Nashita was already at her seat in the greenhouse as Matthew, Ben, and Jack came in. "Hey guys." She smiled as he adjusted her goggles and apron.

"You need a boyfriend." Jack laughed. "You're always early for class."

"Yes but you already took the good one." Nashita teased, causing Jack to roll his eyes.

"Anyone remember what we're suppose to be going over today?" Matthew asked the other three as the boys put on their own goggles and aprons.

"No idea. Because that would imply that I payed attention in the last class." Ben teased as he looked through his somewhat foggy glasses.

"We're pruning alihosty bushes." Nashita said, rolling her eyes playfully.

Kalli, arriving a few minutes after the rest of the group was situated, walked over to them with a smile, "Hiya! We doing anything interesting today?"

Seeing the clock in the courtyard, Leane's eyes widened as she realized just how late she was. Running through the grounds, Leane darted as fast as she could to the Greenhouses.

"We're pruning bushes." Jack laughed as he traced designs in the wood on the table. "Its odd. It sounds boring yet I absolutely love this class." He smiled.

"Well I'm a bigger fan of Care of Magical Creatures myself." Ben said as they waited for Sprout to start class.

"Where's Leane?" Matthew asked the rest of the group as he eyed the clock.

"Do you think Snape kept her late?" Nashita asked.

Kalli sighed as she finished getting ready, "She's probably still cleaning. She made a complete mess, remember? It'll take forever to get that off the walls and ceiling. Then to have her lesson on top of it? I feel bad for her.. Snape's positively horrible for making her clean it up without magic!"

Just as Kalli had finished speaking, Professor Sprout walked to the front of the class and clapped her hands for quiet, "Good morning sixth years. Today we'll be learning how to prune Alihosty Bushes. Can anyone tell me the purpose for this?"

Nashita rose her hand at the same time of Jack, however Jack was quicker to answer. "The leaves are trimmed because eating them can cause hysteria." Jack answered, earning a scowl from Nashita and a high five under the table from Ben.

"Correct Mr. Kentner. Ten points for Hufflepuff. Now, when you- Ah, Ms. Supton, good of you to join us. Fifteen points from Slytherin for tardiness. Would you care to tell me what kept you?" asked Professor Sprout as she stared expectantly at Leane.

Leane blushed as she took her place beside Matt, "Forgive me, Professor. I sort of.. blew up a potion during class, and it took me awhile to clean the Potion Room and put it back into order. It won't happen again, I promise Professor."

"Very well, see that it doesn't. Now, get your things on and your classmates will inform you of what today's lesson is," said Professor Sprout before continuing her lesson on the importance of Alihosty Bushes and what properties the plant contained.

"I thought Snape like Slytherins." Matthew whispered as Leane sat down.

"We're going over alihosty bushes." Nashita whispered. "Too bad about Snape. He's so harsh sometimes." She smiled before sitting back in her seat.

Ben gave Leane a sympathetic smile though Jack's eyes stayed on Professor Sprout as he was completely absorbed in the lesson.

"Thanks Shita, and I definitely agree with you there," Leane whispered with a smile before bumping her hip against Matt's, "I think I'm in the Gryffie boat when it comes to Snape."

Kalli laughed as she whispered in Leane's here, unheard by everyone around them, "Somehow, I doubt that Lee."

Leane's face turned a deep scarlet as she shot Kalli a 'Bloody hell Kal, shut your mouth! That's so not true!' glare and finished getting ready as Professor Sprout let the students begin pruning the plants before them, "The student who most carefully, and most successfully, prunes their Alihosty Bush will receive ten points for their house and will be excused from tonight's homework. The dishes to place the leaves are to the left of each of your stations. Please be careful, you may begin."

Jack began to trim his alihosty plants as soon as Professor Sprout finished talking. "How are suppose to do this?" Ben whispered to Jack who had already trimmed five of his leaves.

"You have to hold them firm to keep the pieces from moving."Jack said, demonstarting on Ben's plant and snipping a leaf for him.

"That's cheating." Nashita hissed, her face sour.

