The smile was a little surprising to him. While this woman was in deed quite the beauty, she didn’t exactly strike him as one who would smile easily. He returned with a small smirk of his own, though his gaze didn’t meet hers. Cameroon was watching the scenes around him, all the while noticing her movements. He saw her take a step closer, and kept himself still. After all, he didn’t want to appear rude, who knew how much trouble that could get him in.

At her answer, his smile broadened slightly and he allowed himself to look in her direction again.
“Indeed, so I should show respect to one of importance.” Cameron answered softly before tilting his head slightly and giving her a wicked grin.

“No wonder you don’t know me then. I wouldn’t pretend to be important, not when there’re so many who’d know otherwise. Unlike most, I don’t have a death wish it seems.” He answered calmly. As a cop, he’d been taught how to keep such a façade up in most situations. This one was no different to any others, well, other than the fact he could get killed any second if he was discovered.

While waiting for an answer, Gio had pulled her blade from her belt again. She downed the last of her drink in a single gulp, throwing her head back to tilt the glass. She set it on the counter, loud enough for the bartender to hear, and began once again picking at her fingernails with the giant blade.

When he'd replied, Gio couldn't help but look up at him with raised eyebrows. The whole time her blade never stopped its careful work sharpening her fingernails to claw-like shapes. "Not many would let it be known they weren't important. The more important a person is, the less chance they have of being... Eliminated. Unimportant people are easily replaced." She looked up at him and smiled hugely, her fang teeth showing easily. She then held her blade up in front of her face and 'inspected it. There was really no reason though; she kept every piece of her equipment in perfect condition. There weren't even any blood stains.

With her actions, Gio hoped to strike some fear into the nonchalant newbie. He would learn eventually and what better time than now? The whole time, she watched him without ever turning her eyes toward him.

He eyed the blade apprehensively at first. However it swiftly turned into curiousity. The way they all acted, around different ranks and ages, it was very interesting. If he attempted to put a positive spin on this job he'd taken, at least he'd be able to figure out more quickly what a criminal was planning by spending time in the mafia.

Cameron noticed her raised eyebrows when she looked at him. What ever she had expected, it certainly hadn't been what his answer was. He shrugged in a casual fashion, taking another drag before even contemplating a responce to her...Suggestion.
"Ah, but aren't important people more likely to be assassinated by other mafia? They may be important, but it puts them more into the public eye...Well, mafia eye, they would be constantly watching over their shoulder." Pausing he waited for a moment, watching her carefully before turning away.

"Besides, do you think I would have said I was unimportant without being fairly certain I can protect myself? I'm new, I'm not stupid." He added in a soft undertone. Despite trying to pull off this calm attitude, he knew a brief flash of wariness had flickered over his own expression as the blade was raised up in front of her face. He swiftly smothered it though. It wouldn't be the best thing to let her know she put him on edge.

Loor muttered her thanks as the bartender handed her margarita and she drank slowly at first, but then gulped it down furiously after a few sips. It was good! She could feel the flames in her throat as she digested it, and she smiled at the pleasure.
"Get me another." she demanded with a beaming smile, and the bartender then nodded and turned to make her another margarita. While she waited, her fingers absently drummed on the counter as she looked around, taking in the sight of the crowd going wild with the booming music. She felt a little drowsy and tired, but ignored it and drank another margarita when the bartender put it in front of her. Without anything more than a look, she shoved it down, giggling at the after taste.
Although she could feel that she was tired and hungry and just wanted to be away from all the noise, she really didn't know what to do because then she'd be alone and she'd remind herself that she was in a room full of mafia members and that she'd be killed without hesitation if they found out about what she was really doing there.
Trying to shove the thought to the back of her mind, she continued to sit calmy on her chair, forcing herself to sip her margarita slowly before she had to order yet another one and look like a drunk. She could NOT get drunk, it would ruin her reputation, and they could get information out of her whilst she was drunk. Not a good idea in her book.

Al looked on in amazement. She was just knocking them back one after another. He would never have been able to drink that much and walk, wait he couldn't walk anyways.
"Hey hey hey! slow down a bit there. The party is just beginning no sense being senseless before the night begins. I've never seen you around here, you must be one of the new recruits. I'm Alberto Franchesi, most of the family calls me Little Al or just Al." He smiled at her, if she was indeed a new recruit than she wouldn't know who he was and was less likely to belittle him.
"You look like you need some food to go with that booze you're downing. HEY!" he waved to the bartender and whispered something to him and pointed to the back room. The bartender disappeared for a moment only to return with a tomato foccacia.

