Roxas froze for a half-second when he heard Axel's whistle. But he relaxed when he seen who it was. He bit his lip for a second before nodding. "Yeah. Alright." he said, going over to him and heading outside. In all honestly, Roxas had never really ridden a horse before. He did maybe once or twice, but his father was always there to make sure nothing happened. But it couldn't be too hard, right?

Axel just assumed Roxas knew how to ride a horse, he had no reason to think he didn't. He led them to the stables and pointed to the white stallion and smiled. "There he is. He's yours. Axel grabbed the saddle for his horse and patted the horse's back. "Good boy." He gave it a sugar cube and smiled. "Ready to go for a trot." The horse winnied and Axel looked at Roxas then it struck him. He was a commoner. "Do you need help?"

Roxas followed after Axel silently as he was led to the stables. He smiled though when he seen the horse he was going to get to ride. It was a beautiful horse and he really wanted to ride it.. But he didn't want to look like an idiot in front of Axel. But he had no idea how to put a saddle on the horse, so he sighed as he dropped his gaze. "..Yeah.. Just a little..."

Axel walked behind the male so he could see everything his hands did. However this put Axels nose in Soras freshly washed hair and his eyes nearly drifted shut to enjoy the smell. He pulled himself back to reality and set the saddle on the horse. "All you do is you take each lower clasp and snap them together like this." He showed him then slid a hand onto his shoulder. "This foot in the straddle and kick the other." He said and grinned. Damn was he cute!

Roxas nodded as he watched Axel put the saddle on the horse. He made a note that he'd get it by himself next time. But with the other being so close behind him, he was finding it hard to think straight as his heart-rate sped up slightly. "I know how to get on the horse..." he muttered, pulling himself up. He was glad when there was a little space between the two and he was able to think a little clearer.

Axel grinned, quickly showed him the moves for faster and slow and then looked at Roxas a moment longer. "You'll be fine." He said and patted... Buck Eye? to start moving. Who knew the horses name, he sure as hell didn't! He hopped onto Garriead and kicked him gently to trot after Roxas. "Good boy." He said as he caught up with the male. "Tell me about you. The real you."

Roxas was extremely tense when the horse started moving. But it wasn't going too fast and he found himself relaxing slowly, actually kinda enjoying it. He glanced over at Axel as he caught up to him and he frowned lightly at the 'good boy' comment. He raised an eyebrow lightly though. "Ok.. What do you want to start with?" he asked, kinda amazed that Axel was even remotely curious about his life.

"The beginning. Where were you born? Who and what are your parents? Where did you grow up? Do you have siblings? Do you have a girl waiting for you at home? What are your hobbies?" He asked, sneaking only one truly important question to him. He had been talking to his horse about the good boy and he said it again. His horse had recently gone through surgery on his leg so long distances could be hard for him. But Axel kept him as happy as possible. Or he tried to at least.

Roxas was silent for a few seconds, momentarily enjoying the breeze. "Well... I'm not really sure where I was born. My mom said I was adopted..." he said, shrugging lightly. It wasn't until recently that he found out about that actually. But he figured it wasn't that big of deal since his adoptive parents seem to love him a lot. "I grew up on the outskirts of town." He pointed in the general direction of where he thought his house was. He was silent for a few seconds before shaking his head. "No. There's no girl waiting at home for me.... My hobbies?... Well.. Anything really that involves phsyical labor. I hate sitting still for long periods of time.... What about you? Tell me about yourself."

Axel shrugged and smiled. "I've lived in the castle my entire life, sometimes I'm very jealous and think I should be Prince. the King certainly loves me more. I've never fallen in love, I've never had kin, I don't know my parents and I enjoy riding horses and secretly love the castle ball. Which is an annual, yule festival tradition. Something about being dressed up and no one knows who you are enthralls me.

Roxas smiled lightly. He wished he was around here long enough to be able to go to this ball. He'd never been able to before because his father thought it was a waist of time. He was silent for a few seconds, enjoying the sight of the open area. ".. Do you think I'd be able to go to that ball this year?" he asked.

"Only if you're around for another... 6 months." Axel said and smiled. "You would look dashing Sora's wardrobe. I hope you can go for your sake. It's a beautiful time, with ice statues and crystallized trees. And dancing... It is amazing, I will not lie." He said and grinned. "Listen to me, I sound very similar to the ridiculously flambouyant man that lost his life last month... Do not tell the King of this."

