Really?...I didn't know a lip piercing could end up killing a person. I assume it was from some kind of secondary infection.

My boyfriend has them (long story) and they get snagged on everything. It's difficult because I have to be careful about not getting them caught while he's sleeping, 'cause I have long hair and it's gotten snagged on my hair more than once :\

about the nipple piercings getting hooked up on everything... i find that seriously strange. it seems really odd lol. i know a fair few people with theirs done and i've never heard of that being a major issue before. weird!

i do get my hair hooked up on my industrial. it can be a bit painful when you first get it done but once it's healed up you barely notice it. i just yank the knots around get cranky more than hurt when it happens because it takes time to untangle!

It's more in than on. And I have a couple of thoughts on the issue. First one is, if rings are a problem, wear barbells.

The second one is more complex. I don't think I run into things with my boobs all that often. And I'm most often wearing something over my chest... a night shirt, a bra, a parka... something. I just don't see getting nipple rings caught in things to be a realistic problem.

I had a dear friend who was an older woman, who died a couple of years ago of AIDS. She had her nipples pierced, and often wore a little chain between them, with bells on it. It amused her when people looked around for the source of the ringing.

I guess I'd be worried about things like sweaters. Pull them over your head and opps, snagged on the nipple piercing. I've gotten necklaces snagged before on clothing, except these don't yank on body parts. I guess if you have these body piercings already, you'd know if this was an issue.

Your friend with a chain between her nipples, I guess everyone could tell when she was coming...Jingley jingely...Hehehe.

hahaha. yeah. Im mainly thinking of nipple piercings getting caught on my bra itself. I have quite a few lacy things, & i the heat of the moment, or when im in a hurry to get dressed/undressed & im going out, i can see some issues arising there.
+ when im at home on my own, i don't always wear a bra, i don't wear one to bed, But i do wear one of those tops with the support bra thingy in them. But those are the only issues i can see with it, + if your partner has one as well, you don't want to get hooked on one another hahahah

Getting on another person's body piercing jewerly, now that would be akward.

Both would look pretty awesome, although I will say I've rarely seen the bridge piercing, other than that one photo from earlier in the thread.

Personally, I would have to suggest the lip piercing. Preferably, one on each side of your bottom lip--snake bites. <3 I think they are unbelievably sexeh. <3


I'm thinking about getting my nose pierced. . . Sadly, I can't get it done with the job I have. I really also want to get the center of my lip pierced. It's going to be different than most though; it won't go through below my lip, but rather the the actual lip.
This is the best example I could find of it. Save that the bottom would be in my mouth. . . but now that I think about it, I kinda like it this way too. . . >w< I need a better job, one that will allow facial piercings.

well, it all has to do with your own personal preference, I personally like the lip piercing better that the industrial. The industrial looks pretty painful because they have to gauge your ear in order to get that big barbell in there. :shock:

Aw, I am a big fan of lip and eyebrow piercings.

Nose is like, meh. I dunno, seeing all my Indian friends moms with their noses pierced kind of killed it for me. Just too run of the mill, like ears. I have a short nose though so I never bothered having it pierced because unless I had my septum pierced it would just look goofy.

I'd say go with the labret piercing. Personally, it's one of my favorites. I myself wanted one, but instead I got a Monroe. Oh well~

@Jenova4- No, im just getting the side done. with a ring, but a small ring. I think it looks better than a stud.
The stud can be mistaken for a pimple lol

@blu_sour_skittle- aww what do you do that doesn't allow facial piercings? owchies. i wouldnt get the lip itself done. It would take AGES to heal, + i think it would get in the way with things, But thats just my opinion. I like the snake bites, i might be able to get them when i get a little older & after a little more nagging lol hahaha

@Neurotic Cupcake- yeah, well i only considered the labret cause i was told it would suit my face. Along with my nose. But i wont get my lip done if my BF don't want me to.
I dont want to make him feel uncomfortable to kiss me lol
