Evvie let the other girl walk ahead of her and enjoy the spacious area especially designed for birds, due to Flammia preferring them. Evvie's own bat awoke as she entered, flying to land sleepily on Evvie's shoulder and snuggle against her throat. He was no bigger then her hand but had the strength of a phoenix due to experiments preformed by Evvie's adopted father. It was also more intelligent then an average bat and able to sense Evvie's presence at all times but it could not speak nor did it have any sort of special power other then the ability to carry things heavier then it should.

Evvie didn't seem to notice, however, or even Izzy for a moment. She only reacted as she was questioned directly about the uniform. She was still blushing and her mind was downstairs... and filled with the feeling of Al's lips against her shoulder. She shook her head as if to clear it, nearly knocking poor Shadow loose. Shadow gripped her hair and made a small chirp of annoyance before burying itself in her hair once more. She focused on Izzy, inwardly telling herself that Al was just a flirt and hadn't meant anything by it. She didn't think of herself as particularly beautiful or anything...

"I... I like them. But I've always had a thing for star and moon patterns and the night sky and things like that." She responded finally as she took Izzy's hand and lead her to her own dorm room. She would close it behind them and the parrot so that Izzy would have some privacy. She would begin to look through her uniforms. She had some from last year that she hadn't gotten around to donating... It was slightly smaller in the bust but not by much... oh well.

"You'll have to take off your coat and put this on. Then i can adjust it to fit you better" She said quietly. She began to adjust the size of uniform she'd taken out. She could use a mimic spell to make a few other uniforms match it so that Izzy would have extras. For now she did some basic altering that she could tell by eye so it would be close to right but until izzy put it on she couldn't get it perfect. Evvie was good but nobody was perfect. Shadow meanwhile was sleeping quite contently in Evvie's hair, his favorite place to sleep.

As Evie answered her questions, Izzy continued to stare at everything, only snapping out of her entrancement when the prefect grabbed her hand and began pulling her. Coza was too busy to really translate, so most of what Evie said was lost on the poor girl she was hauling behind her, though she didn't seem to mind much from her silence. Whenever they got into the room though, Coza landed on her shoulder again and began speaking to her in the dead language. Then she nodded and smiled, appearing rather eager to see the uniforms.

Overall, she seemed rather pleased with the uniforms when they were revealed to her, though her silence was really quite ambiguous. It could easily be taken either way if someone lacked the knowledge that she didn't speak much English. When they were given to her, she obeyed and took off her coat, enviably comfortable changing in front of someone else as she dressed with the uniform. It did actually take her several tries to get it right though, having never had the type of clothing that most of the world did due to her tribe's isolation. But again, she was clever, so it didn't take her more than a few moments to figure it out.

Once dressed, she stood for inspection, Coza having moved onto to a desk nearby. He was eyeing the bat on top of Evie's head a bit strangely, a fact that prompted Izzy to shift into her second sight. That allowed her to see that the energy in the bat was noticeably different from a regular fruit bat, though Coza's energy outshone him due to the shared magic that they had together. Regardless, there was nothing wrong with the bat, so Izzy returned her sight to normal, blinking up at Evie while Coza preened himself. Coza had simply directed his attention to the bat so that Izzy would notice it, as she was rather oblivious at times of excitement.

Shadow was too busy being half asleep to notice the stare and Evvie was already in professional tailor mode so didn't notice either. She was surprised by Izzy's reaction, or rather lack of it but she simply shrugged and went to work. She would adjust the uniform with a few well placed spells and soon it would look like it was made specifically for izzy. She had to admit the other girl looked adorable in the uniform and it made her smile. She would soon pull out three more uniforms and with a few mimic spells they were sized and adjusted exactly the same as the one she wore.

"There you go. You can add any hat that is mainly black and any other accessory you like. I hope it's comfortable.Lets go put them in your room" She said cheerfully, still not sure if the other girl liked them or not. She gave her a small sweet smile, however, and picked up the other uniforms. She would take them to the other girl's room once she was ready to follow and put them in the provided golden wardrobe. She wondered if the girl was settled yet and had been in the room before...