Loor was just about to down another margarita when someone started talking to her. Blinking in confusion, she looked at the man, trying to process what was happening before she realized he was introducing himself. She gave a slight smile, still feeling a little out of control inside. She nodded as he talked.
"Its nice to meet you, I was thinking I'd just kill myself with the drinks, loud music, and no company!" she says much less bewildered that someone was actually nice. Alright, perhaps she had stereotyped the mafia, but she had to keep herself on guard, she was dealing with a bunch of people who practically killed for a living.
"I'm Loor Crescent Simmons, just call me.. " she said, thinking of a little nickname and realizing she had none quickly continued, "Loor... If you can find a nickname without it being Low I'd be grateful." she explains with a smile.
Feeling a blush coming on, she hadn't realized she had been downing the margarita's as fast as he had she had. An embarassed smile stuck on her face as she shyly looked away.
"Did I look that hungry?" she managed to ask, glancing at him. But before she could observe his reaction, a plate of nice hot food was put in front of her, and sensing her stomach topple at the smell; she dug in, forcing herself to eat slowly.

Gio grinned wickedly at his reply. Ooooo I like him! He's not a pussy like the others. She stepped even closer. Slipping her blade into it's sheath with a quiet 'shck' sound she raised her hands. Using the tip of her newly shaped fingernail she traced a line from his shoulder to wrist, dragging it over the surface very lightly in a teasing manner.

"So Mr. I've-got-all-the-right-answers, what's your name?" Though it was very subtle, she could tell that her show had had the desired effect. She set him on edge; even if it was just a bit, it was there. With that in mind, she changed her appearance. From dangerous to alluring, it was instant and total makeover. Her now sweet eyes looked up at him with kitten-like innocence.

Al smiled again, "Lore it is then! And no worries, I won't be calling you Low as long as you don't start calling me Fran. And trust me, it doesn't matter how hungry you look you can always do with more food here. Go over to anyone's house and their mother's gonna make sure you leave fifteen pounds heavier." He chuckled as he took a small piece of the foccacia and popped it into his mouth. It was ok, nothing like momma's and the girls down at the bistro make it better, but Italian bread is still home for him. "No need to kill yourself drinking, you just joined the family. Give it three more years before you even start to think about killing yourself. That is if you're still here after all that."

[[Not going to be on till after Christmas (= So Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year every one! Hope the New Year's awesome for you guys ^ o ^]]

Miyuku grabbed another glass of wine at the bar before exiting the room. She decided she would get in a nap before her mission at night. She yawned as she entered the room and stripped out of her clothes, pulling her pajama's on. She yawned again as she tucked herself in. She set the alarm clock for 12:00am in the morning. She thought about what she had to do in her head, and finally hit the pillow falling into a deep dreamless sleep.

Another refill, and an even heavier filling surged through Firo's body as he drank the vodka even quicker than normal. Oh he was definitely going to have a hangover in the morning. Well he could live with that after all alcohol was one pleasure he couldn't go without. Plus it helped fight diabetes (in small amounts). "Hah, I doubt sobriety has stopped anyone before," Firo remarked, "It definitely didn't stop me from getting into a drinking contest after being sober for a week."

"How right you are.." Claire agreed as she finished her drink, in almost record time for her. "What would stop you from having another one right now?" she asked as looked over to him with her face in her palm, leaned on the bar.

"Nothing really," Firo replied. He was always up for one of them and the fact that he had already drank quite a bit of vodka only made it that much more interesting. "Do I get anything if I win?" It was a simple question that had oh so very many answers. While it didn't take much to get him into a contest (he was competitive mind you), some sort of incentive would be nice though. It made him want to win all that much more.

"I'll let you decide," Claire answered as she motioned for the bartender to bring over a round of tequila for the both of them. "And see if it's do-able or not..." She was always up for a challenge and he was pretty much the only guy worth talking to here. That is, that was as fun as she was.

Spotting her wicked grin brought another similar one to his features. So she wasn’t entirely devoid of a positive personality trait. That seemed to be a good thing, so far anyway. Again he tensed as she stepped closer. Cameron didn’t like being close to people, physically anyway. He would avoid mentally too if he could help it. Most people never followed his thought pattern, he tended to go from planning how to catch a criminal to what he would have for supper in a couple of seconds. A shiver, more of surprise than fear though, ran up and down his spine as he felt her shaped fingernail tracing lightly across his arm. His own eyes followed it in silence before they flickered back up to her.

“I’ve got a couple. Though Maroon is the newest.” He answered softly. Gio still had him on edge. He knew not to trust that innocent look, the expression that could have warmed even his cold heart. She had changed appearance too quickly, it made her instantly untrustworthy to him. Still, he reasoned, why not play her game? It could be interesting. He didn’t move away from her, though he didn’t move closer, simply letting his gaze settle on her own.

"Alright, then the same conditions go for me." This was going to be an interesting contest alright. When the first round was brought over Firo glanced over at the gray-haired girl, deciding to egg her on. "Ladies first." Tequila wasn't really his cup of tea as he preferred scotch, but it seemed to be the default for drinking games (if you didn't count sake) and he couldn't argue since she was the one who initiated it.

