(Wench? Do you mean that as servant girl or as a hooker?)
Keara smiled and laughed before she realized that someone had been singing with her, which caused her to pull the earphones out and turn her ipod off as she put it away, looking around to see who could have been doing that when she spotted the high school boy that had been looking at her as the one that had been singing along, or so she assumed. “Ye from the ole‘ sod? (Ole' sod meaning ireland)” she asked the boy, her emerald green eyes locked on him as she was clearly speaking to him, her Irish accent as heavy as it ever was. She saw Jason move and seat next to a girl that she didn’t notice get on the train, but then she could have been up there from the stop before so she didn’t put to much stock into the thought.
“I understand why, I hated being in there, I was going to go insane or at the very less kill my self if no one bought me and it was rather hard to step into another skin while in a cage.” Aiden said to her as he piled his plate full of food, using one hand to shove it into his mouth, he was basically inhaling the food. “A animal should never be cooped up it just makes them more dangerous then they are and makes them die faster.” he said in a matter of fact tone of voice, trying hard not to talk with his mouth full. He smiled at them and nodded his head as he chewed and swallowed what he had in his mouth so he wouldn’t be showing them chewed up food when he spoke once more. “I greatly appreciate it, but I have to ask why you choose me instead of the other ferrets that were there.”

(Wench does not mean hooker. The original meaning it was just another word for woman or girl. In his time, it was normal to cal females wenches.)
Shay smiles at the redhead, barely managing to keep the hunger from it. For the first time in a very long time, he let his own accent seep through when he spoke. His own seawater green eyes met her emerald ones. They are very pretty... His voice was deeper then it by right should be considering how he looks but he's found that it happens with high school kids these days so he is able to pass by with it. "Indeed, milady. Which bit are you from? I'm assuming you moved from there."

(that is why i was asking because i know that it means servant girl and can be used for a woman of the sexual working class)
"Limerick would be the nearest city to me home. Aye, i did move here from there." Keara said to him in Irish, slipping into it easily as she smiled, clearly excited and happy that there was someone that was like her, well Irish speaking in New York. She wasn't even fazed by his deep voice or the seawater green eyes that he had, she did however get up and go sit next to them so that no one else would have to be in the middle of their conversation.

(No worries. :) And it isn't a servant girl specifically. Its just girl. :P)
Shay was more then delighted when the woman sat next to him. If anyone was really paying attention, they would notice his nostrils flare as he took in her wonderful scent. He responded in kind, his tongue just as easily wrapping around his native tongue. "Beautiful city, Limerick. Did you live in the countryside there?"

(lol see i never knew that lol)
"Yes, i did live in the countryside there.....not one for the city as ironic as it is considering i am here." Keara said to him as she smiled, noticing that he he had the smell of the sea and of home on him, she on the other hand had the faint smell of the grassland from her home still lingering on her, other then that the new york city smell was more prominent on her with the lavender smell of the shampoo and body wash that she uses. "You smell of home." she whispered, her eyes welling up with tears, oh how she missed Ireland, the only sad thing was no matter where she was it would never be her home, it would never be Ireland.

Kamila shook her head. "I mostly stayed where some other demi-gods lived in a village of sorts. Not much contact with the current age. I know some things, but... Otherwise not much." she replied, slightly ashamed of not really being able to know things about the time. She was learning however. It worried her what he was saying. "So we can't really do anything about it?" she asked, almost sighing. This was not good.
Selene had gone to a Subways and ordered herself a meal. Now she was listening to the news on the radio. Apparently there were some odd happenings underground. Random shakes and other such things. Above the ground and near the water, there were also odd things happening. She almost gave a small smile. Seemed that the others of her kind were becoming more active. No doubt they'd heard about the upcoming demi-gods.

Inside, Shay was fluttering about with glee. He couldn't have asked for more to fall into his lap. On the outside, however, his face had a sad expression and he hesitantly put a hand on her shoulder as comfort. "I'm sorry. If it helps, you do as well. If you miss it so much, why are you still here?"
Omut sighs. "I'm sorry to be so...harsh about it. Its just that in this day and age, things are so different from what we used to know, I don't think there is much of a chance to get more then maybe a few followers. And I doubt that will get the goal the gods are aiming for." He frowns. "I'm sorry, lady. I'm not the most optimist type. I see things how they are and can't do anything different." Nor can anyone else it seems. Omut would have growled if he could have. Only thing he didn't like about himself was that lying was impossible, for him, and mostly for people around him.