"I'll have to get my wand making friend here later. He'll be able to make a wand suited to you and you alone. It will help you learn magic here. He always wants a present when he comes though so I'll have to be off. If you have any questions call out for Claudia. She's one of the other prefects. She's stern but fair. Or send shadow for me" She explained once Izzy got comfortable enough she felt okay with leaving her. With one last cautious look at the other woman she would place a sleepy Shadow on his perch before heading out of the tower.

She headed quickly to the kitchen then. The Pixies they used would quickly shoo away and sit on the shelves to watch. They liked watching her bake. You see when Evvie baked she sang and her voice was true, beautiful, and held the innocence the pixies were naturally attracted too. She was soon mixing the recipe for her 'uncle's' favorite cookies. He wasn't really her uncle but just one of her adoptive father's many friends. They all doted on her though like she was family. She smiled at the thought of being back home in her own kitchen with her adoptive father in the next room. She'd learned to bake mainly because he worked too hard but the scents would lure him out.

Softly she began to sing a small song. It sounded rather old fashioned and was likely one her adoptive father had taught her. It was sweet and soft and gentle. The pixies snuggled into their nests against the shelves and lay back to enjoy. Meanwhile Evvie continued to measure out each ingredient and then mixing them into the large bowl. She would make a big enough of a batch to share some with the girls in the dorm. They always liked that...

Following Evie to her room, Izzy continued looking at everything with the same young wonder in her eyes as before. The scenery was so luxurious that she wasn't sure if she would ever get used to it. Her amazement only grew when she reached her room and realized that it was hers and hers alone. Having grown up with nothing but the bare necessities, it was sort of unbelievable that she would have so much all to herself. Her shock was probably not obvious to Evie, as her reaction barely changed, but her nod seemed just a tad different from before, essentially being the same as speechless for her.

Despite her shock, she went about settling in rather quickly, literally testing and examining everything for several minutes before plopping onto the bed and pulling her book from her coat. The pages were unlike anything that most of the people in the dorm would have ever seen: bark from the inside of fig trees. Her writing would also be impossible for them to read considering that it was all written in Nahuatl, the only language she could read and write. Most of the entries were poems and songs, though she did have a play in the making, which was what she began working on. Several simple sketches appeared occasionally among the pages of the script; her depictions of the characters and setting. Her drawings were by no means amazing, but the play more than made up for it, being of a quality nearing Shakespeare. Dancing and acting also came easily to her, being trained to perform in various ceremonies from a young age.

As the minutes passed, her stylus moved quickly, completing the words and phrases that made up her play. The words themselves looked an awful lot like Chinese at first, though a closer look would reveal more similarities to the Egyptian hieroglyphics. Additionally, she used various colors of ink for different things, providing more clarity when the pictographs looked similar to one another. While Coza slept on a perch he had located among the room, Izzy continued scribbling away, smudges from ink accumulating on her face as she worked.

She pulled her hair into a long loose braid and soon all the ingredients were mixed, then she was putting them onto a cookie sheet. She would make the cookies in the shapes of large moons and stars, as was a habit of hers. Each cookie was about the size of Evvie's palm She continued to sing softly, unaware of almost anything going on around her. She was only focused on making each cookie perfect, every point crisp. She did not use any cookie cutters but instead used her hands. In the center of each she would add a small candy similar to a muggles peanut butter m and m.

Satisfied she put the cookies in the oven to bake and perched on a chair nearby. The oven was one with a glass front so she could see the cookies and she watched them closely. She wanted to make sure to take them out at just the right moment. She sat with her arms on the back of the chair and her head on her arms. There was a small contented smile as her hair fell over her shoulder, a few strands escaping from the braid as they always did and laying against her cheek. She looked utterly happy and relaxed, more so then she ever did out among other people.

After nearly a half-hour, Izzy stretched, closing her book with the stylus before setting it aside and standing. A yawn ripped from her throat as she stretched again, the lean muscles extending to their limit under her uniform. Once finished, she climbed back onto her bed, contemplating what to do next when her stomach roared, waking Coza and alerting her that she needed food. With a frown, she hopped up and made her way downstairs, ignoring the glances from the other students. Coza was on her shoulder of course; he was her translator, so he was kind of vital to her ability to communicate effectively.

