"Don't talk about the king that way." Drannor defended his king. He had the upmost respect and loyalty for the king. Without him, the Sea Elf kingdom would be in shambles, and the king had even saved him himself from a terrible fate. He owed the king a lot and respected him deeply. Drannor narrowed his eyes, not likeing the princess' chosen words. "And I seriously hope you're not thinking of trying to overthrow him, Princess Finx..."

Kai watched as none other than the king of Mermaids himself came in the girl's room. "Don't tell me... this girl's a princess." He said, seeing as how he's said 'dear'. Of course! So that's where he knew her from! She was the princess! Just then, two guards came up behind him a ways. "Hey, you!" They shouted. "What are you doing here on royal ground! Get him!" Kai gave into a smile. "Ut-oh." He said, before swimming off. What an interesting day this was starting to be.

Angela ate with her parents then swam up to her room. She sat down and read a book.

Finx shook her head "No i won't do that I want the sea to claim him as it's own" She looked away "Of all the things the sea should not have let happen my father was one of them that day uncle shouldn't have died father should have." She had always liked her uncle more and he took care of her in a way she felt her father didn't

Drannor knew that Princess Finx didn't always agree with the king, and that they often fought, but didn't know of her past standing with her uncle, and true relationship with her dad. But even so, Drannor himself saw how much the king cared for his daughter, which was why he was here now: assigned by the king to protect her with his life. "You know he cares about you." He told her. "That's why I'm here in the first place. Because he doesn't want anything bad to happen to you."

As it got darker out with it getting late, Kai managed to find his way back to the Mermaid castle. This time, he knew where the guards posts were and could easily avoid them. He went back up to the room where he's seen the princess, looking in the window. And there she was, reading a book.

She was beautiful. No wonder she was a princess. Kai was so enamored with her, even trying to see what book she was reading, that his tail-fin accidentally knocked off a vase from the window. It was a heavy vase and fell to the ground on the inside of her room. Kai quickly ducked down below the window, as to not be seen, silently cursing under his breath for being so careless; very unlike him.

Angela looked up and saw the vase. "Stupid vase always falling" she said to herself and began cleaning it up.

Kai slowly peeked over the window to watch her clean it below. 'Phew.' He thought in mind. 'That was close.'

Finx snorted "Yeah make the most annoying guard watch you're daughter who hates annoying people. Way to go dad big a for that one." She shook her head "i didn't want to you I wanted someone else but does he listen of course not." she folded her arms across her chest "I'm going for a swim and so help me if you follow me...lets just say it wont be pretty." she swam away mumbling to herself.

"Princess Finx, for the last time, you mustn't swim off like that!" But it was too late; she was already a good ways away. Drannor let out a sigh. She really didn't like the king, did she? Or him for that matter. Still, weather she liked him or not, he had a job to do. He swam after her, but made her to keep a good distance: for both of their sakes. If she got into trouble, he'd be there, but until then, it was obvious the princess needed her space. And so did Drannor, for that matter.

Soon, having heard a loud noise, the guards came back. It was getting was too risky to simply hang around this castle. Kai knew eventually he'd be caught. And he couldn't have that. Not with his reputation to keep up. "I'll be back..." He whispered to the princess, though he knew she couldn't hear him. He then swam off again.

He decided to go to a sunken pirate ship. It was a good place to rest, he found, and he'd stayed there for a while. But along the way, he spotted those two Sea Elves again. "Hmm... they're getting pretty close to Mermaid territory." He said to himself as he watched. "I wonder if they know that."

The girl had swam on ahead a good ways, so Kai swam up to the man. "Hi there~" He greeted with a smile, a hand in the air as a wave.

Drannor quickly pulled his weapon in the direction of the voice, now seeing that it was another Mermaid of all creatures. "Stop where you are!" He said with the tip of his blade pointed at him.

"Hey, whoa!" Kai said, now holding up both hands in defense. "I was just going to warn you that you're getting close to the man city!" This guy seemed deadly, that was for sure. Honestly, he understood the hostilities between Mermaids and Sea Elves, but he'd always figured himself a rogue at heart, so had no obligation to either faction. But at the same time, it wasn't like anyone else knew that...

Drannor growled. "I know that." He said, having warned Finx about it time and time again, but to no avail on her part. He had no choice but to follow her. She was just too stubborn for her own good, and now might get the both of them killed.

"Do you now?" Kai questioned, placing his hands back down. He gave a somewhat teasing smile. "So you're going to start a war then? Just the two of you?"

It was now obvious that this merman knew of Finx's presense, even if she was ahead of them a ways. Drannor took his weapon and jabbed it at the merman with a yell. He was a threat to the princess and had to die.

Kai quickly dogged the attack with his agile body. "Hey now, that's just uncalled for!" He said, backing up a ways. "Why so hostile?" He looked back to the girl, and a smile came. "Oh, I think I get it now~"

Oh great, so now he knew their secret too...! "Die, you!" Drannor yelled, bringing his weapon up to clash upon the merman's skull. There was no way he could let him live now.

"Whoa!" Kai dodged the attack again, though barely, the blade having made a whooshing sound right by his head. This was getting dangerous! And so this time Kai fought back a little, bringing his tail-fin up to slap across the Sea Elf's face to detract him, only to no sooner take off, swimming away in retreat. "See ya, body guard~!" He called out with a grin.

Drannor backed up with a fin in his face. He put a hand to his face, the fin having scratched him some. When he removed his hand and opened his eyes, the merman was already a good distance away, yelling back at him. "Stop where you are!" He yelled back, instantly swimming after him. "You won't get away!"

"Jeez, this guy's persistent!" Kai said to himself as he continued swimming. Maybe it was a bad idea to go help them out! He continued to swim, weaving in and out of rocks with holes in them and such, as if it were some kind of game. "Too slow, body guard~" He called out as he swam.

Finx swam away from the territory edge nowing she would get in trouble if she accidently crossed it. She slowly made her way to a little hiding place planning to find out if dran had followed her. To anyone else it looked like she just vanished but it fact she was hidden in a creak just big enough for her and waited. "Is it just me or did this creavice get smaller." She mumbled to herself.

Angela sat on her bed. She decided to braid her hair. She began braiding, putting in star fish and shells for decoration.
