It's really hard to choose between the two for me. I love dogs though. Their full of energy and have awesome personalitys. While I still love my cat, she expects to be treated as a princess. Most cats only come to you when they need something. While dogs come to you no matter what.
I love both very much but I would probably go with dogs, before cats. :)

OK, I happen to be a cat person, but honestly any animal who's friendly and has thick fur I can pet is welcome to me.

speaking of cats.... i went to the library early this morning (i love on my college campus by the way) and while i was there i found a cat in the computer lab. he was adorable. he even climbed up into my lap for a little bit. i went back later but i couldn't find him again.
oh, i prefer either. i love animals.

cats are fun to watch (they get so crazy sometimes)
and dogs are fun to play fetch with
and they are both great for when you just want to sit down and have a pet in your lap ^_^
so i vote both! (i can do that right? vote for both?)

I love both really. I like how cats want to be with you when your warm and just be on there own as well. So your not bothered by much and can just live with them peacfully.
I like dogs though because They want your attantion ALL the time and love you even after being punished. There childesh but there mart too. I also love how they can be so... well... hmm.. I just love dogs in general

I have a puppy and a kitten... and a parrot. =3 I'm a big animal lover.
My kitten plays fetch better than my pup though.

Kitties all the way. Everybody loves a kitten. <3
Cats defintely are nowhere near as affection as dogs, but they're not as needy either. I don't like the idea of having another creature following me around and drooling all the time. Too much work.

When you find a place to buy one of those, let me know.
I'm more of a cat person than a dog one. Dogs have much different needs and personalities than cats, cats being the quieter and more regal of the two, and dogs being the stupid goofballs.
I have one cat, currently, seeing as our oldest just passed on. I loved that cat (Sazy, she-cat, tortoise-shell fur), she was incredibly sweet and had the most adorable mew I've ever heard.
Our remaining is a male, we've had him since he was a kitten and he's now over 10...he's every shade of gray you can imagine and his name is Smoky (bwahaha so original).

I prefer cats.
I'm not an individual with high energy that would be required when having a dog as their pet.
But, I do like dogs, too.

I love both. BUt if I had to pick just one, I would say dogs. They're playful, love you no matter what, don't crap in a box in the corner of your house, and can't tear you up with their claws. Although, I did have a bunch of cats growing up. And I loved them very much <3

while i love my cats. I prefer my two dogs though they are a little off Kisa the Chihuahua is under the impression that the two kittens in the house are her puppies and she cuddles them, plays with them, sleeps with them, kisses them and attacks the older cats in the house if they get close to them... oh yeah and she now half the size of the kittens so it's getting a little weird.

I like them both equally for different reasons.
But when it comes to owning one.
I pick cat, just cause they are easier to take care of and I'm lazy.
I have a cat infact. He is black and his name is Elvis. <3

I like both (generally), but I'm more likely to own a cat that a dog. Dogs take a lot of time and effort, they're very demanding, needing to be walked and played with all the time. Cats are more or less independent. I'm not saying to ignore the poor thing, but they tend to be content to crawl into your lap and accept a simple petting or even just to fall asleep on you, where as a dog will watch to play fetch or something and they (typically) are not trained to go in a litter box so you have to stop what your doing to walk them.

I'm not sure. I think I lean towards cats but I really love puppies. The thing that is off putting of dogs for me is when I watch my friend's dogs eat their poop. Then again my cat licks his butt all the time, so same thing. I hope to get a dog in the future so my opinion may change. Also, cats can use a litter box and be let out from time to time, but, if you're late from work and don't show up on time you may be greeted by a very mad dog and a mess.