Using her second sight, she followed Evie's trail of energy to the kitchens, a little surprised that she had an energy trail. But she was wearing Evie's old clothes, so her pathfinding worked just fine. It wasn't really her ability to see colors that determined that, but a sort of shamanism that she had been taught by her mentor back when her tribe was still around. Regardless, she eventually found the kitchens and entered them, hoping to find some food somewhere. Evie's presence didn't really surprise her considering she hadn't seen the energy leave the room. Instead, she was actually kind of glad that she was there. "Foods?" she asked, keeping it simple. Hopefully they had some maize, tomatoes, and chili peppers. With those three things, she could make a full meal.

Seeing that the two girls were gone from the table, Al smiled, grabbed an orange, and set off after them. He had promised to meet them at the dorm after all, and he never fell through on his promises. It took him a while to reach the door itself, though that was really only because he took his time. Once there though, he was surprised to see that the door hadn't opened for them yet. "Oh! Do we have an issue here?" he asked, eyeing them both before turning to the door. Placing his hands to the door, he set his ear against it and listened, moving his hands around.

"Yes! That's what the problem is," he declared, standing and pulling his wand out. "The door is locked." Somebody must have thought it funny to terrify the first years by locking the door. Probably some second or third year of course, but he didn't say anything. He simply pulled his wand out and disabled the simple charm. Really, it was only a basic charm, so it normally wouldn't have fooled a second year, if it had been a regular door. Magical doors were often a lot more finicky. Still, once the spell was disabled, the door opened automatically, revealing a few sheepish Laure students who darted off when they saw that Al was a prefect.

