"Alirght..." she began, but then frowned. "I'm afraid I must have dinner tonight... with him." she emphasized the last word, almost like it was something that tasted bad to say. "It's my sister's birthday, and of course my parent's invited him along. Of course, i'm not supposed to know that." she laughed. "How have you been?"

"I've been alright, why do you not like this "him" person?" Kai asked.

(brb dishes give me at least 1/2 hour)

"Because i don't love him. There is no other reason, except that my parents chose him for me." she stuck her chin up.

"Ah he is the one you told me about before" kai spoke and took a moment to think "How about we go find your sister something and maybe your parents will allow me to come and bring a gift if you say I am a friend of yours" Kai added.

"Would you really?" Ellie said, and she could feel her smile grow. "Thank you very much!" She turned her head down to keep from smiling too much, and then showed Kai her list. "I just need cake ingredients, and to pick up her present from the jewelers."

"Okay well lets go" Kai spoke (sorry I will write more once menewsha stops being an A**)

Ellie dragged Kai around the market, laughing along the way. He made her laugh. When they had finished, she led Kai back to her house and asked the guard to open the gate.
