"We're not on a quest, me and Hikari are just wondering around. Traveling to place to place, we just don't know where are traveling will lead us. Well, at least that's in my point of view." Haru said quietly, what's the point in quests anyways? You start on a quest, there's conflicts, and then your quest has ended. Well that was fun, but wandering around means to never stop exploring. That's what that meant to Haru.

The twins listened in on what the others had to say but said nothing. Their questions were gone on what the group was doing and now they were left to their imaginations and wondering why they were doing what. Many senarios ran through their heads as they looked at each other. Blending in, just wandering, and a mystery quest. It all seemed rather odd to them. They had a point, a goal at an unknown destination and they intended to keep with it. Knowing their luck they would have to part with the current group and would be left to doing things to their own accord. They liked the company though. They just didn't like how they seemed to view the Unai from the more 'human' perspective.

Letting his gaze move to Lyna, Shusuke pushed his glasses back up on his face once again. It was more a nervous habit than out of necessity.
"I'm sure things will be well soon enough," the elf said quietly, wishing for nothing more than to comfort the woman. Looking about at the group gathered, Shusuke suddenly felt a longing to be around the Fae again - to be part of a whole instead of a lost soul. But at the same time, he didn't want to give up on what he was doing.

Esmme looked toward the sky for a moment, wondering if it was about to rain. The clouds had suddenly begun to gather, and the young woman quickly moved toward the nearest building – a tavern. Just as she was about to step inside, she tripped – conveniently over her own skirt. Tumbling to the floor face-first, Esmme lay still, trying not to cry as she flung her arms over her head. So much for being graceful.

The sound and clatter of the door opening and a new commotion pulled the attention of the twins from the group at the table to the front door. "Looks like we're not the only ones making an entrance," Raiden said to his sister as he stood up. He held a hand out to her and said, "Shall we help her?" A smile had formed on his face and therefore one on Batara's appeared.

"Yes, let's," she said as she took his hand. The two make their way over to the fallen female, she had brought far less attention to herself than they had when they had stumbled in. People were watching though. They hadn't remembered these two coming in, or at least they thought they didn't, the two could smell the alcohol that many of them had ingested.

"Disgusting habit," Raiden whispered to his sister whom nodded in agreement. Batara kneeled down beside the girl, her brother remained standing, acting much like a body guard.

"Are you alright?" She asked, her tone soft but it was not fully serious, it held a friendly tone to it as well. Her hand hovered slightly above the girl's arms as she gazed upon her. She looked almost frightened as to what had happened, but then again so were her and her brother when they had pulled their stunt not that long ago.

"The might get better or worse you never know.....travelling can get weary after a while." She stated as she moved to go and stand up when she saw a girl come crashing in but the Unai had made it over to the girl before she could. She relaxed back into her chair fully confediante that they had everything under control. The sadness that was on her face was instantly replaced by concern for the girl. She watched evryone around the trio carefully for any sign that they were going to cause troble. Once she was satisfied that nothing bad was going to happy she looked back at the others that were still around the table. "Do you guys have some one?" she asked, just to be asking, almost everyone that she had met had someone that they loved, except for her self she couldn't find anyone that wantted her. She looked at her plate and began to eat the food slowly, as if it was not alot and she wantted to make it last.

"No one." Haru replied, he started to blush but stopped quickly. He did not want to tell anybody who he cared about or loved, it's just too embarrassing. Then Hikari woke up from the sudden crash, "PIE!" she muttered, "Woah, what happened, awww I fell asleep." the girl sighed and noticed Haru's hand on her head, "Um..." the boy quickly put his hand off her hand. Haru started to blush again, he wondered if his crush noticed but he didn't think she did because she doesn't notice things going around her.

"I to travel with everybody, it's a lot funner that way." the angel muttered, she hates saying good-byes to people she actually likes, as a friend. It makes her sad and she doesn't like leaving places. Still she could be thinking of strange things right after she woke up from her nap, what a nice nap.