"There we are!" he exclaimed, gesturing widely to the Quartz Lake, mainly for Alessa's benefit. The dorm itself, the Crystal Castle stood up away from the lake by a few yards. The sparkling nature of the dorm seemed to give it a supernatural beauty, and so Al let the girls admire it, not knowing if Finx appreciated it or not. After several moments, he asked, "Ready to move on?"

~~~~
Finishing off her apple, Mel thought back to the strangely-dressed girl from before. She had heard her freak out over something, but hadn't been sure what and seeing the two prefects handling it had kept her from attempting to help. Still, she felt rather guilty. It wasn't often that she failed to help someone in need; it was against her nature. Determining to apologize later, Mel stood and began walking to the kitchens. She had a habit of thanking the wonderful pixies for the delicious meals that they cooked for the students. After that, she would go back to working on her garden, which was one of her main hobbies along with gymnastics, martial arts, and dancing. Anything that got her active and moving she loved to death.
When she opened the door, she was a little surprised to see two Clematis; the strange girl from before with her parrot and Evie. The difference in the young girl's appearance due to the uniform almost kept Mel from recognizing her, so it took her a few seconds to register who it was. When the door opened however, they looked to her questioningly. "S-Sorry!" she blurted out, turning away and stepping aside the door. She really, really hoped she hadn't interrupted anything, and as she stood there fidgeting, she waited for them to finish whatever it was they had been doing. Still, she wouldn't leave until she had thanked the pixies, and apologized to the girl, properly.
Sitting at the Rudbecki table, Rai had his feet propped up on an empty chair across from him, a toothpick moving around in his mouth. His attention, however, was on Ai, who was talking to a bird. She was definitely rather aloof and quiet, but that didn't stop Rai from thinking about her. He still hadn't identified his feelings, but he didn't really spend a lot of time on it either. He didn't even understand where the frustration he felt occasionally came from, though he had linked it to the sixth year girl. Once again, the thought that he had been charmed or something came to him, but he knew that she wasn't one to do that.
Feeling said frustration begin welling up inside of him, he grabbed his sword and left, practically storming out. The training room at his dorm held various dummies to practice swordsplay on, and that was where he went. An hour or two of sword training really helped relieve that pent-up frustration that he felt every so often. He couldn't help but feel that it was linked to Ai somehow, though how exactly was beyond him. He simply kept walking, the black obsidian of the Rudbecki dorm matching his current mood perfectly.
Evvie was unaware that certain abilities she had might leave an energy trail for those with the gift as Izzy was the first other person she'd ever found who had it too. Even if she had she wouldn't have thought anything of it, her mind instead on the cookies. The magical ovens of Wisteria did cause things to cook faster but that just meant she had to watch it closer. Sure she had cooked in them enough to know the exact time needed but she was a perfectionist when it came to baking. She wanted it to be perfect... Briefly she thought of who else might like some and unbidden Al's face came to mind. She pushed away the thought quickly just as she heard first one girl enter and then another.
"Yes... you'll find just about any type of food in these kitchens. ...and oh, hello" She responded to izzy first and then greeted the other girl. She'd seen her around before but not really had much time to interact with her. She smiled politely at them both before she looked back to the cookies. She didn't seem to be aware that it might seem rood, her obsessiveness with her baking being 'perfect' making her even more socially awkward then she could be some other times.
"Would you girls like a couple cookies when they're done? She asked to show she didn't mean to rude. She would watch the cookies closely until finally they were ready. She would quickly get out the first batch and prepare a second to put in the oven. She always made a few. Two to send home, one for the girls in the dorm, and one extra just in case. She smiled to herself as she glanced at the cookies, they had come out perfectly. They just needed to cool a little now so they wouldn't get all crumbly.
Nodding when Coza translated Evie's words more clearly, Izzy went to the cupboards and began rummaging for some maize, tomatoes, and peppers, oblivious to the bewildered pixies who were watching Evie. After a few moments, she found a bunch of dried blue maize as well as the other ingredients she had been searching for. Then she obtained a bowl and went about plucking the yellow corn from the cob before dropping them into the bowl. Once she had two or three cobs taken care of, she took a pestle-esque object and began grinding it up. Once the corn meal was ready, she added some water to make the masa, or dough. Then came the kneading, and after that, the frying. She used a spare stove with some help from one of the pixies, and prepared approximately a dozen of the white tortillas.
Once they were ready, she prepared the tomato sauce, carefully mixing in the onions, mushrooms, peppers, and spices before setting it aside. A bit of beef was heated and spiced up as well, followed by the cheese being shredded. Once everything was taken care of, she spread the tomato sauce on the tortilla, and then added the beef and cheese. Once all was said and done, the aroma created only by Mexican food filled the kitchen as they cooled.
Izzy wasn't quite done, however, as she went about making more corn meal, this time with blue corn. The batch, however, was around twice as much and separated into two bowls. The first bowl was fried like the white tortillas had been, though they were of a distinctly blueish color. To these, she added chocolate, strawberries, and the whipped cream she had found in the fridge. Those were clearly for dessert.
But she continued, taking the second bowl and toasting it while she boiled water with cinnamon sticks. Then the toasted corn meal was placed in mugs while the boiling water was poured over them and mixed together. The cinnamon sticks were broken up in the process, and she added in vanilla and more whipped cream, discovering that she had a strong liking for the strange substance, while it was still hot. It was only obvious that she was cooking for more than one person when she revealed that there were three mugs with the steaming liquid.
Without offering an explanation, she set three plates out next to the mugs, offered up a small prayer of thanks, and then began eating, taking three of both kinds of tortillas for herself at first, leaving a grand total of eighteen still on the two plates. "Eat," she said, speaking to both Evie and Mel, though she wasn't sure if they would like it. The dinner tortillas weren't really spicy to her standards, having been unable to find any of the spicy ingredients she would normally use. To the question about cookies, Izzy nodded, understanding that phrase while Coza devoured some seeds he had found.
~~~~

Hearing Evie speak to her, Mel poked her head back around the door, a rosy color covering her face. "You're sure?" she asked, though the look on Evie's face seemed to answer for her, prompting the Gerani to enter the kitchen. She waved at the pixies, a little embarrassed to say thanks in front of others. They understood though, so it wasn't like it mattered much. Mel, though not hungry, felt that it would be rude to decline the offer of food from the two Clemati girls, and so found herself sitting at the island, a small counter in the middle of the kitchen, while they ate. The tortillas were just a tad spicy, but otherwise very good, and she found herself wondering where the girl had learned how to cook. She had made tortillas from corn for Gerani's sake!

