A TALE OF TWO CITIES.
even the movie was horrible. it made me want to tear out my soul and lay it in a grave of lemon blades and razor juice. seriously, there were like 20 pages just on how this one guy drank hot coco. O_O I don't care how famous Charles Dickens is his creation caused me immense suffering. I can't believe back in the day people actually waited anxiously for pieces of his stories to be printed in the paper. oh, and he was PAID BY THE WORD. no wonder he dragged it on so much.. XP

I loathe twilight, Stephanie Meyer and anyone who argues their validity as a good piece of literature.

Okay, just a note; The only book I've read for school so far is Bridge to Terebithia and I enjoyed that :3

The only book that comes to mind when I try to think of books I've hated is Trouble with Lychen by John Wyndham. I've also read Chockie and The Chrysalids by the same author. Chockie was rather hard to get through in my opinion but it was a good and interesting read, I enjoyed the Chrysalids more so, it was intriguing :) but... Trouble with Lychen? Not for me. The blurb makes it sound like a interesting book. It wasn't. It was rather complicated to understand and to me it felt more a science book than anything else >_>

I haven't actually read Hatchet but there was a small snippet of it in my English text book, it sounded so bland >_> that book also caused some fun with a section on nouns and what-not, one of the example words was 'Michael Jackson' and in the section below was a fill in the blanks, gosh was that fun xD ((I do not mean any offense to Michael Jackson fans O_O))

hahaha I completely forgot about my extreme dislike of Twilight until I read the first post and it's mentioning of Twilight.

The book that Bo dislikes above even Twilight, is The Animal Farm. I can't remember who wrote it, but I hate it. I think it was because we "over" studied it in high school. I did like it to start with, but after we finished with it, I wanted to burn it. It's one of those books that I would have NEVER studied. For my own sanity.

But Bo hates Twilight. Bo was given Twilight for Christmas by one male friend a few years ago now and my other male friend saw that and got me the second book. I wanted to burn both, my dislike is that strong. But I gave the second book to the first friend, because his girlfriend at the time gave him the first book and he actually likes it. I ended up reading Twilight and it made me hate it more. The second friend has been apologising a lot ever since that Christmas. :P

Death of a Salesman was the worst play they ever made us read. The whole thing was just about a man who is living in the past and was a horrible person. He was rude, taught his sons all the wrong things, cheated on his wife, it's ridiculous. There is no real point to it. And the end is the most depressing and pathetic part of it. (Will not spoil it).

I learned from school that the worst and most pointless book in existence is Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. All this book is about is a rich kid running around doing nothing, complaining that the adult world is phony and criticizing it. Yet, everything he complains about he does! He whines throughout the whole book and is rude to many people. I couldn't even finish the book it was so bad.
Things were only made worse when my teacher made us watch the movie that was sort of based of the book, called "Chasing Holden". DO NOT WATCH IT. The movie is five times worse than the book and really depressing.
My final essay was on how horrible both the book and the movie were (I was the only one who thought either sucked).

Let's see....books that I think are absolutely awful are:

1) The Twilight series- This series is an insult to the very fabric of literature and vampire folklore. I refuse to rant about how awful this series is.

2) Anything by Charles Dickens except for maybe A Christmas Carol. I can't stand the way this man writes. It's like reading something written by someone with A.D.D. c.c It annoys me.