Shusuke watched the Unai approach the newcomer as well, but decided to stay seated. After all, they were already there . . . and the girl was only human. She would be fine.
Turning his gaze to the couple beside him, he smiled as Hikari started, and almost chuckled when Haru mentioned not having a "loved one." Clearing his throat in embarrassment, the tall elf leaned forward, placing his elbows on the table. "There is no one," Shusuke said, echoing Haru's response. As of yet, no human could strike his interest - they weren't . . . like him. There were too many differences between the races . . . one of the most prominent reasons that they were at war.
Letting his silver eyes drift over to the Unai, he settled against the table-top in silence. A blush spread across his pale cheeks, and the youth moved to push his glasses up onto his face nervously. Shusuke cleared his throat, speaking in an unsteady voice.
"W-what about you, Lyna?"

"Are you alright?"
The light tone made Esmme look up, her blue eyes wide. Seeing the woman and her twin, a slight smile made it's way onto her face. They're beautiful.
"I'll be okay," she mumbled, her gaze moving from Batara to her brother. Blinking slowly, the young woman moved to sit up, brushing herself when she got to her feet. The very hem of her pale blue and white dress was slightly torn, and her sky-blue cloak was a bit scuffed . . . but other than that, she was alright. Embarrassed, but alright. "Thank you."

"I have....no one and niether would anyone want me....." She said as she saw him blush from the corner of her eye, it caused her to blush slightly, she didn't notice the unsteadiness of his voice when he spoke to her. She twisted her wrist above her empty glass, watching as it filled with water again. She looked up at the trio over by the door, and smiled slightly, she was happy that they were safe for now. What she knew of the Unai were what the humans knew, but she also knew humans stereo-typed everyone that was different, she wantted to get to know them better and how they really are. She picked her glass up and sipped the water gently before she set it down and started to braid her hair absently. She could have sat there, still as a statue but that would not have been 'human' of her. "Can you tell me about your selves?" she asked as she sighed, wantting to get to know these people better exspecially the elf.

"Come, come, we have a table you may join us," Batara said all smiles as she stood up besides the woman. Raiden took this as an invitation to uncross his arms, none had come to hurt his sister and the girl now, they wouldn't do it when they were standing. He too turned and looked upon the girl.

"Yes, you must come join us," he said as his pale eyes quickly took in many details. She was human, even her smell gave that away, but she seemed much nicer. She did not hold the raunchiness that most humans did. She didn't seem brute, rude, crude, or narrow minded. On the contrary, her clothing and actions gave her an air of kindness as well as knowledge.

Batara looked at her brother for a moment. She was sure she was going to get a 'report' on what he thought of the group later, much as he probably would. Given that they had the time. She grabbed the girl's hand, no longer waiting for a response. "You must be hungry, and we have food," she chided as she pulled herself and the girl to the back table. Raiden had wandered off once they got to the table and pulled up another chair for the new girl before he and his sister too their orinigal seats.

"Is something wrong?" Raiden asked as he looked at the odd look his sister was giving the group.

"Is it warm in here?" Batara asked to her brother whom shook his head as a 'no'. Her lips pursed slightly as she looked about the table. "They must have eaten something quite warm then, all of their faces are red like they have been running longer than they should have." Raiden just tilted his head to the side before saying,

"You are right Batara." It wasn't that Unai didn't blush, but these two were trained killers and with the arranged marriages they never had a chance to get really close with any of the opposite gender in their pack. It was quite an odd conscept to them even though they possessed the ability for the reaction.

"There isn't much to say," Shusuke said with a shrug, setting his glasses on the table. His silver eyes moved to Lyna for a moment - it was clear that he didn't truly need his glasses to see. They were merely for show - a human weakness that the elf didn't suffer from. He lifted a hand to run it through his seemingly short hair, and leaned back in his chair to cross his arms. "My family is low-born, even for the elves," he shrugged one slender shoulder. "I chose to leave the prejudice world of the elves and come see what the humans were like." Shusuke's gaze locked on the book in front of him. "Come to find out, they are just as bad as we are." The tall male fell silent as the twins brought a human to their table.

Esmme smiled, grateful that the twins hadn't sent her on her way. For a moment, out of the corner of her eye, she saw a fairy in the corner of the room. But when they headed toward Lyna and the rest of the group together, she realized it must have been her imagination acting up - again.
Taking the seat offered, the woman let her blue eyes scan over every one of them. She recognized Hikari and Haru . . . they worked here. Shusuke she'd seen around, but the others she didn't recognize at all.
"I am Esmme," she said softly, forcing herself to be bold in that second. "And thank you."

