you XD
I adore his dress sense and we share a love of all things tea aswell as nonsensical riddles. He spends most of his time with an equally mad rabbit and I think that would probably lead to some of the most interesting conversations you would ever come across. Darn! Now I really wish Wonderland were real
2) Happy 14th of February! (That one sucked XD)

Flowers celebrate valentines day because of the meanings behind the flowers. Each flower you give means something different and is like giving candy heart messages. For example a pink carnation means gratitude while a white one means remember acne or a forget-me-not means remember me forever while lavender means distrust. You can find more meanings here. But that is why flowers celebrate valentines day, the meanings behind each one.
