It didn't take long for him to gobble up his late breakfast, licking his lips, he at least wasn't messy like he was last time, and what littl mess there was was easily gotten with his long tongue. He meeped happily, his tummy much fuller than it had been. He pranced up to Airy butting his head against her hip in happiness.

Airy smiled and petted Kain. "After I put out the fire I think we should head in to town I know a few friends. Well they were friends of my fmaily I think they will hide us for a little while until you enough enough to fly on your own." Airy kissed Kain head. "You did way better this time in not making a mess." Airy smiled to Kain and petted him. (ok then so the whole time it was mind talk ok then)

"Friends? Beside me?" he wondered who these others were, surely they weren't more important than he? He bristled a the thought but easily calmed most of his worries away. The thought of being safe till he was bigger pleased him though. Then they could fly and go everywhere they wanted.

"Yeah they are friends of the family they know my mom and dad and twin before the attack." Airy smiled as he was putting out the fire then buriening it. "Well your my dragon you will alway be with me." Airy kissed the top of his dragon head. "Ready to head in to the town so we can be safe." Airy wonder how big Kain would be in the morning. "I think I will have to hide you in there barn your getting really bigger will your double in size tonight?"

he thought about how he was growing. He knew that dragons grew fast, and even faster if circumstances around them were dangerous. "probably, I should be fully grown within the week. Normally its a few weeks or a month, but dragons respond to the surroundings. Ours is a little dangerous so I am growing faster." He cocked his head at her, thinking. "that's okay isn't it?" He asked worried if she would miss his small size.

"Oh I'll missing being able to carry you in my arms but that can't be help." Airy giggled. "Its fine the soon you get bigger the soon we can leave this kingdom and go far away to safety. So you fouce on getting to full size ok" Once the fire wa sout and burried Airy hugged Kain and kissed his head. "Let go its this way."

He grinned in a dragon way, tongue slapping out, his mouth open. "Of course, Airy, I will go anywhere with you." He followed happily besides his bonded, his tail tip wagging. they walked on and on, he hoped they would reach wherever it was soon. He thought he smelled wood fire in the air, perhaps they were near a village or a farm?

Airy could smell the fire wood burning in the air. He know he was close to the village. They still need to becareful not to be seen. Airy moved with Kain around this farm house. They pass through the back forest skipping a totally of 10 farms in there long walk until they got to the friend og the family farm. Airy looked to Kain then to the barn. "I think I should hide you in the barn best not to let them know about you."

"that would probably be best" He said, nuzzling her hand with his head that was hanging down by her side. He hoped they would be safe for a while. He needed to be bigger in order for them to be safe in the open. He worried about hunters, and what harm they would do to them if they knew he was male. He refused to be forced to mate. He wanted to do so on his own. He knew it was important but for now his bonded was the most important person to him.

Airy hugged Kain and kissed his head. "See you soon." Airy watched Kain moved off to the barn before he moved to the front door and knocked on the door. He went for his fmaily friends to open up the door. Airy looks so much like his twin sister they really thought it was her.

A midage woman opened the door and saw Airy standing there. "Oh my dear Airy what are you doing here? Come in come in you most be cold being out side." She seem to welcome Airy in with open arms. (there a father a little older then the mother and Son about Airy age. Would you like to play one of them?)

he went were he was told, waiting in the barn. He found a good peep hole where he could watch his bonded go toward the house. He hrumphed a little in frustration about being parted, even if only for a little while.

the older man put a protective hand on Airy's shoulder. "what are you doin all the way here?" he asked puzzled.

Airy sighed and looked around. "I have been traveling for a very long time for a safe place to rest. My mom dad and twin brother are dead. I had no where else to go." Airy said. "I was hoping to stay with you just for a little before I travel some more to find a place I belong."

The family exclaimed shock and surprise. Questions were babbled out before the father hushed them.

" let the girl eat and rest first. We can find out more in the morning. Dear child you are of course welcome to stay as long as you like, permanently if that is what you would like." The man had a soothing voice and he tried to reassure the girl. Meanwhile his wife went to fetch some stew off the stove that was simmering.

Airy nodded then before she"he" enter he looked back at the barn knowing his dragon Kain was inside of it." He want to be with his dragon but this was the only way to keep them safe. Airy enter inside and looked around. "Its just as I rember it from when I was little." He looked around then moved in to the kitchen to sit at the table were wife was bring food in for him. "Thank you very much." Airy sound so much like a girl and the way he was dress and paddled right in the right spot really could fool any one." "Be careful now its very hot" The woman smiled to the young girl then looked to her Husband. She move over to him after placeing the bowl of soup and spoon on the table for the little girl. She whispered to her husband. "This is terrible I didn't know the Ishiba was caught up in the war for the terrorys. We can't let her go off on her own."

He nodded to his wife. He would do his best to make sure, the 'girl', stayed safe with them.


While it seemed like she was alright inside. The dragon nestled down behind some hay bales. He would try and get some sleep while he waited for his bonded to come and see him again.

Ariy finshed his meal then looked to the family. But when people were not looking he hiddeld some of the meat from the stew in a piece of a rag to take to his dragon Kain there. "May I please lay down I am so very sleepy and have not slept much because of wandering around the country on my own."

The mother looked to Airy. "Oh how rude of me my dear girl come come I will take you to the guest room to sleep for the night."