Batara slid her plate to Esmme before she said, "I'm Batara and this is Raiden." The twins were all smiles again and Batara practically climbed over her brother as she leaned on the table closer to the rest of the group. "She smells good," she whispered happily. Raiden was nodding as he came up beside his sister.

"Yes, unlike the other humans here!" Their fingers were tapping on the table, almost as if they were in their Unai form they would have been pawing at the ground with their four feet. Which, with them, they would have been at this point.

"That's why we brought her!" Batara said as she sat back quite proud of what they had done. Raiden nodded as he too sat back. They hadn't really paid much attention to how quiet the table had gotten. Things like that didn't really bother them. They made their own entertainment and did as they pleased usually.

"I am Lyna. It is nice to met you, Esmme." She said as she let the previous conversation drop, not wantting to get hurt by any of the other humans in the bar for just being different. She smiled at the girl, she gave the Unai a look that said be careful, she didn't know if the girl meant them harm or not. She still held the same kind look on her face with the same kind smile, not wantting to offend anyone. She pushed her hair back over her shoulder, and handed a glass of water to Esmme to drink.

"Hi! I'm Hikari and the boring person right next to me is Haru-chan!!" Hikari pointed at her little buddy, Haru. He frowned and pinched the little angel's face, she yelped Hikari rubbed her face, "That hurt, Haru-chan." she grumbled. She scooted over to Lyna and snuggled. Haru rolled his eyes and folded his arms, "Kid." the boy muttered.

Esmme accepted their greetings and offerings of food with equal happiness, seeming to truly appreciate them. She smiled slightly, and then started when she looked up at Haru and Hikari. What did I just see? It must be her imagination again. That's what everyone else called it. Esmme used to call it her "true sight," but that was a few years ago. Now she just hoped she wasn't going crazy. Wings? Did I see wings?
Blinking slowly, Esmme forced her smile back onto her face before sipping at the water she had been given. "It's good to meet you all," she said in a soft tone. It seemed as though her voice was so delicate that if she spoke too loudly it would harm her . . . though that wasn't quite true. "You all seem very nice."
Everything she said was genuine - it was straight from her mind.

Shusuke fell silent as the human joined their table, a slight smile on his face. Slipping his glasses back onto his face, the tall youth cleared his throat. "I'm sorry," he apologized, carefully stepping away from the table. "B-but I have things to attend to." Bowing slightly, the "human" grabbed the book off of the table, and backed away from the group. Tucking the tome under his arm, Shusuke headed for the door of the tavern, ignoring a few of the drunks that staggered into his path with practiced tolerance.

Hikari went after him and tugged on his arm, "Please don't leave." Haru stood up and grabbed her hand. He whispered in her ear, "Stop that, if he wants to leave he can just let go." Hikari let go, and walked back. She blushed and stared out in space.

"But....bye.....Shusuke." she sounded....sad as she watched him walk away, he was handsome in his human disguise, she knew that he would be even more handsome in his real form. She sighed heavily, a sad look came onto her face, before being replaced by her smile. She pulled the fallen angel into her lap, holding her like a little child, she brushed the girls hair out of her face. "It is fine...he may come back." she said, hoping the same thing that the girl in her lap was.

The twins glarred at the back of the elven male, the yellow eyes of their Unai form showing through. Batara grabbed Raiden's hand as the two walked up to him. They were on their own little mission and they were not going to fail. That was their mindset at least, it always had to be their mindset. After weaving around a number of drunks and having to avoid any confrontation with them, the twins reached Shusuke.

"That's not very nice," Batara whispered, though it had a hint of a hissing sound in her voice.

"You tell us that fighting is not the answer. We know that. We try be nice and extend our help to someone that needs it like that Unai do and you all walk away. Maybe we're not the species that is so horrible," Raiden's words were the harsher of the two and they were supposed to be. When it came to getting at people like this the twins played good cop, bad cop. He believed what he said though, they both did. The Unai were not a bad breed like everyone thought they were, and yet the shinning glory of kindness all the other races seemed to receive looked as it if were just one big shinny, phony cover.

