Jai'kar saw the girl jump at him and let himself be knocked down, allowing himself the ability to roll up as Calaily rushed over to the fallen boy. "Let us stop this foolishness with magic," he said, tauntingly, "Let us have a duel. Two on one sound good to you? It is obvious that I am the better magician, so the wise choice should be apparent." When he saw the shrapnel flying at him he said, "Brisingr," nonchalantly, as if it were nothing. The shrapnel burnt up under the crimson flame, leaving a pile of ashes on the floor.

"You can take him. I'll help you." The voice said again. Calaily felt a rush in her body and grinned. "You're my dragon aren't you?" She asked back, just realizing that it probably was her dragon. Calaily stood beside the dragon rider with her sword by her side. "Shall we? Or are we backing down?" She asked the rider earnestly.

((I don't mean to offend by saying this, and I hope you don't take it as offensive either, but the dragon has to hatch and grow a little before it can establish the mental connection. Could you make the voice a wandering benevolent spirit, or something? You wouldn't have to edit your post, we could come up with a scenario that allows her to realize her mistake. Thank you for understanding:)))

"Yeah, we can take him. I'll get into big trouble if I don't try," Zenl stated as he moved Argent in front of him, "Normally I wouldn't let you join in, but I won't be able to take him otherwise. Just don't get hit. He's an elf and one hit could kill you before you could even think about how much it hurt." Zenl circled the traitor, trying to put him between them. He kept Argent in a defensive position, waiting for the fugitive to make his move.

Jai'kar smirked as the boy warned the girl about his strength. He saw that the boy was trying to pin him between the two Dragon Riders and took his oppurtunity to lunge, followed by a backswing aimed at the girl. If he struck her, she was dead. If he missed, oh well. He danced about, mocking his opponents, giving off an aura of arrogance.

Delrya frowned and watched as Zenl ran out, telling her and Tali to stay put and shook her head. "Well, I guess we know now why he was so creepy." she said in a rather bored voice and sighed. "I'm starving, and am going to get something to eat. You can come or stay." she told Tali with a smile and walked towards a different inn.

Calaily dodged Jai'kar's attack. She lifted her sword in front of her and glared at the man. She swung her sword around, inteding to hit the man with the flat side of her blade.

Zenl sidestepped the lunge, intending to swing down at the man's exposed back, but was shocked when he swung back at the girl. He quickly tried to stop the swing, and was plesantly surprised when she dodged the attack, even though he had failed in diverting it, and counterattacked to his exposed side. He quickly joined her, attacking the other side, compensating to make the attacks synchronized.

Jai'kar stepped back, laughing as the momentum would carry the two blades to meet each other instead of him. "That was a pretty rookie mistake, don't you think Shur'tugal?" he taunted as he swung to meet the girl's sword.

((Hey Dino, I wanted to say thanks for the explanation and that I'll be praying for you.))

When Jai'kar dodged out of the way of Calaily's and the rider's attacks, Calaily quickly pulled her sword to the side. It clanged against Jai'kar's sword and she took a step back. Calaily swung at Jai'kar after doing some quick calculations. If she swung her sword around as fast a she could at chest hieght in Jai'kar's direction she would hit his wrist. If he dodged she could swing it down and hit his knee. Calaily swung the sword at Jai'kar.

Jai'kar saw the girl's blade swing toward her, amazingly fast for a human. Seeing that she was trying to hit his wrist, he pulled his hand back so that it would hit his fist. He then swung his fist to meet the blade as hard as he could. The momentum of her swing would carry the blade into his fist, regardless of whether she tried to slow it down or not.

Calaily saw Jai'kar move his hand back but she didn't bother trying to stop her blade. She swung it forward and it hit Jai'kar's fist. She staggered back a step but recovered quickly. She looked over at the dragon rider, who must be planning something. Then she swung the blade down, aiming for Jai'kar's knee. "YOU GO! GET HIM!" The voice said in her head again. But this time it wasn't entirely in her head. She looked just behind Jai'kar and saw a shimmery form of a lady standing there. Calaily was shocked by the ghost but continued her attack nonetheless.