If she thought that the dinner tortillas were good, she was speechless at the dessert ones. The sweet flavor was incredible, and she found herself reaching for more before she could help it, eliciting a giggle and a grin from Izzy, who had finished already and was nibbling on a cookie. Despite herself, Mel grinned back, happy to make someone else happy. "Evie, you have to try these. They're amazing!" she declared, setting a fourth on on her plate before grabbing her fork and cutting it. Her judgement also included the atole, which was delicious despite looking eerily similar to gruel. It was thin and tinged with sweetness just like the blue tortillas were.

Evvie was so focused on her cookies she didn't notice the other woman cooking. She would be finished nod as the other woman said she needed to try it. She blushed slightly, always surprised by how many people knew her name. She said nothing, however, needing to focus on the cookies. Once she had completed all her batches and set them on the cooling rack she would turn to the food izzy had made. The whole kitchen still smelled of her cookies, it often did for as long as it took to cool, so she didn't know what to expect.

Not one for spicy food she didn't seem to think much about the tortilla dish but she gave a polite thank you anyway. The desert, however, was clearly much more to her liking and she gave the other woman a warm smile. She licked her lips slightly as she finished, not wanting to miss a drop. Her mind again switched to the cookies and Al came to mind again. It would just be a thank you gift right? Nothing special...

She pushed away the thought, however, she couldn't! The other girls who liked him would be mad at her.... She didn't want to make anyone upset. So instead she simply grabbed a few of the chocolate and peanut butter cookies for each girl. They were enchanted to appear silver and glow slightly to match the moon and star motif. She smiled at both, hoping they would like them. She hadn't found many who disliked her cookies... She did warn them if they were allergic to chocolate or peanut better they shouldn't eat them, however.

Izzy felt pleased that everyone had seemed to at least be able to eat her food, even if they didn't care for it. She stood as the tortillas were finished up, grabbing more corn to prepare for Coza. The vibrantly colored bird absolutely adored corn, so it was a good treat for him. While she worked though, she finished off the cookies Evie had given her, her tummy satisfied completely with all the food that she had given it. Upon finishing, she gave a shrill whistle, calling Coza to her shoulder, and left waving goodbye to Evie and Mel. Believing Evie to be busy still, she didn't bother waiting around and went to the Clemati dorm, specifically her room. Her play was almost finished, and she really wanted to get it done. The excitement of accomplishment was very powerful after all.