When Hikari grabbed his arm, the elf blushed, and out of habit pushed his glasses further up on his face. "I'm sorry," he whispered, shaking his head before moving backwards again. He turned his back to the others once again, heading for the door. He didn't hear the twins approach until they were right beside him.
"I-" Shusuke blinked in surprise, stepping out of the tavern. "I have things to attend to." Bowing slightly, he cleared his throat nervously. "I'm sorry to offend you, but I wasn't planning on spending the entire day in that tavern." A weak smile appeared on his pale features. "I was merely reading until lunch."
The tall male cleared his throat again. "And the tavern is not the best place to speak of the Fae." His silver eyes flashed for a moment, and his glamour dropped slightly - long hair flit about his form, long ears rested on either side of his head, and his features sharpened in an almost breath-taking manner. "If you are so intent on helping the elves and humans find a way to stop fighting, then tell the others to meet me in the inn this evening."
Bowing politely, the elf then moved away from the Unai. "Good day."

A smile formed on Batara's face as she looked over at her brother. "I told you he was beautiful," she said smuggly at the elf's actually appearance. Raiden cocked a brow and gave her sister an odd look as he crossed his arms before him.

"I don't remember you saying such a thing," he said as the two of them turned and began walking towards the table. The inn, they would meet him in the inn later and there they could discuss things. It was just a matter of what an inn was. That was part of the reason the twins were going back to the table. They couldn't have found it as easily as the rest of the group.

They took their respective seats, both of them folding their hands carefully on the table. "We are to meet him in the inn later," Batara said with a slight nod as she looked at the remaining group. She felt pleased that the group hadn't seperated, not completely at least.

"So if we have finished here perhaps we should go outside? The air here isn't entirely friendly," Raiden then asked liking the elf's idea of getting out of the tavern. It not only wasn't a place to talk about fae, but a place that didn't like fae in general. Besides, the Unai were getting bored and wanted to get out.

"Well it's almost closing time and we have to get our money, so we'll be right back. Come on Hikari." Haru grabbed her hand and went to the owner of the resturaunt. They soon got their money and went back to the table. "Let's get out of here." Haru said.

Esmme stayed silent, merely finishing off the water in front of her as the others spoke of Shusuke's leaving. The human caught a glimpse of the elf outside, but hid her surprise with another sip of her drink. The woman glanced to Haru as he went to get their money, silently pondering if she was invited to come as well. Perhaps it is time to go. She'd intruded on these people for long enough.
"I'm sorry for bothering you all," she said, smiling kindly. Standing, she brushed her dark hair out of her face. "I'm glad I got to meet you all. Thank you for your help." Unsure if she should leave right away, she paused for a moment, hesitating.

Shusuke clamped down on any emotion, forcing his human glamour back into place with a sigh. Carrying his book to the library the tall youth let his thoughts move to that evening. Will they meet me?

"I am sorry, Esmme things have just gotten compleicatted and i have to go check into a inn with my cousins. Your welcome and you weren't a bother at all." Lyna said as she stood up and put some gold coins onto the table to pay for the meal. Her glamour flickered for a moment showing her silver/see through wings, she smiled at the girl, as she looked over at the others that were at the table. "Stay i have paid for evrything so if you want anything else go ahead and get it. No need for you to go and rush off since you just got here. We will see you around." she smiled meaning her words, she wantted to know what Shusuke wantted to talk about, she had a feeling that she was falling for him but she ignored it, he was an elf and her a well a fairy and well it just wouldn't work out. She waved bye at the girl and started to head out of the place, to where she believed the inn was at if not she was sure she would find it sooner or later.

Esmme smiled slightly at Lyna before waving to the others, forcing her blue eyes away from Batara and her brother - who continued to catch her eye. Forcing herself to turn away, the woman headed outside and continued on down the street. I wonder if I'll meet them again?

Shusuke settled down in the inn's common-room lobby, his bare feet tucked up under him. The large chair he sat in was in front of a brightly glowing fire, and the elf held no pretense of human form in that moment. His navy-streaked silver hair rested about his form, his slender finger trailing over the page before him, and his pale eyes darted about quickly as he read. The instant a human approached, his glamour flickered back into place subconsciously, and then slowly fell away as he lost himself in his book.