Dorinda nodded biting into a piece of bacon before folding it into a piece of bread and finishing it. "Cruelty to animals. That's what I don't get about the animal activist groups. They say they want to help and I know they mean well but they aren't arguing their cases well and some of them even support zoos." She sighed running her hand through her hair. She had liked the farm before her parents had thrown her out on her ass. She had had to say goodbye to her horse, Ran. She hadn't been to see her parents in a while. Made her wonder how they were. Shaking her head she folds the toast in front of her. "Dunno, seemed like a good idea. We lost our dog in the flood. I know they were upset even if this one, " Dorinda punches Jaden in the shoulder. He returned it with a small look of disbelief. "Doesn't act like it. I just saw you first really."She shrugged.
"What she means is that she saw you, maybe a shimmer, ripple. She's drawn to magic, well some magic. And she has always been able to see through it." Jaden leans against the counter, leaning on his arm. Dorinda gives him a stern look.
" Stay outta my head boy. You were up last night playin' that game weren't ya?" Jaden shakes his head but even so he leans against the counter, his forehead against the marble surface. Dorinda raised and eyebrow at him but ignores him. "No I haven't always." Jaden just grunts. "It was other Jaden's fault. Didn't see nothin' till I met him."
-------------------------------------------------
Jason laughed spontaneously. He shook his head at their conversation. He was still listening in on his brother's conversation. Technically they had stayed up to play WoW but he had fallen asleep way before Jaden had even gotten off the computer. He had realized a while ago that was how Jaden got over his small fear of people and that he loved that game. It was just funny watching his stoic brother get excited over a game. He could feel Jaden's annoyance seeping through their link and he gripped his head lightly. But it didn't stop him from chuckling.
In a better mood he turned to the girl he was sitting next to. He held out his hand to her with a smile. "Hello. I'm Jason."

Tejina, still shy, wasn't sure what to do then. Shake the hand? Seemed like a normal type of greeting she read or heard about. With that thought in mind the action was made as pathetically done as possible as her hand didn't go very far into his. "H-hi. Nice to meet you. My name's Tejina." She was using her ultra polite voice with her slight British accent, almost losing it completely by this time. And her voice was soft, almost a whisper, but still heard even over the noise in the subway. Her voice did that with any first meeting. She was trying to get out of that habit, though.

Keara was just as excited as Shay was, after all it wasn’t often that she ran into some one that knows how to speak Irish and came from Ireland them self, it was rare for her and she loved to spend as much time as she could with them if it was possible. “No, I been here for a couple of years so all smell of home is gone from me. Well you see things have been hard for my family back home so I am here to make some good money and send it back to them to help them out……they are about to lose the farm so I am working here to help them save it….if I don‘t I won‘t have a home to go back too.” she said to him as she gave him a smile, trying to reassure him as much as her self that there was no point for her to go back now when she still had to help them out.
Aiden was busy eating his food, having piled his plate high with the food that she had made, which showed how hungry that he was. “Those people are idiots….don‘t know how the animals feel about it all is what those people‘s problem is. To be honest they are waiting for the right time to break out and take them all out.” he said to them, having spent some time in the zoos him self, blinking when he heard what she said when she talked about why she had picked him, it made him laugh really considering it was better then some fake lie that people would give. “Well then….” he was going to say more but Jaden had spoke up and told him what she had really meant and what he said about her. “Hmmm…wouldn‘t have thought I gave a shimmer or ripple off considering I don‘t really have a true form….not anymore.” he said to them, basically saying that he was nothing but a creature, magic to say the very least or something along those lines. “Well that explains about the creatures or something you always run into.”

Shay listened to her with his head properly cocked like he was really interested in what she was saying, though in his heart there wasn't a drop of sympathy for her. "I suppose that would make sense. Very noble of you too. Why is it taking so long for it to happen though? Haven't you been here long enough to make enough funds for them? Oh, what stop are you getting off at?"

Keara was about to reply to him but the train came to a stop as the ground shook, the next thing that she knew the power went out and their was a cave in. Towards the from of the train, of course their was screaming and she just grabbed the nearest person next to her which was Shay as she buried her face into her arm as she clung to him. "I hate the dark....." she whispered to him as it sounded like she was about to cry.

Shay didn’t know whether he wanted to laugh or whoop for joy. This really couldn’t have turned out any better for him. Instead he put an arm around the young woman and gave a gentle squeeze. His voice seemed to echo in the darkness a little bit., the deepness soothing. “It’ll be okay, sweet. The dark can’t hurt you.” But I can. “Just stay calm and we’ll get through this.” Her scent floated up and his nostrils flared as they often do. She smelled so beautiful, so much like home. How he wanted to go home, to the old ways, to the way things used to be. And he was so hungry.

Keara shivered, she didn't like the dark, she hated it in fact, the only reason that she rode the subway is because it was faster to travel around that way and they always had lights on so it wasn't so bad for her in that way, not only that she was trying to conquer her fear. "I...." she couldn't even think of what to say to him, she was that afraid, she even started to hyperventilate, even as she tried to calm down like he said, she just wasn't feeling it as she silently started to cry as she clung to him. She would have been fine if she hadn't had a bad experience when she was little at night time.