"And that's jealousy." Matthew teased causing Nashita to roll her eyes yet she couldn't help but smirk at his joke.

Taking her anger out on the plant, Leane snipped much more than was necessary earning an 'I'm sorry, but don't take it out on the plant!' look from Kalli.

Ignoring Kalli, Leane continued to snip at the plant, much to it's dismay.

Sighing, Kalli went on with her plant, managing to get another couple of leaves into the dish.

"Ms. Supton, please stop destroying the poor plant. Mr. Sommers, Mr. Kentner, will one of you please help Ms. Supton with her Alihosty Bush before she kills the poor dear?"

"Sure thing." Matthew offered as Jack was still assisting Ben. Moving to stand beside Leane, Matthew took her hand and moved it to firmly hold the plant in place. "Now clip." He said.

Nashita expertly clipped her plant, trying to compete with Jack who was still a few leaves ahead of her.

Smirking, Jack looked up at Nashita as he continued to clip leaves. "Its not a race." He whispered with a laugh.

"Aw, give Jackie a break." Ben smiled. "He's good at Herbology. Let him do well in at least one of his classes." He smiled, causing Jack to roll his eyes.

"So, Kalli." Nashita said, pointedly avoiding the couple. "How was Josh?"

Leane sighed as she still somehow managed to mutilate the leaf, "Matt, it's no use.. My temper's gotten the best of me again.."

Kalli couldn't help but laugh as their exchanges, "Ben, let them have a little fun. It's nice to compete every once in awhile. As for Josh," Kalli continued with a grin as she looked at Nashita, "aren't we Miss Nosey. We were only kissing, but he's amazing as always. Have you found a certain someone to start snogging yet?"

"I know you can do it, Lee." Matthew soothed. "Don't be angry. Just snip the end." He said pointing with his free hand to the struggling leaf.

"Can't say I have." Nashita smiled as she continued to snip as fast as she could though she was still falling behind Jack. Letting out a grunt of fustration as she snipped a leaf much in the fashion of Leane, Nashita stomped her foot out of anger.

"Don't get so upset." Jack said. "The whole key is to be patient." He advised. As he helped Ben with another leaf.

Sighing, Leane tried again. It was better, but still mutilated. "See? I can't not mutilate the stupid thing. Ugh! Plants are so vile it's ridiculous.."

Trying again out of frustration, Leane actually managed to snip a leaf properly. Watching it float to the dish, Leane couldn't help but giggle out of happiness as her mood instantly shifted from fury to becoming calmer and happier. "I did it! I really did it!" she exclaimed as she put down to the clippers and turned towards Matt. Wrapping her free arm around his neck, Leane hugged him, "Thank you!"

Turning back to her bush, Leane picked up her clippers and tried again, succeeding once more and making her mood rise. She seemed like such a child, but it was one of her quirks that she never quite grew out of - the moment she started to succeed, she would become giddy and giggly and completely euphoric.

"Too bad Jack's taken, Nashita. You two would have been so cute together," teased Kalli with a grin as she cut another leaf.

"I told you." Matthew smiled, patting her shoulder before turning back to his own plant.

"Yes, if only I was a guy." Nashita laughed, rolling her eyes playfully.

"Even if you were a guy you still couldn't steal him from me." Ben teased as he snipped a leaf.

.

Leane rolled her eyes playfully at Matt and she cut another leaf, "Yeah, yeah, you just have all the answers don't you."

Kalli laughed, "That's true, you two are so in sync it's crazy!"

Looking over at the group, Leane inquired, "You all going to Hogsmeade tomorrow?"

"Of course." Ben and Jack said to Leane at the same time, earning strange looks from Matthew and Nashita.

Jack turned back to his plant and snipped the last few leaves quickly. "Professor Sprout?" He asked, raising his hand. "I've finished my plant." He smiled.

Nashita cursed lightly under her breath. Setting down her shears in defeat, Nashita waited for Professor Sprout to look at Jack's plant, secretly hoping that he hadn't trimmed everything.

Professor Sprout smiled at Jack as she headed over to him, "Well well, that was quick Mr. Kentner! Let's take a look out a growing plant, shall we?"