((Methinks someone should get in trouble. :lol: Someone . . . like the twins or something. :twisted:))

The twins waltzed out of the tavern soon after Esmme, they held their heads high acting as almost they belonged there. They walked arm in arm as they looked about what the town actually looked like. Not far away they could see the three men that had chased them into the tavern, standing there, staring at it with tools in hand. "They truly are a peculiar bunch," Raiden said to Batara.

"Yes, yes they are very peculiar," she replied, glancing at her brother. "We should go see what they do!" She thought it was a brilliant plan and apparently so did her brother as he seemed to keep up with her as they made a bee line for the men. Seeing the two royal looking teens approach seemed to puzzle the men slightly as they attempted to straighten themselves up and look more dignified than they were showing them.

"Eh hem," the bulky male in front cleared his voice before saying, "What can we do for you today?" You could tell that they had little experience with royalty, but that was ok because the twins were the furthest things from royalty. Unai believed in being well dressed, it wasn't their fault if people assumed things of them, that was their own fault.

"What is it that you do hear?" Batara asked as she cocked her head to the side. The men looked quite confused at this but took it almost as a test.

"Why this is a black smith m'lady," the second man said from behind the first. Batara just slowly nodded acting like she knew what they were talking about but Raiden didn't just as she had expected.

"What is a black smith?"

"Did you bump your head or something?" The third piped in only to receive glares from the other two. "What? How can they not know what a black smith is?"

"Forgive our friend," the first said. He still believed the the Unai were royalty. "We forge the highest quality metals for horse shoes, armor, and weapons," he said and it almost sounded scripted though it probably was. The twins didn't have to ask what horse shoes were seeing as many of the creatures were walking about, their feet were clacking on the ground with an unnatural sound against the cobble stone.

"Well we may be in need of your assistance," Raiden said, a smile cresting his pale face.

"Ah, yes, yes, what services do you require?" He said wholely accepting the sale. Batara's smiled matched her brother's, almost as if they had agreed to this mentally. They had been tired of hiding who they were in the tavern and were going to put on a show for the humans and really show them what it was that they walked among unknowingly because they believed they were superior.

"Well, we are having quite the 'shoe' predicament," Batara said as she feigned frustration.

"Well bring in the stubborn beast and we'll take care of it for you!" The second male said, the third male remained silent though he seemed to relax from his earlier out burst.

"Oh, we have the 'beast' alright," Batara told them, an almost dark tone was in her voice but it was merely play. The two then seemed to meld into their canine-looking forms as they chripped and barked at the men excitedly. Their eyes widened in fear, disgust and anger.

"It's them! Get them boys!" The first one yelled, his veins practically popping out of his neck. The two black figures instantly darted passed the males and into their smithy. The men followed pursuit all the while knocking various objects off and out of their proper resting places. Weapons, armor, and horse shoe dummies fell in a loud clatter when they hit each other. Tools clanked off stones, tipping buckets before finally clattering to a stop on the ground.

The men continued yelling at the twins but they didn't hear them. They were happily chirpping to one another as they darted out of the smithy and onto the street. Their sudden appearnce spooked most people but once everyone noticed there was a frenzy. Some people tried to be heros and catch the duo but they easily dodged around them. Humans were so easy to avoid.

There was a three-lettered sign that hung from a building and they darted towards it. Not for the building but for the crates that were stacked beside them. Their lighter figures easily bounded from one crate to the other until they landed on the straw thatched roof. The two laughed their hyena like laugh as they sat down. The people were fighting to get up there to them, it was only a matter of time before the inn keeper was brought out to deal with them.

"Oh no....." Lyna said to her self when she saw what the twins had done, she quickly went into the Inn searching for Shusuke, she found him by the fire place. "Shusuke.......we have a problem." Lyna said, worry was clear in her voice, she was afraid the twins might actually get killed by the humans. She quickly walked over to him, restting her hand onto his shoulder. There wasn't really anything she could do to save the twins, she thought that maybe an elf would have more power or influence with the humans then she did. Her eyes seemed to turn a storm blue color with the worry that she was filled with, she started to twist at a piece of cloth between her hands. She bite her lip and kept looking at the door and Shusuke, it was clear that she had taken to the two Unai and didn't want anything bad to happen to them.