Roxas smiled lightly. Just those few sentences made him want to go more and more. He just hoped he'd be around that long to be able to go. "Don't worry. I won't tell him." he said, not wanting to risk doing anything to get Axel in trouble. Even though they've only known each other for a short time, he decided he wasn't such a bad guy to be around.

Axel enjoyed being with the male. Not only was he cuter and more personable but for some reason Axel just.. wanted to be near him and to talk with him. "Did you enjoy your real life or do you feel this one will be better?" He asked and then as they made it through the clearing of trees to a lake he heeled the horse to stop. "You did well." He told the horse and slid off its back. "My horse recently was in surgery... His leg... was bad."

Roxas shrugged lightly. "It's about the same, I guess. My real life was a lot more difficult than being here, but being here seems kinda boring at times." he said, glancing back at Axel. When he seen that he had stopped, he made his horse stop too. He raised an eyebrow lightly, not having noticed. He wasn't around horses much though, so he wouldn't notice something like that. "I'm sorry to hear that."

"Oh no, don't be sorry, he's doing fine. He just can't be overworked yet." He said and then smiled, sticking his hands in his pockets. "It really is boring this time of year, especially for Sora. He doesn't get to do any decision making until festivals, or meet and greets. Auditions for his princess are really his only time he gets to fret about. And usually he goes psycho, we're pretty sure he just dislikes girls. He can't stand his maids." Axel knew he was gay, he also knew Sora was too. And Roxas just confused him. He denied having a girl but spoke nothing else of it. "What do you intend to be when you're out of here?"

Roxas was silent for a few moments, feeling sorry for Sora. He knew he'd hate to have no say in anything that goes on in or around his life and he didn't see how Sora was able to stand it. But this was the first he heard of the other being gay. He was sure that should have been something to mention in the notes, but there wasn't a word about it. Roxas shrugged lightly as he slid off his own horse to stretch his legs a little. "I haven't really thought much about it." he admitted. "I guess I'm just waiting for the right career to come along."

Axel nodded and let his horse drink for a moment as he started walking along the large rocks and boulders along the shore, meant to keep the pond the same size. He held out his arms to keep his balance and he made it to the top and back down again. "You could easily be an apprentice anywhere you go. Hell, do you want my job when I'm done? All I basically do is listen to what the king has to say and deliver his orders. It's pretty boring and you get free schooling. AND you get treated better than the prince, and you don't have to meet women every month you know you won't like. All prissy little whores..."

Roxas watched Axel with an amused expression on his face. He was tempted to just take a seat by the pond, but didn't want to sit down if they weren't going to be staying here long. He shook his head slowly. "No. I don't think I want your job. It doesn't sound like something I would want to do. But I might try to find an apprenticeship somewhere else." he said, shrugging lightly as he crossed his arms across his chest. He raised an eyebrow lightly. "You don't like girls very much?" he asked.

Axel knew he was taking a leap of faith by telling the male but he seemed kind enough. "I dont like girls at all, especially princess' because they are just riding ahigh horse I suppose." He wavered a moment as he started climbing back up, then regained his balance before falling butt first into the pond. he laughed and stood in the knee deep water, completely soaked. "Wow... oops."

"I see..." Roxas muttered. That must mean that Axel likes guys. But for some reason, he didn't feel uncomfortable around him. Maybe it's because he doesn't think he's the other's type because of how similar he looks to Sora. But once he fell into the water, Roxas couldn't stop a laugh from coming out. He quickly covered his mouth, thinking he shouldn't be laughing at him, but he just couldn't help it. "Sorry. I shouldn't laugh."

"You shouldn't be offended. It was funny. I have a sense of humor you know." He said then scooped up some water and threw it on the boy, laughing. "Don't you?!" He asked and slowly started his trek out of the pond.

Roxas smiled, wiping the water off his face. "Of course I have a sense of humor." he said, laughing lightly. He walked over to the edge of the pond and crouched down next to the water's edge. He watched Axel for a second before dipping his hand in the water and splashing the man in front of him.

Axel opened his mouth and gasped. "You did not!" He exclaimed and took a slow step forward, then tackled the male into the water, making sure he had enough mobility to not drown and could easily come up for air if need be. Axel laughed and crawled off the boy. "Teaches you to splash an innocent bystander!" He said and grinned, his eyes light and playful, and his hair drenched.

Roxas watched Axel approach him with weary eyes. The breath was knocked from his lungs as the he felt the water encase his entire body and he came up quickly for air. He shot a glare at Axel for a second, but it wavered and he laughed. "Innocent bystander? Yeah right."
