Yeah, when I wrote fanfic I was usually too focused on the charters to really care about a solid plot. But I always kept them to myself anyway, I never put them up because I knew they were horrible. Perfect grammar and everything but bad stories.

Hmm, some of my old ones actually have some really great plots... I just never finished them and put them out there for people to read... >.<

I would still like to see more people join in on this, but I can't get my hopes up too much. Anyway, we are still looking for people to join the fun. All I can do is wait and hope. Can I use an OC or Canon from the Marvel verse?

If that is what you choose, I would have no problem with it... I suppose I never mentioned comics, but that's mainly because I've never read comics other than Manga... but yes, that would be alright.

Technically, it's also a game, and a manga! but I have neither read nor played it, just heard about it. Crud, now I have to decide who (Rogue/Gambit/OC) and what universe (Evo/TAS)...Hmmm....

If you have to decide, I say Gambit. You can never go wrong with Gambit.

It's all up to you what character and what 'world' they will come from, so allow yourself some time to think about it if you can't decide right now.

I've been trying to get into Gambit's head, it's just not working. *sigh* Do you have any tips for fan based rping? This is my first time trying this.

It's usually best to know the character as well as you can. You can try looking up information on him in wikipedia or whatever source you're comfortable with. you can usually find a written profile about the character and figure out who you can make it work out... Me personally, I usually try to find a personality trait that I see in myself before i play a character, that way I can be a bit more believeable when I play them...

it's almost like creating an OC to play as, their personality, whether you see it or not, usually possesses some trait that you can relate to, at least it is always that way with me...

either way, it helps to know as much about the character as you can find... the Canon I'm playing, Sheena, I play the game that I pulled her from, so I know her character almost inside and out and that helps a lot when I play her, or at least it will help... so if you don't know much about the character, you should do some research into him first and then figure out his personality and how you can make it work...

In that case, I'd better stick to Rogue, I know her a lot better, and can totally see some of her traits in myself. Give me an hour or two and I should have it done. But what do I do as a sample. Should I have her just interacting with a random person? Any suggestions?

Why don't you just use your intro post as your sample post. It'll be a great sample and when you actually have it sitting in front of you, you can edit things to make it better.

Raizo's suggestion is very good... the sample can be anything you want it to be, but if you also make it an intro post for the roleplay itself, then you won't have to think twice about what you want for that first post... ^ ^