Once in her room, she plopped back on the fluffy bed and grabbed her book and stylus, opening it to where she had left off before continuing. It took a few moments to gather her muse, but then she was flying. Within ten minutes, the work that had taken her months was finished, leaving her with a self-satisfied sensation that tingled all over her body, which was strangely accompanied by an urge to show it to someone, even though they wouldn't be able to read the language. So she decided to wait to see if Evie came around, hoping that she did. At least she would be able to see it, and maybe even listen to it.

~~~~
Taking Evie's cookie, Mel ate it slowly, her stomach full to almost bursting. At the offer of more, she declined. "I'm so stuffed!" she exclaimed, leaning back in the chair and sighing. "You two are amazing. All I can do is gymnastic stuff and gardening." As Izzy left, Mel stared after her, her curiosity combining with her full belly to get the best of her. Evie seemed to be thinking about something an awful lot though, so she held off asking for several minutes, simply watching as Evie went about caring for the cookies she was baking.
When the prefect was finally finished, Mel asked, "So what's... Izzy, was it? What's her story?" While she asked, she propped her chin on her hands, looking at Evie innocently. She didn't mean to gossip, or to slander the petite girl. She just wanted to know more about her. If Mel was one thing, it was a people-lover. Their individual stories and personalities were absolutely fascinating to the Gerani girl. That was actually how she knew Evie, though it really wasn't like a lot of other people didn't. Prefects really had no privacy after all.
Ciaran felt frustrated with himself and decided to go somewhere more peaceful to draw or just think. As he was making his way towards one of the dining hall exists his companion Mia stopped by another of the Clemati house members. The cat looked up at the girl then back at Ciaran who was still walking. She mewed to get his attention. Hearing the meow he stopped and looked back to see what the problem was. “Mia, come on it’s time to go. I’m sorry if she’s bothering you.” He apologized to the girl how he recognized as one of the second years and he believed her name was Alice.
Evvie let Izzy leave with a small wave, hoping she had made the girl feel welcome. She then sat down a moment as she let the cookies cool and perched on the edge of a chair. She tended to sit like that.... Like she was a little bird ready to take flight at any time. It was one reason that many had the thought she was so vulnerable and felt the urge to protect her. She had to think a moment over how to answer the other girl.
"I'm really not sure myself. She doesn't seem to be very experienced with the wizarding world so any help you can give her would be nice" She said with a sweet smile. She didn't know the other girl well enough to know she would be inclined to do so... she was just that naive. She would turn and begin putting the now cool enough cookies into small decorative bags that were enchanted against crumbling and then put them into boxes. She made more then usual now.
She handed the unlabeled one to the girl, saying she could eat them later or share them with her house. It was the smallest one. She then made four others. One was labeled Clemati, one was labeled with the wand maker's name, one was labeled with her adoptive father's name... and one she wrote out Al's full name. She paused and stared at it when she realized what she'd done. She quickly pushed it aside as if intending to do nothing with it. She'd take the tag off later...
She then whistled for her bat who would get ready to carry the wand maker's and her 'father's' to the men to whom they belonged. She also added a letter to the wand maker's box so he would know to come. He never could refuse a request sent with her cookies. She then put the Clemati one in her bag and simply left the one with Al's name on the counter. She'd give it to the pixies...yeah... that's it. She then sat across from the Gerani girl again and gave her a smile. She'd wait in the kitchen for her bat to return. He could fly faster then the average owl or bat so she didn't expect it to take long.
((if Cia is frustrated he should come get cookies XD. She still has a few extra on the table to eat ^.^))
"Hmmm... Maybe I'll go talk to her later," Mel responded, looking after where she had gone. She already knew that she would be helping her out if she ever needed it. That was who she was after all. "I'd love to get to know her. She's kind of sweet." Turning back to Evie in time to see her write Al's name on a bag of cookies, Mel raised one eyebrow in puzzlement. Then the other girl's indifference helped clear it up enough for Mel to pass it off as a simple mistake. Al had that effect on a lot of girls in the school. The bat that came flying in also wasn't really all that surprised. A lot of students possessed animals after all.
With Evie looking like she was getting ready to leave, Mel stood up and waved goodbye, thanking the older girl profusely for the cookies as she slipped out of the kitchens and towards the Gerani dorm. Her garden needed a good bit of water, some weeding, and just some general all around loving. She didn’t really plan on eating any more of the cookies herself, intending completely to give them to her dorm mates. That much sugar wasn’t good for anyone. So she just put the box in her bag as she walked to the dorm, humming slightly to herself.
When she reached the dorm, she moved to one of the magical circles of flowers and allowed herself to be lifted up to the bridges, smiling at the breeze that came with it. Wind was her favorite aspect of weather after all. Upon entering the dorm itself, she set the cookies on a coffee table and opened them, writing a quick note that they were up for grabs. Then she turned and left again, traveling back to her garden. It certainly took a bit of upkeep, but she had made arrangements with the herbology professor to have class herself two days out of the five a week. The professor had seen her skill and agreed that it was more useful to learn independently in such a case. So, she found herself staring at her garden; a blank canvas ready to be painted upon.