Picking the bush up, Professor Sprout looked it over, her smile forming into a grin as she set the plant down, "Congratulations Mr. Kentner, another ten points for Hufflepuff and no homework for you," she added as she clapped her hands, the rest of the class joining for a few claps before returning to their work.

Leane chuckled as she tried to distract Nashita from the disappointment and continued snipping at her bush, "What about you Shita? Matt? You guys coming with us?"

Kalli sighed as she went working on her plant, "You guys better bring me back some candy.. Josh has a test to study for so he can't go.."

.

"Yes." Nashita sighed as she went back to work, slower this time. "I'm going."

"So am I." Matthew smiled as he struggled with one of his leaves.

Jack, having finished his plant, helped Ben snip his after a few of Ben's leaves had been snipped in half.

.

Leane smiled, "Good. We can all head over and get a Butter Beer before heading to the candy shop and stocking up. I've completely run out and it's driving me insane not having something to snack on whenever I want it.. That sound okay with you guys?"

Glancing at Kalli, Leane rolled her eyes, "Kal, stop looking so mopey about not going. It's your fault if you'd rather stay here and 'study' with Josh than come with us and hang out."

Kalli laughed, "I know I know, but still. It's one of the few alone times we have!"

Rolling her eyes, Leane finished what was left of her plant and she shuddered, "Don't tell me things like that!"

"Aw, come on, Lee." Ben laughed. "Don't get all grossed out. They're in love." He laughed as he finished his plant with Jack's help.

Nashita put down her own shears as she finished and leaned forward against the table. "Its cute that her and Josh are so googly eyes." She said, bumping Leane's hip.

Matthew finished his plant with a satisfied smiled and wiped hie brow with the back of his wrist. "Well I for one, agree with Leane. Those images are something I don't particularly need." He laughed.

Leane laughed, "See? I'm not the only one who doesn't like to think of my brother and one of my best friends doing much more than just snogging on their days off."

Kalli rolled her eyes at Leane and Matt, "Well once you two find someone to love as much as we love each other, you won't be so judgmental. And really, even Nashita understands, and she doesn't have any interest in anyone!"

Laughing, Leane took off her Herbology things as she whispered to Matt, "I still don't like the idea of my brother having sex with my best friend. They just don't get it that's it's weird hearing about the sex-life of your brother through your best friend, and vice-versa! At least you understand where I'm coming from."

"Alright class," called Professor Sprout, "Tonight I want you to write a two paragraph minimum of what you learned today as well as how your experience with the Alihosty Bush. Once your things are put away and your leaves are brought to me, you're free to leave."

"Well I'm thankful that I don't have to hear about it." Matthew laughed quietly as he started to put his things away. "I just don't like the mental images I get." He laughed.

Nashita put her things away quickly and hurried off to Defense Against the Dark Arts in a huff, her black hair swirling behind her.

"Poor girl." Jack sighed as he put his things away quickly.

"Tell me about. I wonder if she'll talk to us at all in Defense Against the Dark Arts." Ben agreed as he watched Nashita's disappearing figure.

"Here, give me your leaves, I'll take them up," Leane said as she held her hand out for their dishes, "And I'm sure Shita will be fine, as long as you two don't egg her on again that is," Leane added with a laugh.

Kalli smiled as she handed her dish to Leane, "Thanks Lee, I'll see you in class okay? Try not to lallygag around and be late again, okay?"

Leane laughed as she finished piling their dishes one on top of the other, "Of course, I already brought my book with me, so it's alright. See you there," she added as she took the dishes to Professor Sprout.

"Nashita's not upset with us." Jack said, confused.

"Are you guys blind?" Ben asked, earning a smack from Jack.

"What he means to say." Jack said to the group. "Is that Nashita's upset about what Kalli said. She's been feeling kind of lonely lately and that comment about how she doesn't have anyone struck close to home."

"That's ridiculous." Matthew said. "She has all of us."

"Says the straight guy." Ben laughed. "She's been having a hard time lately and that's why she's been working harder then usual. She has this thing where she needs to be in control and schoolwork does that for her."