Zenl jumped back when the girl's blade met his and promptly slipped on a puddle of ale that was emptied when a barrel shattered. He slammed his head on the floor and blacked out. When he came too, Calaily was swinging at Jai'kar, who was swinging the fist towards the blade, but was too woozy to say anything, or even sit up all the way. He just sat there, trying to recover his strength and hoping that the girl wouldn't get hurt.

Calaily pulled her sword back from the attack and swung at Jai'kar's legs from a different angle.. She noticed that the dragon rider was slumped over on the floor, barely conscious. "Careful!" The ghost said and she realized that the voice hadn't been her dragon but the ghost. Calaily smiled and continued with her attack.

Jai'kar frowned after the blade struck his fist. It had been a little too high, so all that happened to the blade was it got cracked. She had quickly recovered and was swinging towards his knee when he heard a voice, but he ignored it as he lifted his foot and stomped on the blade faster than the eye could see. He smiled evilly when he heard the familiar snap of human weapons as the top half of the blade went to the floor with his foot. "You see child?" he said tauntingly, "That's why elves don't use human made weapons. They're too fragile!"

Tali stood outside the inn, second-guessing herself as usual. Did I really believe that I could make a difference? she asked herself, frustrated. The large silver dragon off to the side was kind of unsettling, but it seemed worried regardless. She felt a touch of panic when the sound of a struggle died down, believing that she was too late, only to have them pick up again before dying down.

Levis stared at he girl outside the inn, obviously debating about entering. He needed her help to save his near unconcious Rider so he spoke to her mind. Child, he said, trying to imbue confidence, I need your help. My Rider is nearly unconcious inside, and I can't enter without possibly hurting someone on our side. Will you help?

Calily shrugged when Jai'kar broke her sword and pulled out another one. "And that's why I'm smart enough to trick people. This is and elven made blade." Calily laughed and swung at Jai'kar again. She intended to hit his arm, but decided that he would just dodge it. She quickly swung downward, going for his legs again. "There's no way that he can dodge this." The voice and Calaily thought at the same time. Calaily grinned and continued with her attack.

"Did you happen to forget, child?" Jai'kar laughed as he swung his blade down at her hilt faster than humanly possible, "I'm and elf, and you're a mere human! There's no way you can match my speed, even with the spirit's help." He felt the biting pain of her sword slicing his leg, but continued the attack nevertheless.

Calaily dropped her sword when Jai'kar swung his at the hilt. "Yeah so? I've dueled with many different opponents, and with no help. And I'm not just a mere human." Calaily laughed and ducked down to pick up her sword. She snatched it up and swung up at Jai'kar again. "You're doing great! Keep it coming!" The ghost cheered.

Delrya snuck up behind Jai'kar and had her silver blade swinging at the back of his neck and looked over at Calaily. "mind if i join in?" she called to the other girl.

"Not at all!" Calaily said to the girl that had just walked in. She stopped her attack and swung again in a different direction. "Yeah! There you go!" The ghost cheered.

Jai'kar felt a new presence and said, "Skolir," to create a shield to protect him in case of attack. He was proven right when he felt the faint sap in strength that came from such use. He whipped around, feinting his newest opponent, before jumping up and landing on Calaily's blade. He turned around and yanked out a knife, which he threw at her hands, before jumping up and over the newest combatant. When he landed he swung at her, intending to lock blades as he saw that she was an elf.

"I'll help," Tali said quietly, though not timidly like before. She had made up her mind, and cast her fear aside as it would only get in the way. Risking being spotted, she snuck up to the window, before peeking in and examining the sight. She then crawled to the door and peered inside, plotting when the best time to attack would be.

Delrya swung around, her blade meeting his with small sparks showering to the floor before fading into nothing and she glared at him then pushed back his sword roughly, with enough strength to made his hand move back before she swung in for the attack, aiming for his sword arm.

Jai'kar felt his hand move back and saw the girl attack again, aiming for his sword arm. He brought his sword back to meet the girls and held it, using enough force, that if the blade wasn't elven, it would have been sliced through.

Tali saw the man and Delrya meet swords and decided to act. Hopping to her feet, she glanced back inside to make sure she hadn't been heard or spotted. Seeing that she hadn't, she stepped back to the street, turned around, crossed her arms in front of her chest, and charged the man, her small size giving her silent footsteps. She slammed into him, sending him sprawling with a look of shock on his face.