The dark brown, moist soil had been tilled already, which meant that it was ready for seeds. Pulling out a few seed packets that one would find in any muggle store, Mel opened a few and began planting. Of course the seeds weren’t vegetables or fruits. Instead, they were herbs and other plants that held magical qualities, and most of them were quite useful in potions class. Once that was all finished, Mel, sweating liberally by then, took to the path she had grown around the garden. The bushes were vibrant and lively, but the flowers were tightly closed. They would need water and some loving before theyw were ready to open. So she grabbed the watering can and began watering them, losing herself in the fantastic work.
((I decided the pixies have decided to be tricky because I'm bored xD.))
Evvie
Evvie said good bye to the other woman and inwardly thought she was a nice girl. It was exactly a surprise why she would end up in Gerani as her uniform had shown. She nodded to herself and sat back down before she nibbled some of her own cookies she'd left out for herself. She had settled in for a good wait when she noticed movement out of the corner of her eye. Four pixies were zooming out of the room holding something. It was so fast she didn't notice what it was until she looked at a suspicious empty space on the counter... Al's box! She couldn't let anyone see it!
She raced from the table, wand out to try and capture the box but the pixies had surrounded it with their own magic. Breaking the shield was a tricky spell and Evvie could indeed to it but it would take to much time. Her original accio spell bounced off the sheild and hit a vase on a nearby table. She caught it just barely and pushed it back on the table. By the time she turned back around the pixies were already almost out of sight. By the time she caught up to them the pixies would be floating right over Al. They then dropped the box on his head.
"Look out!" She called out to Alajos before she meant to, a blush on her face. She would walk over and try to grab the box before he could see it. If she succeeded she would hide the box behind her back while still panting from running after the pixies. The pixies were already giggling and flying back towards the kitchen. They knew Evvie'd forgive them... and loved to see her blush and be all flustered.
"S..sorry, they were playing a prank, so sorry"
Gaia of course happily hopped onto her shoulder, rubbing her head against the girl's cheek. While this was going on Leo simply watched her and noticed another one of his students storm off. Deciding to ignore the younger teacher he finishes his meal and leaves for the dorms, letting the hawk know to simply return when she was done socializing. It was times like these where he wished his companion believed in the same tough love that he did. His students were strong because they were put through trials which pushed them, not because he used goddamn kiddie gloves.
Finx glanced at al with a frown she could have opened the door herself. She opened her mother to say so but shut it again and ducked her head waking into the dorm room. "Good morning undine." she said out loud her way of greating the water spirit that was there house spirit.
Al looked to Finx a little puzzled. He hadn't offended her, had he? Well, he would make sure to apologize later regardless, so he didn't put a whole lot of energy into worrying about it. In fact, he actually had no time at all to worry about it because of the sudden onslaught of a strange tupperware box wailing him in the head. A few blinks let him catch a glimpse of the pixies as they darted off, so he let it be, instead stooping down to pick up the package. Then another surprise came as Evvie snatched the box up before he could, hiding it behind her back. "It's perfectly all right. Those pixies are very tricky after all." He didn't intrude on her privacy regarding the cookies, not bothering to ask who they were for or anything. "Would you care to come in for a drink? You seem rather flustered."
((Sorry. Not much to go off of. :sweat:))
Evvie started to speak but then glanced at the ground only to see the label had come off on and now lay on the floor. Al's name sat staring at them from the floor and her blush deepened. She bit her lip and looked from him to the label to him again as if frozen by it. Finally, however, she nodded and let herself be lead to where ever he wanted to lead her. As a prefect she was allowed to enter any dorm if accompanied by one of those dorms prefects or students so he could just take her in there but she wasn't sure. She would only speak once she got wherever she was lead.
"Here...t...they were...to..thank you for all the times you've helped me. you can eat them or give them to your dorm or whatever..." She muttered, hiding behind her hair. It was so much the sheer volume of her hair that hid her face.... no it was more the blush that had her skin almost as red that made it so hidden. She inwardly would curse the pixies and bit her lip. She would only then look around to see where she was lead for a 'drink'
"Oh... thanks," Al responded a bit apprehensively. He wasn't all that fond of gifts. Still, he took the box and nodded his gratitude. It was rather nice to receive a gift from someone who wasn't obsessed with him after all. Despite his earlier, obvious discomfort, he gestured for Evvie to enter with a broad, elegant sweep of his arm, clearly back to his old self. Walking with his usual, odd grace, Al led his lady friend up into the dorm, specifically his room. The Common Room usually worked to meet people, but there were a lot of nosy little Laure students who would never let it die, and Al could never allow something like that to tarnish his reputation.