Claire only smirked before taking her shot and downing it as it was nothing. There was a slight burn in her throat, though that was the consequence in messing with tequila. She could handle it, but could he? "Looks like you're up, eyepatch..." the gray-haired one taunted as she pushed a shot glass towards him.

"What? Think I can't handle it?" Firo grabbed hold of the shot glass and emptied it, mirroring the lack of reaction that the girl before him had, only smiling afterward and setting down the glass. "You're next gray-top," he replied, giving her his own nickname. He didn't appreciate being identified by an old wound after all.

"Maroon..." She murmured quietly, more to herself than to him. In her mind, her quick wit was going through lists of names that would make sense for that nickname; her eyes went somewhat unfocused as she thought. The only somewhat common name she could come up with was Cameron. "So Cameron." She said, hoping to take a stab in the dark and set him off kilter by (hopefully) using his real name. "How did you get tied up with the likes of us?" She leaned her ribs against the bar (her waist was too short to reach) so that she wouldn't be pressing her gun against it; though it would probably hurt her by digging into her back, she was more worried about it being damaged. Her scarlet eyes remained locked on Cameron's the whole time.

"Aww, 'gray-top'?" Claire asked, feigned hurt as she pouted. "That hurts. Hurts so much, I'll drink to that," the pout immediately erased as she drank. At this rate, she was bound to wake up in a dumpster, with no recollections of the night prior, and with a sore bottom on top of her hangover. Hell, it wouldn't be the first time....

He could feel an expression of surprise flicker again over his features as he smiled faintly at the use of his real name. She really was someone not to contend with if it could be helped. Smarter than she lets on and clearly skilled with her weapons.
"The idea was more of a protection front if anything. Better to remain hidden behind the face of a Mafia, you're able to get away with a lot more."

Here a gleam flashed in his eyes as he stubbed his almost finished cigarette out on the bar counter.
"'Sides, cops'll have a harder time catching me now. I've done enough to get on their big black list, guess I'm not quite a newbie at this business." He chuckled softly, resting against the bar as well. Her scarlet gaze was almost disconcerting, it was no natural colour and could have been thought of as disturbing. Though the shade of red fascinated him, he didn't mind gazing back at her, he had no qualms about it, even if it unnerved other people when he did it to them. It wouldn't to Gio, that much he could guess at.

"You hurt? I should be hurt that you called me out on my missing eye," Firo dramatized clutching a drink in one hand and his heart in the other. "I need to drink away the pain." He drank heartily, slamming down the shot glass and laughing. I wonder how many times I'll puke tomorrow morning. He was pretty sure that he'd die or need a liver transplant later in life.

Claire only laughed as she saw a mock-Italian soap opera unravel in front of her. "Now, I will drink to that," she nodded before slamming hers. She shook her head to rid herself of vertigo, which was always the case with her when she drank in the abundances. "What else makes you drink?" she pushed another shot towards him.

"Wow. What a concept. Joining the mafia for protection." She shook her head as if the idea was completely insane, though she knew otherwise and was really just playing along. When he started talking about the cops, Gio had to fight hard to keep the smile on her face. She'd had more than one run in with the polizia in her days as a professional killer. When he finished, her smile turned dangerous, looking more like a snarl as she bared her fangs. "Let me tell you a secret." She said to him as she stared at him, her eyes flashing. "Eventually, the police give up. They go away and don't bother you anymore. I've been there. They aren't as smart as they think they are and no matter how many of us they catch, how many they steal off the streets and get rid of. There will always be ten more to take that one persons place." She looked very unlike the sweet innocent girl she'd been pretending to be. She looked in that moment like the coldblooded, slightly crazy, killer that she was.

Loor pondered on the funny nickname.
"Fran, its interesting, but I guess I can understand why you don't like it. Hm.. well, I'll tell you if I can come up with my own unique nickname for you." she says with a smile, continuing only shortly after taking a bite from her foccacia, "You can use any of my three names for inspiration."
As she ate, she caught him taking a bite and gave him a look. "It is merely an exception I'm not killing you for taking my food, since you brought me it." she explains cautiously, but not being able to stiffle the small giggle afterwards.
She laughed at his explanation about mothers, she knew about it alright. "Oh don't worry, I know all about them! I've got one just like the mother's you've described!" she exclaimed with a wave of her hand, as if its typical mother's thing to do.
"Oh I've never thought of killing myself, just filling myself up, but I guess the fact that its alcohol I was filling myself up with, you could say it IS killing yourself." she says with a little shrug of her shoulders and takes a sip of her margarita, smirking.
There was one part of what Al said that had her stopping to think. Give it three more years before you even start to think about killing yourself. That is if you're still here after all that! It replayed in her mind. Would she be here in three years? Nothing would be revealed as to what would happen in three years time now! She wondered briefly though, if she would become a mafia member for sure..
"How long have you been here?"