Once safely in his room, he set up some tea cups and a pot, using magic to boil up some tea to go with the cookies that Evvie had so graciously given him. When the tea was plenty warm enough, he poured two glasses, gestured a toast, and promptly downed the small mug in two swallows. "Hmm... I must have been thirsty as well," he said, his usual smile plastered onto his face. "These cookies really are scrumptious. I have to admit that I was worried at first. I've received plenty of cookies over the years, and trust me, Hitler wouldn't have fed some of them to the Jews."
It was Evvie's turn to be apprehensive as she was lead not to the common room as expected but his own room. She hadn't ever really been in a boys room....Wouldn't people talk or think something strange? She frowned to herself and seemed to hover near the door until he'd sat about making the tea. She couldn't back out now...damn pixies. She blushed a little but took her seat, adjusting her glasses in a familiar gesture of nervousness. She had to admit the tea smelled nice and she secretly had a fondness for the drink.
"T..Thanks...I ... well... I was baking some for my dorm and for my uncle and for my dad anyway so, it....it really wasn't too much trouble. I..I am glad you like them, Alajos. Um.." She half stuttered, half rambled. The fact she wasn't so perfect when not playing prefect was rapidly becoming clear. She had started to ask what the kiss of her shoulder had been about earlier but her courage failed her as it usually did. So instead she began to sip the tea.
This really is very good...I thank you for your time but if you're busy or something... She trailed off, her pale blue eyes briefly rising to his. She was tempted to run now, though she really couldn't say why. She'd spent time with him before. Perhaps it was simply because it had never been time alone? She reached for a cookie to cover her uncertainty, not understanding any of this. She'd always been so guarded by others she simply didn't know how to behave now.
Picking up on the fact that Evvie seemed rather nervous about being in his room, Al said, "Relax. I cast an unnoticeable charm before we entered. No one noticed you or I." Then he picked up another cookie and took a bite. She was extremely nervous though, as evident by her stammering. This led Al to inwardly sigh. He had hoped that she would be different from all the other girls who just adored him with all their hearts. While he appreciated their fandom, they weren't really interested in knowing him personally.
"Please, does it look like I'm busy?" he asked, a tone of exasperation evident in his voice. "Just relax and enjoy it. We can talk about whatever you want. I don't have anything going on until later today." His face was serious as he said all this, though he supposed that there was a first time for everything. Usually stuff like this didn't get to him, but he would like to have a normal conversation with a girl just once. If Evvie still couldn't calm down, maybe he would go talk to someone like that girl from earlier. The one with the parrot. She hadn't even batted an eye at him after all.
Evvie
Evvie nodded and seemed to calm down a bit, but only because it seemed he genuinely wanted to talk to her. That was rare...usually people stayed away from her as too 'rule bound' or to 'day dreamy' or they were simply to busy trying to protect her to talk to her. She still blushed a little, however, simply out of uncertainty and it was clear that this whole situation was just not one she was use to. It wasn't Alajos in and of himself...though that didn't help, but more that she just had never been very good at making small talk. She sipped her tea a moment, debating what to say.
"I....about earlier....Are you just a flirt? If..If that's the case I'd rather you not do things like that." She spoke up finally, her eyes sliding from his to some point on the wall. It was the last thing she wanted to ask as it'd just make her feel a little nervous again as she was sure the blunt question sounded insulting but it was what spilled from her lips none the less. She wanted to know the answer... what it had been about. She was honestly naive enough that it puzzled her, and the confusion in her question likely made that clear. She knew she should likely pick a different question but with her curiosity...the question had been inevitable.
Her reason for not wanting him to touch ehr with his lips for just 'play' was even simpler then her question. Unknown to him she'd never been kissed...not even on the shoulder as he had done. She was as serious as he was flirty, however, so that was little surprise. She was not the kind to 'mess around' unless her heart was in it. It was simply that. Of course if he had meant something more that would ....complicate things as she wasn't sure how she felt about him but she could never leave a question unanswered.
Feeling rather satisfied when Evvie relaxed, Al wasn't quite expecting the question she posed to him. "How about you answer? Was I being flirtatious?" he asked, a twinkle in his eye. He really loved messing with people after all, so it was far from being flirty. If he could get a reaction, all the better. Truly, it seemed that Evvie was a bit ditsy for a Clemati, which was a little troubling. Either she was acting, or she really was as she behaved. It disturbingly reminded him of all the other girls that fawned over him, and he found himself inwardly grimacing. Hopefully it was all just an act.
"My turn to ask a question I presume?" he asked, looking out the window as if there would be a fantastic revelation coming his way. "Why did you accept my invitation in here? Be honest. I really hate liars." The question was given in all seriousness, his face blank. He was genuinely curious, but he had asked that question before, and it had always ended very poorly. He expected it to be different then, but he never knew. Really, he was ready to guide her right back to the exit if she spoke even a half-lie. He really, really detested lying.
